[glow=blue,2,300]"It's been my experience that beauty often hides great danger." She smiled as she stood and stepped into the low light of the moon. She kept the forest to her back allowing herself somewhere to escape to that the male could not follow easily. "I'm just visiting, a wonderer like so many that move through these lands." The light hilighted her fur making her markings seem all the darker and striking against her whiteness. Her white eyes, with no distinction hinting at a pupil or iris, watched the stranger and met his eyes though nothing by sight would hint at it. She was not blind however and that was precisely why she kept her distance and kept her escapy route.[/glow]

OoC: I guess for the time being Niphanos is just chillin' and observing?
iC:
She was a pretty thing, indeed. Was she indicating herself when speaking of beauty hiding danger? Or something more sinister? It was impossible to tell for certain, although he truely did not fear her. Perhaps she meant the dragons which resided on this island. In any case her words were true. Especialy about his own person. However, he did not think she had caught onto him that easily. No one ever had. It was more probable she was one of the more distrusting wolves he had met. It simply meant she presented him with a challenge.
He nodded when she said she was just wandering. Maybe like himself. Though he was sure for a far different purpose. "I see. Well this place is definitely... different." Perhaps that wasn't the right word. But then, there were many words which could be said about this place... but it perhaps couldn't be summed up in only one. "Well then, perhaps I might join you... make your one, two wanderers. Afterall, two may stand up better against a foe." He paused, smiling. "What do you say?"

Niphanos heard more talking as he carefully peered over the edge of his cave. It would seem there is another with her, he thought, but at least it isn't a dragon. Watching the two, he began arguing with himself, quietly. What, aren't you going to go down and protect her? You always overreact like that. "Shut up, Mal!" he whispered. You're just afraid, aren't you? Little blue-feathered chicken dragon... "I said shut up, they'll hear us!" No, they will hear you. I don't exist, remember? He put on an irked expression before trying to shut Malshun out. I don't need this kind of distraction! he thought. Malshun always came about after too much turmoil. He's like a guiding spirit gone bad. Niphanos intensely and quietly watched the two, now more cautious than ever because of his blunder. ((Anyone else liking his sadistic alternate persona?))

(Hmm.. Seems fun.) [glow=blue,2,300]Kellyn glance up when she saw a shimmer of movement from the cave though there was no actual movement of her eyes. She ignored Niphanos for now since he had not introduced himself figuring that he wanted to remain hidden. Curious as to where she could see this conversation going she returned her attention to the larger wolf. Smiling she answer him, "Traveling with a stranger is perhaps more dangerous than being alone." Kellyn moved closer narrowing her eyes. "I might be able to see things but I am not a mind reader. I know nothing about you nor you me." Though Kellyn wasn't sure, she was fairly certain this wolf was not all he presented. It would be amusing to pick and choose different outcomes as each made up their minds. She had had a little practice with such an art as a protector and hunter for her birth pack before they were killed. If you knew what reactions would present you with what option you could aim for the most probably and direct other's actions to an extent. Hunting was the easiest. If you could see the most likely path of the deer would lead them left but you wanted them to go right then you would change where you launched you attack so as to make the right path more probable. She was debating whether or not to try it with this wolf to reveal his secrets to her.[/glow]

OoC: Hey guys, I dunno if y'all are still up for this. I'm so sorry I vanished on y'all <.< I got busy with some things over here and my fiance's dog peed on my laptop which created other problemos. Anywho, if y'all aren't lemee know ^^;
iC:
Aksel's ears swivelled on his head, listening and trying to remain aware of all his surroundings. Although Niphanos perhaps hadn't made any outward noises, Aksel was vaguely certain there was another presence nearby. Kind of when you get the strange feeling someone else is watching you from the shadows. It was just a hunch. Nevertheless, his focus remained on Kellyn and he remained placid.
To travel with a stranger could be more dangerous than alone. He smiled at her and sat back on his haunches slightly, letting his tail wave slowly behind him. "How right you are, madaam. So then the question arises, what causes two strangers to get to know each other and become friends? Or furthermore, why is it an individual might open up to a certain other individual, and then be entirely closed to a different one? Things to ponder, indeed. Wouldn't you say?" He tilted his head slightly, his actions demonstrating true curiosity.
"At the very least, dear fellow wanderer, you might offer me a chance." With this, he dipped his head in a sort of gentelmanly-like bow. He appearened vulnerable, even. He was far from it, every muscle in him ready to spring to reaction if something unexpected should occur.

((Yay! You're back! n_n Just give me a bit to get Niphanos' older mentality ready... I've been doing quite rapid character progression on another forum, so his mentality is more calm and collected than it is here. He rarely hears Malshun anymore. I just need to reread this and get this one back. :D))

[glow=blue,2,300]"Instinct." It was her only answer and she didn't think more needed to be said. Something about this wolf didn't sit right with her but she wasn't about to give herself the mother of all headaches to go chasing down some hunch either. Her sight was limited and she was having flashbacks to the demon who took her family from her. Still she waited, comforted by the fact her friend was not far away.[/glow] OOC: Yep, I'm ready for more ^.^

Aksel let out a soft sight. "Indeed," he said simply. "I suppose that also means your instincts are telling you not to even give me a small chance, eh?" Well, if so, most might resolve to move on their way. If she was that stubborn about it, why work that hard to sway her? But Aksel was feeling presented with a challenge, something he found amusing, interesting, a change.
"Well, madaam, please forgive me. Perhaps we got off on the wrong paw." He smiled when he said this, dipping his head once more. "I suppose I should have introduced myself, even if it's just for formalities. My name is Aksel. And whom do I have the pleasure of meeting?"

[glow=blue,2,300]"Kellyn Selia." White eyes narrowed but she kept her feelings to herself. Maybe she was just too distrusting. It was hard when you were as small as she was and all but powerless. "I'm a Seer." It was truth, not meant to impress or frighten but truth nonetheless.[/glow]

"A pretty name, indeed. It fits you well," it was a compliment - saying she was quite pretty. A seer, huh? Well, that certainly made a lot more sense to this whole situation. But he kept his thoughts to himself. In any case, it didn't make that much of a difference to him what she was.
"So then, Kellyn Selia, would you perhaps prefer me to call you Ms. Selia?" He was trying to step back from any intrusion he may have caused her to feel. Even if it did nothing, it was still worth the effort... to him anyway.
