(ooc: it isn't making a storm, it's freezing the rain that is found in any cloud. and yes, she is harming herself. she's going in bloody hypothermia / frostbite for christ's sake. and she basically just lost the use of her wings... I figured it would be alright to let her cast the thing. But if you want me to change it I can. I thought it was okay. Yura doesn't seem to take any damage from her fire/acid, spitting/sneezing/exploding... and her mouth seems to me like it also has fire in it. so I was trying to play to Mu's strength. direct fight = Mu lose, Yura snaps neck, dead.)

((Okay, Jesus, sorry, I was just making sure.)) The air around her became thicker, almost more difficult to breathe. As her energy drained from attempting to keep up with her enemy, she slowed her pace, letting her wings rest as she glided along, keeping the girl in sight as long as she could.
The cloud cover seemed to grow thicker, and Yura knew she had fallen into some sort of trap. Unfortunately, she wasn't sure of what was to come. Then, the familiar hiss of Mut-iarna infiltrating her mind stopped. Yura slowed her chase. No more back-sass from the mutt? Interesting...and foreboding.
Before she knew it, her wings and body had become outlined in frost, numb and rendered nearly useless. As her stiff body began tumbling to the ground, she felt the pain of a small something-or-other whizzing right past her muzzle, taking a good chunk of fur with it. With a growl, she began to struggle against her frozen body.
No response.
Her only hope was to use her burst. Although she would regret it later, she weighed her options: burn or die. She would rather burn for a short period of time. She concentrated as best as she could, heart racing as she could feel the ground becoming closer with every passing breath, and finally was able to produce the smallest of bursts, warming her wings just enough to allow temporary movement.
She righted herself as best as she could and caught the wind under her wings, suffering blows from some of the falling needles that rained from above. She dove for cover underneath a nearby cypress tree, slamming her body into it head-first. With a groan, she lay watching the larger needles--as she couldn't quite see the smaller ones too well--crash to the ground.
With a jerk, she lifted her head and made to retch, watching nothing but black smoke billow from her mouth. The substance had been becoming more active, becoming easier and easier to ignite with each fire-related attack she'd performed. She could feel whatever had coated her throat and nose passages starting to sting, her stomach turning over on itself, furling and unfurling in pain.
She continued to retch the smoke, listening to the sounds of the hissing needles as they continued to pierce the sky. [/size]

They say that when you have hypothermia, right at the end, you start to feel warm, as though the cold no longer affects you.
"Crap... shouldn't hav-" she was cut off, coughing, and she realized that should had forgot about the posion- or whatever it was- that had burned on her wound eariler. Was it one of the side effects? or was it simply because she was freezing that she was having a hard time breathing?
She didn't bother to look to see what happened to the fae or where she was, as she cumisily jumped down from the tree, landing harder than she expected. She was too used to using her wings to help her land these days.
Mu remembered the one other time she had first cast that spell. it was several years ago, when she was still a pup. Her mother was showing her how to control her magic, using one of her powerful spells. "Now Mu," she chimed, "This is a very dangerous spell, do not use it unless you absolutely have to. Promise your mother that?"
Being a little pup, she replied " Yes mama...[i/]" But an idea grew in her head: she had only told her to not cast it, but she didn't say to not help her.
And so, while her mother had asended to the clouds, she had followed, her small feathers just coming in, going very slowly. She had heard the words, she could help. and so she did. While her mother casted, so did she, and then she only remembered feeling cold, and falling to the ground.
Much like now. Only then, she had her mother, with her warm tounge to comfort her and keep her warm. She didn't have her now.
She walked, unable to feel the earth or her paws or wings, unable to even shiver. She was going to try and hide, for a while, until her wings warmed back up, if they ever did. Then she had two options: run, or fly.
Mu stopped, collapsing under a small bush, not far from where she had been spying that time eariler. "And I still haven't tended those wounds either...[i/]" she said, noting they were still bleeding slightly.

((Uh. Not really sure how to continue this, since it seems as though they're on completely different sides of the area at the moment.))
