She hated being a teamplayer. Hated it even more that Dameon was a teamplayer to the max. She shook her head shutting up about the topic. She'd stick by him till the end, he knew that. She looked at the pool table then to Romeo, 'How are are you betting?' YEs she was feeling feisty and wanted to clean him out. At least to drown out the sound of the damn piano.

Romeo glanced over at Laura and grinned. “Dameon is kicking my ass so there was no betting going on. But you and I can start something if you like.” The implication that Romeo felt he actually stood a chance against Laura. “Only we can’t call pockets…” He shot a glare at the cowboy, who just chuckled and shrugged.
Chameleon had gone in very carefully, not wanting to attract the cowboy’s attention if he was still there. He was—and she immediately shrank down in a corner, hiding behind several tables. Luckily, it seemed like no one else could see her still, since everyone just walked by without even glancing in her direction. She could stay here till Lina was finished. She knew Rave and Ren would not get worried if she didn’t show up till later, but she suddenly felt bad about indulging in donuts. Well, maybe she could take a couple back to them…

Laura glared at him. 'No.' If she wanted a real game she'd play a real game. Not some joke with Romeo. Besides, she was too ancy to want to try and focus. It was one on the dot when Lina stopped playing. She stood up and bowed, accepting the applause and the few extra tips which would easily cover donuts and a few large hot chocolates. She spoke briefly, got her pay from the bar and was moving out. She was hoping her little friend would join her. But hope was such a strong thing to walk with someone so scared as she was. Romeo rolled his eyes. “Fine. Pleasant as always, aren’t ya, Laura?” Dameon just gave him a look and shook his head. He’d never learn, would he.
When Meleon watched Lina get paid again and start to head toward the exit, she stood, a little uncertainly, and walked after her. A few people bumped into her but they just glanced blankly at the air before shrugging and moving along. So she was still unnoticeable, at least to them. Maybe Lina was special…but then what about that cowboy?
Chameleon could still see him by the pool area, so she hid behind other people as she walked until she got to Lina’s side. Even then, she didn’t say anything, wanting to test and see if Lina noticed her again. If not, maybe it had just been a lapse in power on her part.

Things were quiet. And Lina was afraid she'd be eating donuts alone. That is until she felt someone brush against her arm. She looked over and had to smile. 'I was afraid you weren't going to join me,' she spoke quietly as if afraid she'd spook Chameleon off.

So much for that. Lina could still see her, and Meleon was both comforted and disappointed by that revelation. Her voice was quiet, and Chameleon shifted. She still wasn’t sure why she was agreeing to this. Just for free donuts, right? “Dunno why you’d want me to,” she mumbled, looking down at the ground. “But y’know. I’m here.” This situation was unprecedented, and Chameleon was going to be awkward no matter what.

The girl wasn't used to company. Or to this sort of kindness. Lina smiled, 'Im glad all the same. Even if you aren't sure.' She tucked a strand of hair behind her head. 'Im hungry too. You mind if we stop to get something more substantial than donuts.' Wasn't her fault she was hungry but truly she was.

Something more substantial than donuts? Chameleon tilted her head, not sure what she meant. “Okay,” she said after a moment. “But can we…not take long. I have to go in like, I dunno. An hour.” Or else the others would really wonder what had happened to her. “Besides, you look like you’re talking to yourself.” Rave always hated that. It was why he preferred Ren to be around too.

Lina smiled and nodded, 'We'll be done within an hour.' She promised. Cheap chinese never took too long and Meleon could take a dozen donuts to go. At the next comment Lina shrugged, 'What's wrong with looking a little loony?' Though it was probably going to make Chameleon more uncomfortable than anything. 'We don't have to talk ifyou don't want to.' She stated, 'The company is just nice.'

Now it was Chameleon looking at Lina like she was nuts. What kind of person just wanted to walk with a girl no one else could see, not even talking? If this was compassion, it was a flavor that Meleon had never tasted before. “I guess,” she said warily, as if suspecting a trap. But she continued to follow Lina, regardless. She was somewhat jittery, looking around her as they went along. She had never been concerned with being seen before, but since Lina and the cowboy had both glimpsed her, Meleon couldn’t be sure who else would suddenly spot her.

She had every right to be nervous but Lina wouldn't push anything on her and that included conversation. They found an all night chinese food place and Lina moved in to order a few things. She paid then moved to sit down to wait. 'We can eat in here.' She suggested picking at her pants, 'Or we can eat outside if you want.'
