It had been a long time running, but it finally happened. Her pack had claimed a long all their own! The best part was, it was in lands similar to their birth place of Yokusei. Ea stepped put of the den into the bright morning light of this snowy new land. In the distance, the musk of elk and goats could be picked up on the gentle winds. It seemed as though the weather had settled just for this day.
The blue pendant around her neck caught the suns rays and shimmered. Hearing a rustling coming from within the den, Ea looked behind her and smiled.
Darklight trotted out of the cave after her sister and walked up beside her. "You ready, Serra Ea?" She offered an encouraging smile with her words. She knew her sister would be nervous about her positions. She didn't doubt her capability, though.
There was no hesitation. "As ready as I could possibly be." Surity colored her tone as well as her features. She felt uplifted and new. Nothing physically had changed, but the feeling was there nonetheless. "Shall we make a call to all our members? We should all join in on this momentous occasion."
She nodded. "But of course my sister. It is only right."
She grinned and her sister did the same. Ea turned to the expanse of the Highlands and took a deep breath. With her head lifted to the sky she let out that enchanting, musical sound that was her howl. The tone rose and fell with smooth transition and easy rhythm.
She let her sister's song resonate throughout Sub Serin before she made a noise. She threw back her head and bellowed her call.

He trotted along easily, breathing in the cool morning air. It was a much different climate than that where he had just previously been, but it was not uncomfortable. It was crisp and beautiful with the white on all the landscape, making it look innocent and fresh. It was perhaps perfect, he thought as he considered how he was starting new himself. Slowly but surely, his great walls and shell were being ebbed away and revealing his truer self... the one he had kept buried for far too long.
Akuma was perhaps the newest member to the pack, if not one of the newer ones and he perked his ears as he heard the call of the Serra, followed and blended with that of her sister. A brief smile came to his lips and he quickened his pace, leaving a trail of rising snow bits tumbling behind him. It wouldn't be long now.
He was panting slightly as he slowed and now stood before Ea and Darklight. He dipped his head, first toward Ea and then her sister, showing his respect. He wagged his tail slightly as he spoke, "Good morning, Serra and Tyran." He knew the purpose of this as he had heard it in the howls, and he couldn't help but feel a bit anxious.
Despite his resolve to start again, he was still having a battle within himself, though rather unnoticeable to anyone who didn't know this about him. He still wasn't used to being around a lot of company at once but at the same time he was eager for the whole pack to be together. The feeling of oneness and energy. Just like so long ago, for him. Perhaps it would get better with time.

The den's roof had made for a more-than-comfortable bed for Aithne, despite the freezing cold. It was a new experience, being in this type of weather, and would take the lanky wolf some getting used to. She admired the blanketed earth as she half-slept, her breathing slow and steady. Her honeydew eye continued to pierce her surroundings, although it seemed a tad glazed over from chill and sleep.
When she noticed movement coming from inside the den, she slowly opened the other eye, ears lifted high. It was the Snow Sisters, greeting the day--something Aithne was a little too chilled to do at the moment. She made no announcement of her presence, as it would probably startle the poor things. I somewhat followed them here from the shadows, didn't I...?
Ea's call made her jump in surprise. She could sing as well? Very interesting. And her sister had quite the howl on her--Aithne was rather envious. Her howl came out...a bit stranger than most. Frightened many of those that had the displeasure of hearing her howl.
Instead of joining in, she lethargically stretched her gray wings that seemed slightly transparent in this new area, letting out a quiet yawn. After standing to stretch out her stiffened limbs, she fluffed her wing and curled it about her chest and face, warming herself, then sat back down.
"Good morning to you, too," she said from behind her wing. "Certainly that call wasn't just for me?" She had been aware that Ea and Darklight had been involed in attempting to recruit pack members, however, she had no idea whether they had been successful or not. She peeked around her wing, ready to wait for hours on end for the first, newest member to show.
And all of a sudden, there he stood.
A mammoth of a wolf, it seemed--he would dwarf her easily--had made his way to Ea and Darklight. He was a member? To be honest, she wasn't too comfortable around males, but only because the only male contacts she had growing up were her brother and father. Her eyes softened for a moment as she thought back to them, being brought back to reality when the male spoke.
She quickly wrapped the wing around her again, pressing it close to her. Sure, it was a tad rude, but she was...well...shy. Plus, she was freezing her nose off out here.
(OOC: Darn first posts. *tips her post over* Never come out quite right, do they? XD )

The howling continued for a little while before the two stopped. Ea opened her eyes, which she had closed while she was howling. Suddenly, she heard the familiar sound of a wing moving about. But this was not just any wing. A smile crossed Ea's maw as she looked back at the sound of Aithne's voice.
"Good morning, Tyran Aithne." The female was wrapped up in her own wing, as strange as that sounded. The poor thing must be so cold out here. It would take some time to get used to the temperature. Perhaps her own body would respond and grow more fur. Ea almost chuckled to herself at the thought.
"Well, it was in part. We do have others that aren't already here." How exactly she had gotten there was a story, she was sure, but she did not really care. She was just glad that she was there.
Darklight turned as her sister did to the familiar voice of her fellow Tyran. "Morning Aithne." She didn't see the need stand on formalities this early in the morning, especially when there were no loners or outsiders around.
There was a change then. One with a hunters paw could feel the vibrations of the approaching beast. A large beast at that. It seemed Akuma was near.
Suddenly, the large mass that was Akuma came bounding toward them. Ea's smile widened at the sight of him. She was glad that the call had been answered by one who was not already in such close proximity. As he said his greetings, Ea nodded as he addressed her, and Darklight did the same. "It is good to see you this morning, Akuma."
"Good morning, Undecided One." She smirked to show she was only kidding around. Their meeting may have been under strained circumstances...then again it seemed most of the time she met wolves it was under strained circumstances.
Ah, well, what could she do? Being untrusting was too much a part of her nature. It was a good thing her sister was as patient with her as she was, or she would have more enemies than she knew what to do with. Not that she cared, but still...
Ea made a quick scan of the horizon, looking for anymore she hoped to be coming, anyone else who had answered the call, before she would continued.

OoC: Haha okee doke xD Sounds good.. Akuma's odd-colored eyes fell upon Aithne, having arrived just too late to miss her name in the morning greetings. He saw that she carried only one wing and was curious, though didn't pry. He himself wasn't the type to just pounce into meeting new company, even if she was a member of his pack. Perhaps someday he might become that way, but for now...
Ears swiveled in Ea and Darklight's direction as they returned his greeting. He was caught a bit off guard by Darklight making a joke with him. A temporary nickname... if only in fun, with how she was so readily hostile with him before... even after she'd relaxed a bit. Still he accepted it. He was glad. Perhaps it showed a better future for him indeed, and it even made him feel a bit more at ease. Especially with the prospect of so many new wolves.
Speaking of which, he glanced again at the one-winged wolfess, his mind rerunning through the names Ea and Darklight had specified when they were enlightening him on the pack ranks. He wondered which of them this one could be. He didn't want to make any assumptions, but at last, after a bit of hesitation he asked, a bit awkwardly, "Might we be introduced?"

Her ear pricked as they spoke, curiosity besting her manners yet again. Undecided One, eh? Perhaps he still had yet to choose his position? No matter. She attempted to let her wing settle at her side, breathing heavily to keep her mind off of the cold.
As she watched the steam roll from her mouth, snow glistening and sky stretched into forever in the background, an age-old song that was inspired by her childhood dreams came to mind. Her sharp, honeydew eyes widened a tad. Why was she thinking of that all of a sudden...?
Then the male's voice broke her thoughts. "Hmm?" Without thinking, she turned to face Akuma head on, realizing too late who it was who had asked to be introduced. With an ear awkwardly lolling to the side, eyes averted and timid, she answered. "Oh. Ah...Aithne. Ty--Tyran Aithne, I suppose."
Shaking the shyness away for the moment, she made to carefully jump down the side of the den. Once her feet sank into the snow, it seemed like all of her fur, from head to tail, as well as the feathers on her wing stood on end for a moment before returning to normal. She walk-hopped to the three, "wuff"ing quietly--her version of a chuckle. "I commend you all for being able to stand so easily in this snow. I feel rather weak among you."

Thank Etanus and all of his divine court for no blizzards today, thought Nascha wryly as she stepped gingerly into the snow. Also, thank Etanus for thick-soled, fluffy paws.
A young white female wolf with black markings smudged about her body, perhaps of the Youroi breed judging by their trademark markings beneath the eyes, stepped delicately into the open. She harnessed a pair of wings at her shoulders that looked like they belonged to a snowy owl's judging by the correct frame and wingspan. For now they were locked tightly at her sides, the feathers fluffed, the better to maintain constant warmth. It was safe to say that her bizarre markings made her look very identical to a snowy owl. There were feathers at her head, but tied into her fur with red and blue beads that actually looked like natural head-feathers.
She diligently plodded through chest-deep snow, her expression currently mirroring a very bothered emotion. Clasped in her muzzle was the fattest and slowest mountain goat she could find, her pure white mouth tainted with drying blood.
It was so friggen cold that she paused and dropped the goat, cussing out the mountain she traversed just to obtain this scrumdiliumptious meal. Calming down, she picked up the meal and continued onward until she ascended a small hill that had less snow on it. Over the hill, she found a group of wolves by a stone den. Her heart pounded, for this was the first time a pack was officially established, and that this was the opportunity for every member to meet one another. Nascha was not shy, but she could not help but to feel nervous. She was not an official member yet, but she had seen them before, and heard the mighty howl of the Alpha.
Dropping the goat before them all, Nascha put on the biggest smile she could put on her face and said with as much enthusiasm as she can without giving away her nerves at meeting an Alpha and her pack, said, "Why hello, everyone! We meet for the first time! And you must be the alpha." She gestured politely at Ea with her muzzle. She spoke as if she were reading a prompt; obviously she practiced this short speech before arriving here.
"I'm Nascha, and I come with an offering of a big, juicy goat in the hopes of joining your family as a Toran." She merely stood there at first, feeling stupid standing there in the snow. That was until she remembered her manners. She blushed beneath her fur and dipped her head low to Ea and her potential packmates, swearing privately at herself for being so dumb.

She was glad to see the two getting along. She did feel sorry for Aithne though. The cold was no problem for her and her sister, but for one unused to it, the chill was brutal.
When Akuma spoke, she realized that she had not introduced the two to each other. She felt a little silly at her lapse in manners. Before she could speak, though, Aithne introduced herself. If the effect of the frigid climate was not obvious before, it was painfully so when she landed in the snow and spoke her introduction.
Darklight chuckled softly. The two before her seemed to be having a bit of an awkward social moment. But such was to be expected. These were two had, more than likely, never met, and were now thrust together into a familial group. How would they cope? She wondered briefly. They seemed fine with the other, thankfully. If there had been hostility between such a new group...well, let just not even think of that.
The scent of a new presence and smell of blood interrupted her musings. A white and black-marked she-wolf ascended the hill that lay just a few yard from the mouth of the den
Ea had noticed the new wolf a few moments before her sister had. Her strong sense had picked up on the cursing of someone obviously annoyed by the wintery atmosphere, as well as the smell of goats blood. Her ears and eyes zeroed in on the spot where a white and black winged she-wolf stepped over the top of the hill.
In her mouth she held a very fat goat, probably the slowest one of its herd. She set it down and smiled wide. She called out to them, but her words were stiff with nerves. 'I'm Nascha, and I come with an offering of a big, juicy goat in the hopes of joining your family as a Toran.'
A huge grin spread across Ea's own face. However, she spoke not a word. Instead, she glanced at the three around her, then stepped forward. She walked past her pack mates, toward the obviously nervous Nascha, her smile now warm and inviting.
The winged Nascha had brought an offering for admittance onto the pack. A bit unorthodox, at least compared to how they had started out, but who was she to say other wise. The scent of the felled goat wafted through the soft, freezing breeze, and it made her mouth water a bit. She had mentioned her wanting to be a Toran, so she would be under the care and authority of her and Aithne. She glanced at the one-winged female, wondering if she had a similar thought.
This Nascha seemed respectful enough. Her speech lacked the smoothness of one who should be Toran, but that was easily explained by the obvious tension she was feeling. Joining a strange pack, at the will of an unknown Alpha probably wasn't the most pleasant experience.
After Nascha finished what she had to say, and following with an awkward bow, Darklight looked to her sister. As Tyran, it was not her place to accept new wolves, though she expected her sister would not easily turn away anyone.
As she expected, Ea gave a look to all around her, as though she were letting them know her intentions, and began walking toward Nascha...soon to be Toran Nascha. What an interesting day...
Ea made her way over to the new female, stopping only a few feet in front of her. With warmth and the maternal sureness that fitted her nature, she spoke: "It would be a pleasure to have you as a Toran, Nascha."

Akuma nodded as Aithne introduced herself, glad that she had. "Pleasure to meet you, Tyran Aithne." He paused, as if hesitating, before saying, "I am Akuma... the em, Undecided One." He grinned briefly as he glanced at Darklight, before returning his focus to Aithne. "Because, I haven't decided what position I want to hold." He looked a bit bashful about it, saying it to someone else, but then he knew eventually that wouldn't apply to him any longer.
He gave a sheepish grin as Aithne mentioned the cold, and he also couldn't help but feel a bit sorry for her. Not that he wasn't cold. Perhaps it was just his masses of self and fur that made it not so unbearable to him. Still...
Just as he had explained his lack of position, it seemed another wolf was approaching and he turned his attention upon her, carrying a fat goat, and the words she began to speak. He didn't fail to notice her resemblance to an owl, and he was curious, though didn't say so. Perhaps the others might not notice her distinctive markings, but having met other Yourois in his time, he recognized at least that. Well she certainly intrigued him with her boldness. For one, the way she spoke, but for another her blatant knowledge of exactly what she wanted to be. He felt a twang of jealousy, though knew well enough why he had chosen to lay back on his decision.
Bah, kudos to her. He couldn't help but think she would be a good addition to the pack. Surely, Serra Ea was thinking the same, and he noticed when she made that look. Akuma became a bit more excited as Serra Ea then welcomed Nascha and her desire. He suddenly felt eager to meet the other members, which surprised him since it was so different from how he had been for so long. He dipped his head toward this new member, not sure whether he should speak yet or not. So, rather than wish he hadn't, he simply waited, thinking the Tyrans might want to say something first.

Aithne kept her eyes on the snow that covered her forepaws as Akuma spoke, smiling at his introduction. "Ah, I see. Well, welcome to the group, Sir Akuma. And, euh...call me Aithne." Under her breath, she muttered how she wasn't used to having a title just yet.
Her nose had scented the dead animal a while ago, but she made no move to investigate. Instead, she waited for Ea to make the first move. Before long, an owl-wolf came into view, wielding the said-carcass. Aithne's honeydew eyes opened wide in silent awe at this new wolf. Such a unique look to her! And her wings were quite impressive. She'd never seen such a remarkable wolf in all her days...
Aithne subconsciously pressed her own wing closer to her body.
With a smile, she waited for Ea's judgement. And, as she expected, Ea allowed this Nascha to join the troupe as a Toran. Her tail twitched lightly, as if it were trying to wag. "A pleasure to have you, Nascha."
