Silence fell over the three for a while, the only sound being the soft thuds of the horse's hooves as Della's paws were to dainty and light to make much noise. "She doesn't trust us..." Assyrian mentioned somewhat sadly to the small pointer trailing behind Shadowfax's hooves. "We're strangers." Was her simple reply. "Times have changed haven't they Della." He glanced over at the woman riding beside him, the sorrow she kept locked away slowly eating her alive. A process the shapeshifter knew well. If it hadn't been for Della's constant company and love, he probably would have ended his life long ago. "More than we know, love... More than we know..." Assyrian's soulmate replied, her voice downcast and glum as she trudged through the sand.
The shapeshifter was vaguely aware of the woman pulling up her hood, perhaps from the cold? He absently wondered if the action should be copied to keep up his human facade, but her question cut off any thoughts for the while. "Where are you from?" Though she had asked, something told Assyrian it was more for the sake of breaking the silence than actual curiosity. Still, if it kept her occupied... "Well you see... Um..." The man struggled for his origins, wondering what they would be called now or if they would be called differently or not. "Della! What do I say?!" Her only reply was a low whine. "Our home is to the far East. Over the ocean, and through a few mountain ranges if my memory serves correct." Misae's musical voice was easily hear over the howling of the wind - at least to Assyrian and Della - as she came to their rescue. "I would give you a name, but when we left a war over boundaries was going on. We never learned if the name stayed the same." She finished, her violet eyes never once looking toward the woman as she spoke. "De-" "Hush boy! You talk too much for your own good!" Della silenced Assyrian, the cold numbing her mind almost as much as her paws.
Of course, it would be Assyrian to fumble things up. Misae quickly thought of a suitable white lie to hopefully get the human girl off their backs on the subject of origins. "Our home is to the far East. Over the ocean, and through a few mountain ranges if my memory serves correct. I would give you a name, but when we left a war over boundaries was going on. We never learned if the name stayed the same." Well it's not a complete lie... There was a war going on when we left, but then again, it seems like there was always a war going on now that I think about it... Huh, oh well. The dragoness mused silently to herself after giving her explanation over where they were from. "Yea, she's right..." Assyrian said quietly, obviously knocked down a few notches. A sly grin crept upon Misae's face, only being hidden by her the hood of her cloak. "What about you? Have you always lived here?" The man asked of the woman, although his curiosity was probably genuine. However, the female shapeshifter was a bit more worried about paying attention to her surroundings than making conversation and she let the conversation fade into the background.

Misae was the one who answered the question. Sybil turned her head slightly to listen better. Of course the broad generalization of where they came from was not lost to her. They didn't want to cal it a specific name and it made her wonder if them leaving was against some policy. Then again, Escavas could hold some prejudices that may make staying here harder. They mentioned a war and Sybil looked forward again. Was there a war currently going on on the East? She didn't know. She couldn't remember anyone mentioning anything. Though pretty much cutting yourself off from the outside world and ignoring typical gossip from close "friends" would leave anyone out of the loop.
The male agreed and Sybil knew the story was false some where, or at least, nothing more than a partial truth. It didn't matter. She didn't care. They could lie through their teeth or they could tell the truth, either way all she could take was their word for it. Assyrian asked a question and she gave a mild shrug that sent another shiver down her spine. Damn wind, damn storm, damn her for being wet. 'I was born in the northern territory then moved here when I was nine to live with my grandparents.'
She hadn't realized how many deaths there were in her family. It was just something that had never dawned on her before. Maybe that's why all of this had been hard. Her sister at age 2, her parents at 9, her Grandmother at 13, her grandfather at 16...maybe it wasn't as many as some. It didn't matter. The last one had been the hardest. 'How long are you staying here?' Keep the conversation moving.

She knew. Assyrian sensed it and he could tell Misae sensed it as well when her shoulders stiffened: this girl had caught their lie. However, instead of calling their bluff, she simply replied to the question asked. "I was born in the northern territory then moved here when I was nine to live with my grandparents." The man heard a slight tremor in her voice brought about from her shivering. He had to stop himself from tossing his cloak at her. Sure it was cold, but such things didn't affect him in the way they did humans. His body was no longer as frail as it once had been...his father had seen to that. "Don't hold grudges Assyrian. Especially not against your family, and especially not after how long it's been since that day." Della's voice interrupted the shapeshifter's thoughts, lecturing him like always though lacking the usual zeal. "Besides, if he hadn't done what he did, I wouldn't be here, and you would probably have been beaten to death by some vengeful ex-husband whom you swindled out of a happy marriage." Assyrian would have said something back, but nothing particularly witty or clever came to mind so he simply stayed silent knowing she was right anyway.
"How long are you staying here?" The woman asked, using the same tone when she had asked about their origins. Assyrian shrugged, turning his head toward her as he replied. "We still have some stock to sell off so we probably won't leave until that is taken care of, soooo....a week, maybe less." He estimated, before patting his stallion's muscled neck. "I'm sure Shadowfax here is grateful for the rest though." He chuckled to himself though fell silent when Misae shot him a glare that clearly said 'shut up'. Assyrian's gaze, now a burning gold, lingered on the dragoness for a moment. Her figure was stiffened and her face tilted toward the ground. It was a position the shapeshifter had seen often and he knew from experience that her eyes would also be closed, all other senses strained to their full extent in order to see the world without her eyes. "Della...what's wrong with Misae..?" His soulmate's reply came a short moment later and she almost sounded out of breath. "She doesn't like being on the ground for so long, nor does she enjoy lingering in such a dangerous area. Assyrian, she's doing you a favor by staying. A risky favor at that, the penalty for wings is far worse than that for a few strange tattoos..." She let the sentence drop and instead loosed a sharp yelp, falling forward onto her chest. Instantly she was on her paws again and limping forward faithfully, but Assyrian wouldn't have it. "Della, stop." He commanded, wheeling Shadowfax around and dropping from the saddle with nonchalant grace of a predator. "I'm sorry..." He called over his shoulder while striding to his soulmate's side and scooping her up under one arm. "What did you do?" Assyrian asked with concern while outwardly smiling apologetically toward the girl if she had waited. If she hadn't, well, it would be a simple thing to catch up with her. Telling Della to lay over his lap, the man listened to her explanation - "I cut my paw..." - while clucking his mount forward. "Please excuse that. It would seem my dog here is a bit under the weather." Assyrian apologized, though his words were void of real emotion when he realized that Della's illness was his fault. She never would have gone into the water if it hadn't been for me... She never would have been exposed to such cold if it hadn't been for me... She never would have gotten sick if it hadn't been for me... He worried silently, so consumed with his own thoughts that the minute shake of Misae's head was almost overlooked.
Della's trip finally snapped Misae from her fear induced trance. She had become so intent with scanning her surroundings, the dragoness actually jumped with the shock of the small creature's yelp. Yanking Suntaria's head around to find the source of such a noise, the female shapeshifter saw Assyrian already scooping his soulmate from the ground and laying her over his lap back in the saddle. She opened her mouth to ask if Della was alright, but the man was already speaking. "Please excuse that. It would seem my dog here is a bit under the weather." He sounded sidetracked, however, and the dragoness wondered if the two were having one of their conversations. No... Misae realized with sympathy darkening her violet eyes. This conversation is one sided... Giving a minute shake of her head, the athletic young woman snapped her friend back to reality and sent his guilt to a screeching halt. Or at least a slow crawl as she knew Assyrian would blame himself no matter what she said.

The conversation continued as normal, leaving Sybil unaware that more conversation was churning in the background. She was focusing on home and what to do with these two strangers she had stumbled across. He was guessing they would only be here a week at most and she mulled that over. A week or longer, depending on how the storm raged on. Traveling in horrible weather was hard. Trading goods was even harder.
She was focusing right on the road and then finally noticed they had stopped. The sound she had previously heard the dogs cry. She tugged at Thunder's straps and turned her head to watch Assyrien as he hurried to help his dog. The poor thing had hurt itself and he claimed she was under the weather. Most likely from the cold since the dog didn't look so aged. She looked to Misae and then toward the male and his pet, 'I have herbs at my home for the wound as well as plenty of warm blankets to wrap her up in. By morning she should be well.'
They were strangers in a strange land. As much as Sybil wasn't one for company, these three and the horses were going to need some thing more than a hotel to stay in for the night. The week even. They were already on edge as it was. 'My stables are full of fresh hay as well. Your horses will be able to rest peacefully.' Again, she could worry over their own lives and what harm they meant to bring. Yet there was no point to it. They were different, that much was obvious. The woman especially. Sybil was unsure of what she saw still, but whatever it was, it was something that would make her stick out like a sore thumb should it be discovered.

Assyrian was surprised with the woman's offer, however, he was smart enough not to decline. "That is very generous of you." He replied, his voice soft but still loud enough to be heard over the whistling wind. "I promise compensation for allowing us into your home like this." A small smile came to his lips and he patted Della's head reassuringly. "We'll be out of this weather soon, don't worry." He whispered through their link, his soulmate's reply a small lick on his forearm beneath her dark muzzle.
The smell of Della's blood bombarded Misae's nose and made her mouth water. Since the creature was a part of Assyrian's soul, she didn't bleed as a normal beast, but rather she bled an almost golden substance that to the dragoness was the most succulent scent in the world. However, the consequences of harming Della ensured Misae's remaining in her own saddle. Seeing Assyrian with only half a soul would crush her, and knowing that it was her fault would destroy her. Besides, the shapeshifter had grown to love the man's soulmate, even if she did have a bit of a sarcastic streak now and then...
"I have herbs at my home for the wound as well as plenty of warm blankets to wrap her up in. By morning she should be well." The woman was saying, surprising Assyrian and the dragoness both with her offer. "My stables are full of fresh hay as well. Your horses will be able to rest peacefully." She continued, making Misae's eyes widen with shock. Where had the brooding, and mistrustful girl gone and when had she been replaced with this creature who now rode beside the two shapeshifters? Well, the dragoness wouldn't complain, it would give Assyrian someone to talk to and herself a nice bed to sleep in. Ahhh... Sleep. She couldn't remember the last time her eyes had closed, it must have been at least three or four days. Come to think of it... When was the last time I actually slept in a bed..? She wondered silently, a smile curling the corners of her mouth as she thought about the warmth of the blankets and the softness of a bed she hadn't even seen yet.

It was hard not eel sympathy for the troop. They had done no wrong (as far as she knew) and did deserve something. Then again, selfishly she could be wishing the odd company would take her mind off of what had happened. How she stupidly let go of her only treasure. There was a crack of lightning over head followed by the deep rumble of the thunder. And like that, the sky itself seemed to open up.
The rain fell angrily on the town. All those who were unfortunate to get caught in it would surely be soaked. Sybil looked up at the storm clouds for a moment before back to looking straight ahead. The perfect weather for their moods. She squeezed Thunders sides a bit harder, encouraging the horse to pick up the pace more. Once home, she knew she was going to need to change and get something warm within her. The dog as well. A sick pet was never a good thing. She always felt sad when Thunder got sick and judging from the way the man held the dog, he'd be more than just a little upset.
Through the dark winding streets of Escavas. She made sure to avoid massive streets, feeling the people in the windows would be too nosy. They wouldn't be recognized, but all the same they were best avoided. Through the streets and toward the part of the city where everything seemed to thin out some. Houses of elegant sorts springing up all over the place. Some looked cozy, others looked posh and overly done. The lights were on and smoke could be seen pouring from the chimneys. THey finally came to one house that was elegant as it was just tucked away. Up the drive and toward the stable.
Sybil easily dismounted from Thunder, leading him further into the stable. Using a hand, she sought out the lantern that always rested on the wall. All it took was a simple touch and the flame immediately lit up on the wick. Shivering she moved to set Thunder in his stall, 'You can place your horses where ever you feel comfortable.' She wasn't going to dictate where they went. As she promised, there was fresh hay just begging to be eaten and slept in. She moved to the other side and grabbed several blankets for them. 'I apologize if its nothing fancy.' Meaning no one to come and set the horses away themselves. All she had was one servant who pretty much was a jack of all trades.

There were many houses along the way to the woman's own home, and none of them - Misae was proud to realize - were near to grandness of the estate her mentor had given her. She smirked smugly, suddenly finding it rather nice to be practically ageless. Eventually, they came across a path down which their "guide" led them, and the dragoness's eyes lit upon the stable. Suntaria whinnied excitedly, raising her hooves higher until she was near prancing alongside Shadowfax whom was a bit more controlled. Della growled sharply, though it was low enough Misae doubted if the human girl had heard, and the hot blooded filly quickly calmed herself. Not a bad place... For a human anyway... She silently admitted before dismounting and following the woman into her stables.
The stables were nice and had a cozy feel about them, Assyrian didn't doubt Shadowfax would be content there. He dismounted and followed the girl into the building, squinting his eyes a bit when the lantern flared into life. But almost instantly, he adjusted to the new light and the pain went away. "You can place your horses where ever you feel comfortable." The woman was saying as the shapeshifter gently lifted his soulmate from the saddle. Della whimpered as her small paws touched the ground and she was almost instantly shivering. Assyrian bit his lip and glanced up at Misae who had seemed to materialize before him, and was taking Shadowfax's reins; apparently already having placed her mount in a stall. "Take care of her. I'll take care of these two and check up with you later." The dragoness offered before turning to her task.
"I apologize if its nothing fancy." Assyrian looked up to see the girl holding an armful of blankets. He scooped up Della under one arm and quickly moved to help her, setting the small dog down when he reached the woman's side. "Not at all madam, it's more than enough. Um, would you like some help with those?" The man offered, a kind smile on his face as he reached out his arms to take the blankets.
Shadowfax's flanks and shoulders were steaming as were Suntaria's. Misae unbuckled the filly's saddle and draped it over the stall's wall before nimbly leaping over the wall and doing the same with Shadowfax's. The act was already done before the dragoness could realize her foolishness. "Gah!" She hissed, turning her attention to where the woman stood, burning violet eyes practically daring the human to make a fuss. Let her see... I'm tired of playing dress up with these fools... The dragoness threatened silently when she found the woman and Assyrian seemingly in conversation. Misae's wings ached to stretched and the heavy riding cloak was becoming stuffy under her hood, but fangs and slit pupils were not acceptable here and no matter her disgust with these human's rules or love of normality, she was unwilling to compromise Assyrian or Della. Shadowfax's nose was warm on her shadowed cheek and Misae looked up, realizing she had been lost to thought for a moment. "Don't worry... This game will be over soon enough... Even if I have to burn this entire city to cinders to make them realize what they should truly fear...." She snarled under her breath, something like sparks flickering about her fingers for a second before control fell over the dragoness again and she returned to untacking the horses.

They were getting comfortable and thats what she wanted. Sybil looked up when him as he offered, 'No. These are for the horses. I know mine gets cold and I'd rather not see him freeze.' Her eyes glanced over at where she saw the tail end of Misae. They were definitely different. She licked her lips, 'Take one for yours if you'd like.' She wasn't going to hold back, 'But I think we should hurry. Your friend looks slightly agitated.' She gave a brief smile, waited till he took any blankets then went to go address Thunder.
After a loving pat down, before leaving him to munch on his oats and hay. After making sure everyone was gathered, she dimmed the light of the lantern and lead them up to the house. Using a key she unlocked a door that led out from the kitchen. There was a fire already burning brightly and she moved over to the counter where she was able to light a few more lamps. She glanced around for a moment then back to everyone. She reached up to take off her cloak and hang it near the fireplace. Her gown was still soaked and she was still cold. 'You can hang your things there.' She looked at Maisae, 'I may have some things to fit you. But you,' She turned to Assyrain, 'I don't think I'll have much.' She could look for something big from her grandfather but who knew. He had been a frail man.
((Lol no its fine. I completely understand. No rushes or hurries I promise.))

Assyrian nodded and gave a kind smile. "Thank you milady. You are very generous." He laughed at the girl's next comment, glancing back at where Misae was catching the bit from Shadowfax's mouth. "Oh her? Heh, well she's always like that. Don't take it too seriously." His grin was wry and playful, like that of a mischievous child. However, he knew it was time to let her be so he took a pair of blankets and turned for Misae, Della clicking along at his heels. "Here, throw this over Suntaria. They got soaked out there and they might be hardy, but they're still horses. Sickness is a real possibility for them." The dragoness simply nodded her head as the man draped the blanket over the dividing wall before heading for her own mount's stall. This time she went out and around instead of simply jumping over. "How long are we staying here?" She asked as Assyrian gave his mount a good rub down, checking carefully for any wounds or areas of soreness. "Well, we still have business we need to take care of so... I suppose when that's done we'll get back on the road." Misae hissed under her breath, her hood muffling the sound. "Oh yes, we have to sell of stock that's right." The man rolled his eyes and shrugged out from under his cloak, the heavy material falling with a soft 'whoosh' into the hay. "Oh cool it, what was I supposed to do? Tell her we're here digging for gold?! The truth is unbelievable and we'd be arrested on the spot for heresy. We are different Sae-" "Yes! Yes, we're different so let's just call it quits and get out of here while we still have our lives!" Assyrian was quiet for a moment at the dragoness's words. His hands stilled over the stallion's smooth coat, the great beast's ears pinning back slightly as he sensed his master's unease. "You don't have to stay. You were never forced to come." The man finally said quietly, sorrow weighing down his words.
He hadn't known the extent of her distress while in this town, and now that the truth was suddenly thrown in his face he wished for the ignorance to return. "That's how it is with these things love. Perhaps you should have paid better attention to her feelings, and less attention to your own greed..." Della said gently, her tone almost like that of a mother's. "How come you always seem to have an answer to everything..?" Assyrian grumbled silently, casting a mock glare down at his soulmate. "Because, love, you always seem to ask simple questions." Assyrian let out a huff, but there was a playful smile curling one side of his mouth.
The dragoness gently patted down her young mount, checking for any wounds or sore spots just as Assyrian had done. Once satisfied, she took the blanket Assyrian had laid over the wall and threw it over Suntaria's back. The filly tossed her head a bit at this new object on her back, but she quickly settled with a few softly spoken words from her mistress. "Finished?" Misae looked up into the golden eyes of her friend, his face looked apologetic but his eyes told a different story. "Not in the least..." She hissed under her breath referring to their previous conversation even though she knew he had been talking about finishing up with her mount. Assyrian rolled his eyes and ran a hand through his raven black hair, a pinkish tint coming to his eyes. "Oh would you-" She was tired of this, tired of playing dress up in his old world and tired of chasing a past that was no longer in his reach. Rounding on him suddenly, her hand clawed at her side and a snarl curling her lips. "No I won't drop it because you are in the wrong hatchling! You are endangering both of us and all because you want to try and be a human?! Because you want to try and fit in again?! Well I don't need to-" Her words were sharp and venomous, but with a small whine from Della she was silenced. Misae sighed and rubbed her temple, looking up to where the girl now waited for them. Though their conversation had been hushed, she didn't doubt that even a human would have noticed it. Then again, who was she to be saying what humans did or did not notice? "Mask up hatchling, we have eyes on us..." The dragoness said as she swiftly brushed by Assyrian toward the girl. The man and his soulmate quickly followed suit.
It was a short walk to the woman's house and once inside, Misae was pleased to see the cheerful fire dancing in the hearth. There was something about flames which made always bettered her mood. "You can hang your things there." The woman said as she hung her cloak in front of the fireplace. "I may have some things to fit you." She said as Assyrian took Misae's cloak and hung it next to the woman's, Della - as always - trotting at his heels to sit patiently by the fire. A small smile lit upon the dragoness's lips for a brief moment, but it quickly faded. The fire cast a cheerful glow on her elvin face, however, which hid the boredom in the resulting expression. "But you, I don't think I'll have much." The girl continued, turning her gaze to Assyrian. The latter instantly flashing their hostess a brilliant smile. "Thank you milady, you truly are too kind. And please, don't fret over my account. I promise to stand here until I dry so as not to dirty your lovely home." The shapeshifter replied, even offering her a charming bow which Misae found a bit over theatrical. Of course. She rolled her eyes though kept silent and waited for the woman's reply.

It was easy to notice the hostility in the group, the constant air of thickness. They had lingered and now were unsettled by it. Sybil hadn't asked them to intervene with what she was doing, so she didn't feel guilty on that end. She did feel bad though that the weather had turned sour when it should have stayed sweet and bright. Because of it, the Fates were able to shift everything around and turn it inside out. For now though, she wasn't going to make it awkward any more than it was. To do that, she just had to play ignorant, like she didn't notice a thing. They were different and so was she.
She tossed back a piece of blond hair that stuck to the side of her face. 'Im not worried about dirtying the place. If I was afraid of that I wouldn't have allowed your pet inside.' She glanced down at Della for a moment, gave a smile, then addressed the two "humans." 'I'll be back in a moment. There's a kettle right there if you wish to make tea, which at this point may help calm all of our frayed nerves.' If frayed even began to describe it. 'And please help yourself to any thing to eat.' She glanced out the window to watch the rain patter against it before turning to enter the rest of the house to go change and gather some supplies for the guests.
The house was dark only a few lamps lit here and there to mark certain spots, but she knew her way around without them. Up the stairs, holding her skirts so they wouldn't drag behind her. She was fatigued physically and now that she was alone she felt the weariness of her mind setting in. THe hall held no lights and she looked down it. Nothing moved or stirred nd she felt like the journey was now too much. She blinked heavily then sighed. She could get through this. Had been through it before. She reached for the nearest light scone on the wall and let her fingers rest on the cool metal. Whispered words flew past her lips and a second later, not only was the one light lit, but the several others that decorated the hall.
The path was now brighter than before but it still seemed dreary. Licking her chapped lips she moved down to her rooms. Once there, another spell and the candles sprang to life, as well as the fire in the hearth. She changed quickly into something less fancy and formal but not quite so casual as pajamas, setting the soiled things in the tub in the other room. She'd deal with them later. She brushed her hair out, frowning at the tangled mess before throwing it into another braid and twisting it up into a bun which was secured with pins. She grabbed an extra night gown for the woman and then out of her room she went, the candles extinguishing themselves. Down the hall and into her grandparents room.
She frowned as again the candles light up the room on their own. There was no dust, aparently the house keeper kept it plenty clean. But it was still unnerving. Taking a breath she headed to the bureau and looked for the biggest night things she could find. She found one, held it up to her small frame, deemed it big enough to at least try and headed out. Hopefully the guests had done what they needed, discussed what they discussed and all was well.

"I like this one Assyrian." Came Della's gleeful voice in Assyrian's thoughts when the woman smiled at her. He had to fight from rolling his eyes. "Della, you like anyone who gives you a fire and rug. The smile was bonus." He replied silently, while nodding to the girl. "Thank you miss." He said as she gazed at the rain outside the window. "Your hospitality is much appreciated." His gaze followed hers into the rain as he searched for what she was looking for, but she soon turned away and walked deeper into the house. With her stride followed Assyrian's eyes, a grin curling the far side of his mouth until the blunt part of Misae's wing clubbed him across the back of the head. "Shape up. The least you could do is be polite. Stop acting like such an a** and think with your brain for once." Came her venomous chastisement. He looked back to see flames in her eyes. Ah hell... Why does she have to be so serious all the time.... He thought to himself grumpily, not really expecting the answer from Della. "Because she learned how to survive in another time Assyrian. Hiding what she is isn't something she's used to and you forcing that upon her is cruel. She's fighting her instincts to stay with you and you're ignoring that fact. Respect her as your elder for once, love. She knows what's best I promise...."
The man ran a hand through his raven hair, staring at the floor for a short time. When he looked back up at his friend, he made sure his eyes wouldn't give away the annoyance he felt. "You know, you're right. I need to be more careful and I need to control myself better. So how about I make you some tea, huh?" He held up his hands at Misae's disgusted sneer. "Oh come on, it's not all that bad. Cheer up, Sae. We'll be out of here in no time and then you can let loose for a while." He encouraged, turning to take up the kettle - which appeared to already be prepared with the tea leaves out and ready beside it - and hang it on a hook over the fire.
The lithe dragoness was still far from forgiving, but at least he was trying to make an effort at easing her temper. Although tea definitely wasn't the way to go. For a brief moment, the thought of honey mead and sweet loaves crossed her mind making the female's mouth water. What she wouldn't give to be back in such a city which still sold such treats, but this had been her only option. "Don't you ever come back here again!" He had told her, screamed at her really. Misae still remembered the way the room had lit up as fire seemed to simply spring out of the air; finding fuel from her foster father's infinite rage... Rage that had been directed at her. He could have killed her then, he probably should have, but instead he had simply left her into exile. Stripping her title, her rights, and her pride all in one cruel command. But Assyrian had been there to comfort her then and years later, she had returned the favor. They hadn't parted since.
"Um, Sae?" The seemingly young woman looked up at the sound of her name, Assyrian starring at her with something like embarrassment. "You wouldn't know how to make tea would you...?" Of course she did, but she wouldn't help him on this. For once, she would let him fall, let him taste the bitterness of failure. Walking to kneel silently by Della's head and examine her paw, she smirked wryly. "I'm sure you'll be able to figure it out." Footsteps were coming closer, getting louder as they neared. Misae tucked any loose strands of her pale hair away that might have fallen loose from her hood and made sure that the shadows still kept her eyes hidden. As she expected, Assyrian was instantly walking towards her asking if she needed any help with anything. The image of him as a wriggling puppy crossed through her mind and she had to fight back the urge to laugh. Foolish hatchling... She thought good-naturedly, a small smile curled one side of her mouth when she looked up at his childish antics.

If she had known they didn't know how to make tea, she would have gotten the kettle going herself. All the same, it was going to be amusing to see these outsiders adapt to this way of life. At least long enough to do their business and be done. Sybil appeared and nodded to everyone. 'I have things that may or may not fit,' she stated setting the garments on the table. She handed the smaller gown to Misae and then the larger one over to the big man. 'If it doesnt fit, you may be out of luck.' Sleeping in the buff while his clothes dried maybe his only option.
'You can change now if you want. There's plenty of rooms available. I can get fires going in which ever ones you need. That should give your clothes plenty of time to dry.' Then they could warm up with tea, she could, maybe apologize for getting them into the situation. Then come morning, after the storm had passed, they could be on with their lives.
