Damn, he's quick! he thought taking a step backwards. The Ohm flared his wings. Sanka stopped and wondered whether they could actually propel him into the air.
Sanka took an aggressive stance as well. His legs were far apart and tensed ready to spring. He sunk low to the ground as if he was hunting the Ohm. A dark ist gathered around him as he released more of his shadow energy giving him a slight boost in strength and speed. His tail slowly moved back and forth until he sprung, mouth open, at the ohms right wing. If he could get a grip her it would allow him to work at a closer distance giving the Ohm less time to react to his attacks.

Takoda received no worded answer. All he got from the smaller wolf was a frustrated look and a darkening environment. A choking black mist had suddenly shrouded Sanka, causing the Ohm to lose track of him for a mere moment.
Until he sprung. Sanka had launched himself at the great beast's right wing. He felt fangs bury themselves through feathers, breaking blood vessels in their bases and even shredding some plumage. A snarl echoed in the tower, Takoda's features becoming very dark and looming. Almost as fast as it had happened, the male had turned slightly to the right, recoiling. He looked briefly at the wolf hanging on his wing, and suddenly turned to the left rather swiftly.
He hoped to shake the wolf off, perhaps slamming him into the stone wall of the tower. If Sanka released, hitting the wall or not, Takoda would lunge for him. If he didn't release, the Ohm would race to the far side of the stairs and stretch his gargantuan wing out over the drop to the floor below. They were a good four stories up the staircase, and that drop to the ground would almost certainly exterminate Sanka.

As warm blood poured into his mouth Sanka grinned. He had closed the distance, but he had no plan. The Ohm however was ready with a counter attack. He flung Sanka towards the unforgiving stone wall. Sanka let go as quickly as he could as to avoid gaining to much momentum. He twisted himself in the air hoping to get his feet under him before he hit the wall. There wasn't enough time, just as he managed to angle himself in a favorible direction he hit the wall.
He coughed up blood while trying to stand. His legs weren't broken, although he was sure his ribs were. He tried to take a breath in but was stopped by a sharp pain in his side. That confirmed his theory, they were broken.
Ok you win!" Sanka called trying to stop the beast. "Just a friendly duel, I meant you no harm." he said between shallow breaths.
A large grin grew across his face as he spat up more blood.

A smug sort of victory could have been seen glistening under the anger in his amber eyes when Sanka hit the wall. He arched a cream-coloured eyebrow as Sanka spat up blood. How hard had he thrown him again? He relaxed somewhat when the wolf told him that he had won, though he had guessed it anyway, and claimed it a friendly duel.
"Might want to scurry on off to a medwolf, whelp." He snorted with a voice riddled with sarcasm. His glare was piercing; if looks could kill, Sanka would be dead. Takoda had trouble with people who attacked for no reason, and Sanka was lucky he had stopped when he did, but his wing throbbed. The bite wound had begun to swell and he would need to get rid of the broken feathers before it would heal.
But frankly, Takoda didn't want to turn his back on this creature.

"Don't you worry about me ohm. A little blood never killed an Umbra" He said with a large grin on his face. "Your a skilled warrior, very quick for your size. A very strong opponent. I thank you for that sparring session, it's part of my culture to welcome new friends with a duel. Is your wing okay?"
Sanka wasn't one to make a fuss abut battle wounds. He believed the body would do whatever it needed to survive on its own and that method had worked so far.
As he looked over the Ohm he saw that his wing had little damage to it other than a few ruffled feathers and a puncture wound. He wasn't tired nor fatigued. Sankas attack proved to be little more than a warm-up to the Ohm.
Sanka continued up the steps, the rain outside hadn't let up. If anything it had just gotten worse. Strong winds blew waves of cold air and water into the passage. The stairwell was frequently illuminated with lighting strikes that were followed by deafening claps of thunder. Sanka trudged along unaware if the Ohm was behind him.

He watched the wolf survey him with a cheery demeanor. He glared on, listening as the wolf spoke of himself with pride, and then complimented Takoda, and even asked about his condition. He snorted in response and folded his wings abruptly, the throbbing in his wing increasing for a split second before he dismissed it.
Sanka stared at his wing for a few more moments before he turned and began to ascend the staircase, as if he had taken the Ohm's place. Takoda was almost embarrassed at his own actions, but he was still wary of the wolf who , only moments ago, hung by his jaws from Koda's wing.
The great beast's nostrils flared and he took in the drifting scent of the wolf. He slowly began to follow Sanka up the stairs. He hadn't noticed it before, but Koda was certain now. He smelled of soot.
"Where was it you were from?" He asked, unsure of whether he had already asked him or not. He knew the answer had to be the Akatsuki territory, but he asked anyway.

"Me? Well I associate with the wolves here in this territory. The Akatsuki they're called. I'm a part of Squad 4." he said as he continued walking upwards.
Completely baffled by the height of this age old structure Sanka stopped walking and sat. He remembered that the whole point of coming into this place was to find shelter. Well he had it right now, there was no reason to trek farther up the staircase.
"Look, the fight before was just a little sparring. I meant no harm. I'm sorry if i hurt your wing, but i'd say you got in a decent blow as well." he said smiling.
He began wondering about the Ohms again seeking more information about the unkown.
"So you Ohm's, I imagine there are very few of you. Do you travel together?" he asked looking down the staircase.
