Lakuu's gentle touch made Aiu jump a bit, she hadn't expected him to make such a move. She could have been misreading signals, but it made her question whether he truly did have a mate. But he pulled too quickly. The young female began to follow after him, stopping herself before she overstepped any boundaries. "I'd have you smile." He spoke, moving to sit by her side. She scooted a small bit closer, just enough to where her wing brushed against his side but unsureness held her back. He had already pulled away once, she didn't want there to be a second time. "And I'd have you start the hunt..." What?! Aiu almost fell over. What did she know of hunting with another wolf or with another anything for that mater? Absolutely nothing, that's what!
The winged she-wolf began to pull back, a look of shock on her face, but there had been something in his voice. Some subtle apology and guilt, he wanted her smile and just as badly she wanted his. Cocking her head to the side as he spoke his last sentence, a small grin curled one corner of the female's mouth. Males... She sighed silently before stepping closer and nuzzling her head under his jaw briefly. "I'll smile when you do." She whispered, touching her nose to his cheek for a moment before spinning away in a whirlwind of fur and feathers. Giving him one last glance, Aiu let out a short laugh before streaking down the hill, staying as low to the ground as she could. As her paws carried her down the slope, the cool embrace of shadow slid over her figure, cloaking her white fur and making her so inconspicuous that if one hadn't been looking for the she-wolf they wouldn't have seen her. A quick bum-bump, bum-bump, sounded from the strong white chest as the wolfess's heart kicked into overdrive - sometimes it paid to have avian attributes. The shadows only slid away when she was between the deer and the forest, now they only had one way to run and that was into the meadow. She gave a snarl, snapping at a buck's nose and missing it simply because of his quick wheel about. No... Not him... The femme decided, instantly moving to a new target.
A low thunder came from their sharp hooves hitting the ground, but Aiu zipped about them with such grace and agility that not a one could touch her. Finally, one began to lag behind. She almost laughed. Why, hello there three legs... He was right after all.. However, the adolescent she-wolf didn't have the time to think about who was right and wrong, she needed to concentrate. Usually she would have simply cut the deer of from its herd and found a way to bite its throat, but now she had a partner whom she needed to think about. So, following the first part of her normal routine, the winged wolfess sped up and got between the limping doe and her herd. Flaring her wings and snarling viciously she turned the handicapped deer away and farther into the meadow. The doe had slowed slightly, exertion taking its toll on her, but Aiu's heart no longer held mercy and she kept on, relentless. Darting around the deer as she tried to turn back, the female wolf found her self directly beside the malformed leg. There was no hesitation in her attack. With the fangs of a daemon and the strike of a falcon, the she-wolf's jaws closed around the doe's leg tripping her up instantly. Unfortunately, as fast as they were going, that didn't give the aggressor much time to dodge the doe as she fell. A pained yelp escaped the wolf's jaw as they both went rolling. The hurt only made the huntress angry, though, and put a new drive to her hunt. Leaping forward, she landed with her front claws trying to grip into the deer's flanks while her jaws held tight to the flesh there. She squeezed her eyes shut against the pounding of sharp hooves into her gut and held on, leaving the killing blow to Lakuu. Please let me have done this right... She pleaded to whatever god happened to be listening. Please let me make him smile.

L A K U U knight taking on the sun I am floating away Lost in a silent ballet I’m dreaming you’re out in the blue and I am right beside you Awake to take in the view Late nights and early parades Still photos and noisy arcades
Lakuu kept his calm center, eyes trailing to her winged form as it came next to him- her wing brushed him, and he wouldn’t have noticed except for the tad bit of pressure and affirmed such pressure with his peripheral vision. He also kept a steady gaze on her, watching the surprise hit her from his words. Dark muzzle lowered as she started to back off a few steps, inquiry rooted into her eyes, unsure of her own capabilities. One could never know how well the task could be done, until it was done. Caution took hold as she stopped and changed directions back toward him, perhaps a little more positive than before. Her head gentle rolled under him and he relaxed, feeling how sweet and simple the notion was, just as well as she nosed his cheek. As she quickly removed herself, she left a phrase in his mind that he knew would be there a while. "I'll smile when you do." Paws trailed at a lope after her, stiff as all his focus wavered from the words that bounced around in his mind. “I’ll smile when you do.” He was a little behind at first, but quickly pushed limbs until they slightly strained to catch up to her- but moving off to the side- a little ahead to help if need be.
It had been a good thing that his day sky and night sky eyes had not fallen from the graceful hunter- for she seemed to almost entirely invisible to the eye- but like a figure traveling by shadow her lean figure could be traced. His heart picked up speed, just as his feet took great strides. His thin form traveled to the side of the herd, keeping them toward Aiu and not to scatter the too much until she had picked her target. Tongue lolling while deathly silent movement through the trees- he slipped over the landscape like fish maneuvering through a river. Body kept close to the ground until she had started taking out the deer. A flush of pride and gratefulness hushed any worries in his mind- his face gave way to a twitch of a smile as he could almost read her thoughts as she moved away from her first target to one who lagged. Part of Lakuu wanted to just watch her finished the beast off, but he could tell she was leaving room for him, a natural hunter and a natural learner. He leaped into the commotion just as they tumbled- while she rearraged herself on the upper leg he moved like liquid at high speeds over the neck. Canines snapped onto the back part of its neck and like lightening jerked it over and around as his frame moved over the deer. A series of cracks hit the air like rock clashing on rock. The deer’s frame shuddered and trembled, only ceasing after lakuu had shifted his teeth over the doe’s gullet and clung until he could feel the heart beat ebb into oblivion. Eyes closed and he thanked the appropriate Being for the meal and looked for Aiu’s white and blue form, hoping she had not gotten hurt.
“You, miss Aiu, are quite the hunter.”
He was more musing this to himself, but smiled nonetheless, licking his maw where the deer’s blood that leaked. Lakuu was not a playful creature, but he circled around toward her and tapped her shoulder with his maw and sat there, sometimes looking at her, sometimes watching their surroundings, sometimes glancing at their kill. It had indeed been a good afternoon, even with a nonmember to the pack- it seemed like he kept revalidating the fact that he could learn from everyone…He’d been glad though that it had been Aiu, half hoping she’d learned a little bit from this experience as well.
My darling, we’re both on the wing, look down and keep on singing! And we can go anywhere Are you there? Are you there, or are you just a decoy dream in my head? Am I home or am I simply tumbling all alone?

Aiu leaped away from the deer as Lakuu's jaws found their mark. Her paws hit the dirt at an odd angle and she stumbled before finding balance. If it hadn't been for her agility and of course her wings, she probably would have fallen. A shudder waved through her light figure and then a visible cringe at a series of cracks that filled the air, like rocks sliding over each other. The slender female shook her head, trying to stop that echo. Surprisingly, her first thought was of her partner. Worry coursed through her as different scenarios of Lakuu getting hurt while he hunted their prey ran through her currently one-track mind. A leg being broken, his spinal chord snapped; a terrible dread settled in the pit of her gut and she searched desperately for his metallic form.
Oh, beautiful relief. Her emerald gaze caught that of his light and dark eyes, and joy flashed across her visage. She trotted to meet him, a slight twinge of pain coming from her wing but that was easily ignored as she neared Lakuu, her concern mirrored in his own eyes. "You, miss Aiu, are quite the hunter." He complimented her, a smile coming to his lips as he licked blood from his muzzle. Aiu tossed her head in mock pride. "I suppose I am aren't I." She teased as the distance between them closed. The slender male walked around her and bumped her shoulder with his nose, hesitating there for a moment. Giving a wry grin, the winged she-wolf spun around and nibbled on his ear before licking his muzzle. Just as quickly, the female danced away, prancing a few yards away before stopping to study him curiously.
The taste of blood fresh on her tongue was sweet and warm, and she was sensing something new about him. He seemed to be asking for a game, but he had turned his head down on such antics before. But you had stepped over the threshold of a game and into manipulation then... A small voice said in her mind. Watch yourself, your ways are not his. You are not his kind. Another voice said, more wary than the first. But they were both ignored, she possessed focus for only the male whom she watched so intently. Her ears swiveled behind her for a moment and then back to the male. A coy glint flashed in her eyes and she eased her front half down. Pain flared anew in her right wing as she stretched them out for balance, but she didn't care about that. It wasn't strong enough for her it to be anything serious, and thus was quickly forgotten. So, rump in the air, and tail wagging over her back. Flashing jade eyes studied Lakuu with playful interest and a snowy head tilted slightly to the left. "So," she began teasingly, "what's it gunna be. Me? Or the deer?" Aiu held her pose, her long white banner still waving slowly behind her as she waited for the male's reply.

L A K U U knight taking on the sun don’t condemn me for who i am somehow we’ll get along
He should have known that she was going to jump on any opportunity to coax more play out of him. It just wasn’t done, he couldn’t, he couldn’t feel that thrill connection while really playing- however…There was one activity that could be interpreted as play, but he didn’t want to think too much of what the pups called it, for it held a sour taste in his memories. A sort of grin crossed his mug and faded to a lighter smile, almost a sigh and reluctance to giving in…sorta.
Lakuu’s mind worked quickly, he wanted to make this interaction something she’d remember- seeing how she was a wanderer and he’d probably not see her again. He felt like those who traveled missed out on a lot of what was important to him. At the moment though he was feeling like he was missing something, it had been in the back of his head- and now remembered that his little collection of metals had been left behind. Within his thoughts he quickly commanded them to lift from the ground and find him- and while they started traveling in his direction he stood straight and looked at her with a wry look on his face.
“Hmmmm...”
Eyes glanced from the meat to the angelic being- knowing that if they didn’t eat it now, they could later- or perhaps someone from the pack would cross by for a bite…Either way, the food would not go to waste. Nimble paws moved quickly as he started a lope with small quick steps toward and slightly pass her. Blue gaze didn’t falter even as more than a couple dozen different shapes of metallic balls joined and hovered all about him.
“How about… a run…”
And with that he took one of the jittar balls and mentally controlled it to bump her shoulder and then return back to him.
“You’re it.”
Body turned quickly and dashed off- knowing that even if she wasn’t following behind his lanky speedy form, that he’d could if he had to, enjoy a run by himself.
the most beautiful music in my head silence and the wind

Rejection showed in Lakuu's eyes and the adolescent wolfess knew what would come next. She would have turned to simply eat, swallowing down the hurt that was rising in her throat, had he not smiled. There was some reluctance lingering in the action, but that quickly faded. "Hmmmm..." He sounded, as if deep in thought. Aiu cocked her head, standing up straight and watching him with a quizzical look. What is he planning..? She wondered idly, while her senses instantly went hypersensitive, unsure of what he would do next and not wanting to get caught off guard if he was going to move first. But he didn't lunge for her. Instead his eyes flashed to the carcass behind the snowy she-wolf and then back to her before the slender wolf started froward in a tip-toeing lope. The distance between them quickly closed and he brushed by her a bit. His gaze remained on her even as small orbs of a metallic substance appeared from...somewhere, and began to rotate around him.
“How about… a run…” Lakuu prompted and shortly after one of the small metal balls bumped Aiu on her shoulder then returned to its controller. "You're it." He said, directly twirling about and sprinting away. For a second, the white female was confused and could only stare after the slender male in bewilderment. However, within a second, the initial shock passed and adrenaline thickened the blood in her veins. A wry grin came to her snowy maw and she dug her claws into the loamy soil beneath them; those large, snowy wings flapping massively a single time and shooting their bearer forward as a blur of white. Speed was what her body was built for. Aerodynamic and all that. Every few steps, lithe snowy paws would lift off the ground and the she-wolf would narrow her wings enough to send her back to the ground. In this manner, she streaked after the Shinkou male, hot on his heels and gaining with each stride.
