Sanka stepped into the cave. Although there was no light shining in he saw perfectly. Every rock, every crack,he even saw little cave dwelling bugs running around. What he didn't see was Meridian. He didn't see him in the snow nor did he see him enter the cave. Actually, he couldn't really see him now. Although Sanka's eyes are great for seeing in the dark, Meridians mirror-like armour plating concealed not only his true shape, but in the darkness, even his outline was barely visible. Sanka probably wouldn't even be able to tell his head from his butt if his green eyes weren't piercing through the darkness.
Sanka felt at home here. The dark concealed him, and the cold soothed him not that it wasn't buffeting him. Wryn was smart to rest, because, to him, this was the perfect place to do so. But there would be no rest now, not with Meridian here. There was so much to do, so much blood to be shed. Not because they're enemies. Meridian may actually be the closest thing to a friend Sanka has. But instead, for the pure joy. It had been a few moons since Sanka felt the thrill of battle, and nothing was more thrilling than fighting one of these metal giants.
"So my friend, your back...How was it?" he said grinning in the darkness.

The monster shifted, placing himself directly over Wryn's body and putting himself nose to nose with the gray wolf. Standing silently he stared into the other's eyes, as if staring into his very soul and daring him to move. This male was no threat to him, but he was possibly a threat to Wryn, and that was what bothered him. Meridian opened his jaws in a smile and stepped daintily over the female's unconscious form. "Sanka, friend. How very nice to see you again!" His whip like tail twitched as he spoke. "The land below the sub-terrain was.. hellish, heheheh. I have been changed by it." Glancing back at the gray male, his tail thumped the ground hard. "Sanka, who is this? Is he a friend? Or must I rip him to ribbons? It would not take much, you know..."
For a brief moment, the savage took over him. "I could always rip my little Wryn here to shreds for sport. You know, crush her hips in my jaws and listen to her squeals of terror and pain..." He dipped his head and nuzzled her. "Wake up, Wryn. I'm here now!" He stared hard at the stone floor. "Gone so long. Nearly forgot how to be kind. Those devils suck the niceness out of you. Force you to become one like them just to survive. If you want to really live? You get downright nasty. Unpredictable like the magma-stuff. That's what I became. Though, maybe, that's what I already was?" The demon laughed and duh his cat like claws into the stone. "Such a very strange situation we have here, no?"

A snarl came from Gann's muzzle as the brute stepped froward, placing their noses mere inches apart. Arrogant ass.... The gray male insulted silently, his eyes narrowing in anger. "So my friend, your back...How was it?" Sanka said in a friendly voice. Gann's eyes widened at this new bit of information. They're friends?! The large beast's reply was lost to the young male as he stared shocked at Sanka. He had sensed some tenseness between him and the female before, but now wondered if he wanted her dead. It was the creature's movement which snapped him back to reality. The thump of the creature's tail hitting the stone reverberated in Gann's head, making his skull ache slightly. "Sanka, who is this? Is he a friend? Or must I rip him to ribbons? It would not take much, you know..." He asked, addressing Sanka with the question rather than the wolf whom he was talking about. Gann snorted, feeling more than a little insulted and irritated, however, he remained silent and settled with glaring at the two males.
Suddenly, the giant brute acquired a savage wickedness to his person, threatening who Gann learned to be Wryn with death and agonizing pain. But directly after, it was gone and he bent his neck down to nuzzle the sleeping female. As his gaze turned to study the floor, apparently finding it very interesting, the beast spoke of his travels; the brutality of devils and the way they seemed to have rubbed off on him. Gann made a 'humph' noise, rolling his eyes slightly and glaring at the cave wall as if it had done something wrong. Well maybe you should have stayed there then huh... The gray male grumped in his head, angry with himself for being so obviously weaker than this new male. Still, he wouldn't bend until he was sure of Wryn's safety.

Sanka smirked at his friends reply. He was happy, happy that the green-eyed beast made it back, and happy that, for the most part, his mind was intact. Meridian, so far, was the only dakkan who kept their full sanity after becoming a dakkan. Although at first his mind was broken, he somehow found a way to put the pieces back together.
"I'm glad you enjoyed your stay." he said smiling. "As for him...well, honestly, I'd rather him dead. But, he saved her life." he said glancing at the lump of fur that lay on the ground.
A blast of chilly air made its way into the cave. Sanka moved forward, tired of shivering. He found a spot farther back in the cave, it was warmer but more humid. He accepted the trade-off and plopped down. He looked at the green-eyed beast. Something that huge had slipped past Sanka, it was shameful.
"That armour sure is something." he said. "Mind if i use it?" he said.
He thought he said it as a joke, but it was more like an invitation to fight. A dakkan could not be stripped of its armour, not while it was alive at least. He didn't take his words back though. He still longed for the thrill of a fight, and unless that new wolf, Gaan, did something stupid Sanka would'nt be able to end him. Not without Wryn getting mad. He paused in mid-thought. He was holding himself back, so that Wryn wouldn't be mad? What the hell is that?? Since when does Wryn's emotion have anything to do with him? Why should he care? Then he stopped again. Either way, Sanka couldn't kill a wolf as kind as this. Mother Nature would never forgive him.
"Dammit all." he mumbled under his breath.

Wryn had long since awakened, though things weren’t coming back to her correctly. Her eyes were glassy under their lids. She held a dazed, confused look. She figured she was still dreaming. She could hear muffled voices growing clearer and clearer. Was it a dream anymore? She felt something thumping on the ground near her. Surely not. She couldn’t make her eyes open. What if she was dead? What if they were burying her? But she was breathing! Maybe they thought she was dead. That wouldn’t be good. Not one bit. Her eyes slowly slid open while the three males conversed. Her ear twitched.
I could always rip my little Wryn here to shreds for sport. You know, crush her hips in my jaws and listen to her squeals of terror and pain…
Her eyes rolled to the left, looking up at the large armoured beast next to her. She had begun to shake, not because of the cold, but because of fear. Meridian was back. She could see him. She knew it wasn’t a dream; Gann and Sanka were there, in the cave. She closed her eyes tightly as Meridian leaned down to nuzzle her, saying that he was back, and it was time to wake up. She tried her best to act asleep still. When he touched her, she burned with excitement. She wanted to leap up and return the gesture, to ask where he had been, so many things to tell him.
Instead, she slowly began to sit up. Her legs wobbled. Being cold and not having food for too long wasn’t pleasant. She looked about, resting her pounding head on the cold cave wall. She would wait until adressed to respond to anything.

Meridian rose to look his friend in the eye. "You really want to become one that bad, don't you?" He grunted and slapped his tail against the ground in frustration. "Sanka, friend. I will do everything in my power to prevent you from doing such a thing. It is not wise..." He knew that the black wolf wanted a fight, but he had much more important things to worry about.
Rising to his feet, the steel clad behemoth stepped closer to the gray wolf and dipped his head in a formal greeting. "I'm sorry if I came off as mean... My name is Meridian. Who might you be?" Taking a few steps back he sat down again, his claws near Wryn's own paws. "I know that you guided them out of the storm. I thank you for saving them.. These two mean a lot to me." He stole a worried glance at Wryn who still did not move. "Tell me, where did you find her?"
Worry filled Meridian's mind with what if's. What if she died there? What if she didn't die and just never woke up? Those thoughts made him nervous, the emotion somewhat visible by the rhythmic flicking of his heavy tail on stone. "Wryn, dear... Please wake up," he whispered as he bent down to nuzzle her again.
As if on command, the female stirred and slowly rose. She seemed to be in a bit of discomfort, and he was instantly at her side, nuzzling her neck and whining nervously. "Wryn? Are you okay? What's wrong?!" He looked at Sanka and the gray wolf, desperate for answers and explanations.

There was a friendly rivalry that seemed to go on between the mountainous creature and the lesser wolf. The the latter surprisingly seemed more intent upon a fight than the larger and previously more devilish creature. However, then the wolf-like being was addressing Gann. Rather than shuffling away as instinct commanded he do, the gray male stood his ground and looked the other directly in his eye. "I'm sorry if I came off as mean..." Gann snorted quietly, actively thinking about NOT rolling his eyes. "My name is Meridian. Who might you be?" The metallic creature continued. His words seemed genuine enough, though Gann was still distrustful of him, so he would receive an answer. "Gann, I'm Gann." The young gray replied, his voice sharper than normal despite his attempts to remain neutral toward this male. The male that then continued to thank him for rescuing the female he had threatened to kill merely seconds before. This time when the gray scoffed, it was audible. "I found her about a quarter mile north east of here, give or take." He began before straightening to his full height, shoulders and tail stiff with irritation as an angry scowl worked itself upon his visage. "But where were you? You who threaten her life one moment and the next are saying how important she is to you. Which is it, huh? Because I swear, I will not stand by idly and allow you to harm her in any way." Gann's voice ended in a low growl, anger coursing through his veins and clouding his judgment. A fight with this Meridian would surely mean his death, but if it meant the femme would live another day then that was a sacrifice he would gladly make. For her, or anyone.
Before the armored beast could say anything in return, however, the still figure laying between them began to stir. Gann instinctively began to move toward her side, halting and drawing away when Meridian arrived there first. "Wryn? Are you okay? What's wrong?!" The giant male asked her urgently as if she was in any state to answer. His eyes searched the gray wolf and Sanka as well, obviously welcoming any feedback from the both of them. Gann huffed and narrowed his silvery-amber eyes. "She just passed out in the middle of a snow storm. She's probably dehydrated and half starved, not to mention suffering from hypothermia. Then - as if that wasn't bad enough - when she finally gets to a sheltered space where she can rest for a while, YOU come along with death threats!!!" The gray finished, panting slightly and his bright eyes wide. Light flooded the cave from the orb Gann had created earlier, once a dim glimmer now a raging spotlight. Yet, ever the pacifist, the sphere of light soon dimmed back to its original volume and the gray returned to his 'holding-back' state. "Please forgive my outburst..." He said somewhat grudgingly while dipping his head and glaring daggers at the ground.
((OOC: Erg... Gann's naturally over-protective... Sorryz!! >.< ))

Sanka sat back and listened as Meridian apologized and introduced himself. Gaan responded as well, tension still rung in his voice. Sanka was less interested about all this. He just wanted to spar and have his questions answered. Everything else was useless to him. Meridian worried over the Wryn, the heap of fur and flesh was still unmoving and that wasn't too great of a sign. She shouldn't woken by now, but she still lay motionless on the floor. Sanka tuned back into the conversation when her heard anger in Gann's voice "...are saying how important she is to you. Which is it, huh? Because I swear, I will not stand by idly and allow you to harm her in any way." he stated, ending in a low vicious sounding growl. If he had been trying to intimidate a smaller less battle proven wolf his threats may have actually induced fear. But certainly Meridian wouldn't even flinch at empty threats from some proud beast.
Gaan began to explain the conditions under which she'd been found. More useless information. Sanka tuned them out and began to ponder all the possible ways he could leave. There was only one way out of the cave, and that led to unforgiving winds and sub zero temperatures. Definitely not something Sanka was built for. he cursed under his breath. He hated showing weakness. He hated having to be here, sheltered like a pup. While these two males decided who would be her rescuer. Well really it was just the one, Gaan. Meridian had yet to respond to Gaan's threats or outbursts. She stirred. Both wolves stepped forward, ready to aid her if need be. But Meridian made it to her first, causing Gaan to step back, probably out of resentment. More explaining of her condition, followed by another outburst from Gaan. Sanka couldn't be sure if he was just talking big or he could not control himself but which ever it was, if he was rude to Meridian again, Sanka himself would step in. Meridian may have been busy focusing on Wryn but Sanka had nothing better to do that defend his friends honor.

Wryn shuddered with the movement. Her breathing was ragged but regulating. Her headache was slowly beginning to ease away as she came back into consciousness. She opened her glistening green eyes, and jumped. She looked to Meridian, her eyes wide. She moved away for a moment, blinking, as if it would clue her in to the fact that this was not a dream. She suddenly leapt up, nuzzling the silver beast, her head under his own, a broad smile on her face. Her heart fluttered and she couldn’t stop the tears that welled in her closed eyes. Her ears had folded as she leaned into him. She had waited so long, and had come to accept that he was gone. Part of her knew it wasn’t true, though. And that part wiggled with triumph at this point. He was here. He was real.
“You’re back… Oh, how I missed you..” She muttered, whimpering slightly into him. The familiar scent of metal filled her nostrils. One she had come to love and hate in the past few years. She felt like an idiot, but she was too happy to care at that point. She had him back. He wasn’t hurt.
And everything was good. [[OoC: It’s fine Ulrica. :3. Oh, and, sorry for the gimpy post. Dx]]

[[ooc: sorry for the delay guys. Network issues and some other fun life stuff needed sorting... also short post is short -_- ]]
The menacing looking beast suddenly turned into a steel clad pup when Wryn threw herself at him. He whined and whimpered, his heavy tail beating against the ground and swaying dangerously as he greeted her. "Wryn!!!" Meridian wiggled about like an excited dog and dug his muzzle into her fur. "Wryn!! I've missed you soooo much!! You'll never believe what happened!!!! I- I-" An exited whine escaped from his steel maw as he sat back on his haunches and pulled her close into a cuddle. After a few moments he let go and backed away. "So... why are you out here?" Meridian took a few more steps back until he was against a wall before settling down on the stone floor.

Gann blinked at Meridian's loving embrace of Wryn. His metallic clad figure shrunk in an instant and the giant became little more than a dog in the gray male's mind. Little more than a wriggling puppy whose master had tossed him a scrap of meat. Gann snorted at the display and slunk a few feet away. But he wasn't angry at the newly awoken femme, he wasn't even angry with the giant male. No, he was angry with himself. Angry that he hadn't seen the obvious love Meridian felt for Wryn and angry in jealousy that he couldn't receive such pure love. For a moment, his thoughts crossed to the familiar smile of Ea. The friendship that had grown between them and then the pain of their goodbye... The gray's heart gave a throb and he winced when he realized it had hurt. Get over it boy.... Keep your head on the present...
"So... why are you out here?" Meridian was asking Wryn. He seemed to have forgotten there were others around them, but Gann was still unwilling to ruin their moment together. Holding back the exasperated sigh in his throat, the male flopped onto the ground and laid his head on his paws to listen for Wryn's reply.((OOC: Sorry it's taken me so long to reply >.< I've been swamped with studying for final exams and then with a bunch of thanksgiving dinners ugh haha But I'm back now and I can post regularly again ))

And it begins. Sanka thought, referring to the connection the two had ever since Solace abandoned Wryn. Or Wryn abandoned Solace. Whichever it was these two had become close ever since that moment. Sanka began to think back to what he had done with himself since then. Nothing, you've done nothing you fool. he thought to himself, disgusted with the time he'd wasted. He'd been spending the months after the incident to look for Meridian, Solace, and now Wryn. And in all that time he'd found them all, then lost them again, being left with more questions than before.
Although he had many things to ask the duo, he would wait. Apparently they needed time to embrace each other and catch up, besides, he didn't plan on losing Meridian again, so he would have a lifetime to get answers to his many questions.
Sanka turned his head towards Gaan who had taken his own place a few feet from the duo. I wonder why he's still here... he wondered.
That;s when he remembered the storm outside. As he peered into the sea of white he realized that the massive winds had calmed down but snow still fell steadily.

She was lost. Lost for a small eternity. In a good way, she was lost beyond all comprehension. Lost in his embrace, that is until he spoke. She couldn’t help the dorky smile on her maw as she listened to him ask why she was out there. She didn’t really know herself. She had just… Been there, unable to think properly, grief-stricken, and willing to die.
“I was… Wandering. Looking for you, I guess.. I would have been dead if it weren’t for Gann.” She murmured, putting it bluntly. She owed him her life, and glanced to him with a smile. She turned her head to Sanka, who was looking out at the storm. Wryn, too, glanced out at the blankets of white, and the calming storm.
She wouldn’t tell him of the suicidal thoughts that had crossed her mind, her total lack of a self-preserving sense. No, he didn’t need to know that, and she was just glad to have him back.
