((woot woot page 2 n.n)) "I'd say no." He stated simply, though the edge to his voice suggested at being a little on edge to the idea. "You know nothing of the desires of my soul. What i want i cannot have. I've accepted that. And what i have....is plentiful enough." He turned his gaze away from her then, his hand touching on the hilt of his sword. Not out of anger or plan of attack, but rather a whisper of a memory that touched him perhaps. Oh the secrets behind that statement were plentiful; a bountiful source of things he desired but had come to terms with never acquiring or having them.
Or so he said. Still...want them or not, his resolve to not give into the temptation of what she might possibly be offering was rather solid. He was nothing if not a man bound by his own ideals of honor and strength.
"And now that i've flatout declined....i wonder will you try anyways Edreiah?" He returned those eyes to her, their color flat and as cold as the steel of his blade. "I wonder if you could...or would you struggle with the task of drawing out that which i refuse. Why do you seek my desires? What's in it for you?"
There was always a profit to be had. No one really worked for the well being of others just to do it. No one really worked for the well being of themselves either unless they gained from it. He wanted to scoff, put off slightly by the fact that he had been drawn out here in such a way. He still planned to leave the village...but it left a bad taste in his mouth with the way he still lingered near Edreiah. What did that say about him? To still stick around after saying no to her offer. Perhaps, deep down he was more human than he wanted to admit. A man that still desired that what he desired, no matter what his brain told him on how foolish such ideas were.

A smile graced her lips, and afterward a light chuckle, yes, remaining the same and not moving to reveal any sort of demon nature. She thought that must be what he was imagining. Oh, but he had no idea what she could or could not see about his soul. Yes, she knew there were secrets he held. She wasn't a past or a mind-reader. But she was good at her magics in her own right.
"Indeed, Aoshi, you would love to know, wouldn't you?"
She moved forward with ease, attempting to put her hands on his shoulders, if he allowed, and afterward to whisper in his ear, trying to make it so that her lips were so close he might swear they brushed his skin.
"Would you kill me, Aoshi? Slice my body so that my blood stains your hands?" she paused for a few moments, letting silence be, unless he broke it with other words. And finally she would attempt to turn him so that he might face her once again, tilting in a seductive manner. "Very well, Aoshi. I will not force anything upon you. If you truly wish to know what's in it for me... any of my secrets, you must stay."
She would then move past him slightly, attempting to brush her body if every so slightly against his. "At the least, stay with me the night," she murmured, her white eyes seeking to meet his.

He stood unmoved, leaving her unchallenged as her body molded to his own in ways that would leave most other men sweating. His face remained stoic despite the murmured brush of her words so tantalizing against his ear. She might be able to elicit weakness from others with tactics like this, but his walls had already been thrown up.
"Is that what you seek? Your death?" He murmured back as she turned his face toward her own. So close, his lips and nose mere inches away from her own, enough to feel the heated breath of his mouth while he breathed.
And yet, the distance between them was miles. There was no passion in his eyes, perhaps a mild curiosity still but he was not moved by they way her body played it's game. Seducing him would not be anything easy...if that was indeed her plan.
She removed herself by means of more "subtle" brushing and he stood there unmoved for a moment longer.
"Curiosity binds me to you for now." He needed to know of her threat...found himself with actual desire to know what it was she was about. How dangerous she was. Yes, maybe that was what it was for him as well. Perhaps -he- was looking for his own death? At the very least, something more exciting than the village he had suffered through, thinking himself to be able to be a normal nobody.
"Fine...you have me tonight." He turned, following after her, not sure if he should be bitter or show his curiosity. "I will not lay with you however." Boundaries. They had to be put up right now. Maybe...in the distant future...she might find some way to lure him into some web of that nature. For now, he kept his guard up.

She saw he was a tough egg to crack. Well, alright then. She wouldn't press her luck. Rather than expressing frustration, she calmly stepped back and shook her head deftly. "No, Aoshi... it is not death which I desire." Her words were honest and soft. She looked away briefly, then once more at him and smiled again. He certainly was a challenge, and much more so than any she had encountered in her long past. It drove her even further to curiosity. She just had to know more about him. If he even allowed it. She was finding herself less and less wanting to toy with his soul but rather to merely discover him.
Time would tell the outcome.
She was satisfied when he said he would stay with her... at least through the night. But no laying with her. She giggled to herself when he said such. "Perhaps I was a fool to even suggest that," from what she had learned about him so far anyway.
"Come, will you? I grow tired... perhaps at least setting up camp will do some good."
After saying such, she would begin moving through the trees once more, finally coming to a small clearing where the sky above was visible above the circle of trees and the tall grass swayed softly. She focused on one area, her eyes coming aglow as well as the mirror about her neck. Soon, a blanket of light would form, stretching wider until it was a significant size and finally the light would die from her figure, though the blanket of light remained, a solid mass and she would move to sit upon it. The texture would be like silk and it pushed the grasses down beneath it. She would then gesture to Aoshi to sit also on the blanket. Such abilities were small and easy, and she knew as long as she performed only simple spells, she could perform many and keep them up for a while.
Now came a different question to her mind. Would she really spill all of her secrets to this man over the course of tonight? What was there to lose in doing so? And... what was to gain? For the former question... everything. And for the latter... nothing. To tell him could mean danger for her. But they didn't really know each other. No history. And perhaps might never encounter again. She doubted he was the type to go on and talk of her. He seemed reserved... certainly very controlled. To tell him... Was it worth it? she wondered as she gazed into his eyes. They were indeed mesmerizing. It had been a long time since she had met a male of any kind which could drive her so wild for knowledge and persistence. She kept up her outward portrayal... her usual self around others... mischievous, hiding something. Potentially dangerous. But slowly, her inner self came out here and there. What was it she really desired? At first... the usual answer had been true... a piece of his soul... but now? She wasn't sure... Not enough time had passed... she knew him too little still...
"Please... let me know if you desire anything... warmth... comfort..." she could supply it... and she hardly meant anything more than perhaps a fire and a pillow of sorts. She leaned to the side on one hand. "There would be much to tell you, in truth," she started, looking off from him again. She had decided that no, she would not spill all of her secrets. But enough to satisfy his curiosity... perhaps. That is, if it would not then make more curiosity arise. "The core is my magic... the Spirit has the name of Soul. It is bound to the mirror about my neck. So named, my abilities come from capturing a piece of another's soul..." She paused, glancing at his face to gauge any reaction... then looked off once more. "From there, come other abilities..."
