Torik had briefly rubbed his face against the snow, making Aiu cock her head slightly to the side. What was he doing? Ea asked him his name and Torik answered politely, assuring the wolfess that this wasn't some sort of invasion, recieving the alphess's name in return. See what you get when you behave...? Aiu thought with something like triumphant smugness, a smirk forming in the corners of her mouth.
Torik ventured a bit closer, and again the winged fae fought back the urge to move to his side. He was obviously cold, she would only lower his temperature further what with her makeshift cast and all... At least that's what she told herself. "Isn't it cold?" He asked in reference to said cast. The fae looked at him curiously. "Of course it's cold, it's ice..." She replied before she could realize what he had meant. "Oh sorry, I forget sometimes... I don't feel cold the way you do. I feel it as a presence, but not as something that affects my body." She explained, hoping he understood. Some cuts over his face were visible in his nearness and a twinge of pain struck the she-wolf's heart at his pain. Why was he affecting her like this? She shouldn't care, she didn't care! But she did...
He's freezing out here... Aiu thought sympathetically, noticing how he hugged his wings about his body. Would you like to come back with us to the den? The words were right there on the tip of her tongue, all she had to do would be to open her mouth and they would rush forward like water over the falls. But no, it wasn't her place. She didn't have the right to bring strangers back to the den. But he isn't a stranger. The voice argued from the back of her head.
Yes... Yes he is...[/color]

He offered his name, but did not acknowledge her when she offered hers. She lifted a brow and watched as he made his way over to Aiu and began to speak to her. She had casted her wing-a wise decision-and he inquired about it.
Ea watched and learned much. The new affection between the two was becoming more and more apparent. Aiu was not normally one to explain things carefully, at least she didn't seem that way when she had first met her when Gann was there. Ea could see in Aiu's face as well as the way Torik carried himself that he was freezing out here.
She could understand that Aiu would be wanting to bring Torik someplace warm like the den, but she did not want him in the pack's den. Not yet. She knew far to little of this character to do such a thing.
However...
Her sister was skilled with fire, perhaps if she called her she could make a fire for and there could be more talks. She felt that these two wanted each other, but she was unsure. Before she made any decisions to call Darklight, she would continue to observe.

"You're quite lucky," Torik chuckled. "Alas, I have no magic, none that I know of, anyway."
He had once heard of wolves who dug themselves under the snow to warm themselves up, although he doubted it at the time. Now, he could see that perhaps there was something to it, and perhaps that was what Aiu's magic was like. He started to dig himself a hole under the snow, piling it on top with his wings, making sure he could escape if necessary. His head stuck out a bit awkwardly, but he had to admit it was better than freezing out in the snowy wind.
"Hey, this is actually quite warm," he called, amazed. The snow was working quite well, his body heat keeping him snug.
However, he soon returned to his normal state. He glanced nervously at the alpha. Now he could think properly, it hadn't been the best idea to rush over strait to Aiu. He eyed her respectfully, trying to keep calm.
"Um, hello alphess Ea, glad to met you too," he said, glancing at Aiu at the end. It was lucky that she was a healer.

Lucky, he called her, quite lucky. Aiu shrugged, shifting uncomfortably from side to side. "If you say so..." She said, her voice drifting off into silence. Ea must have noticed the affection she harbored for this male, must have noticed the pull between them. The winged fae suddenly felt the urge to run, to fly away and cower in the shadows of some hole until these feelings could pass. Until she could convince herself that this was simply some trick of the mind. I'm sick, that must be it. I hit my head or something when I tripped and this is all just a dream... But no dream could be so vividly created, at least not without shattering into horror... Aiu's jade eyes found Torik's form as he dug himself into the ground. Would this end as nightmare? His body mangled and broken, his precious life-blood strewn over snow.... The fae fought a whimper from her throat. No, that couldn't happen. She wouldn't let it!
Oh stop. No one is getting attacked, you're being foolish. The voice of her subconscious sneered with contempt and obvious disdain. Aiu quickly pulled herself together, directly when Torik addressed her alphess. "Um, hello alphess Ea, glad to met you too." His eyes held respect for which the slender Toran was thankful for. Those same eyes then turned to her, making the she-wolf's cheeks grow hot for some reason. Even though her fur hid this odd reaction, the femme frowned and looked away, refusing to feel anything for this male even though she knew it to be futile.

Ea nodded. Better, but still, he was course. She wondered if this male had ever really belonged to a pack. Or perhaps the pack he came form had different social structuring. It was definitely possible.
The way these two looked at each other...It was strange, yet unmistakably familiar. A deep seeded warmth and longing. Love? Yes these two were falling for each other. Ea's face lit with a warm smile that seemed to brighten the very air around her.
Ea herself was a romantic, so love was one of her weak points. She saw these two and their potential, and hoped for the best. For now she would lower herself into the snow and lay with her paws crossed in front of her, waiting to see what the two would say.
((OoC: It's ok, mine isn't doing so well either lol))
