Before too long, Free watched the female bound off. Sniffing, Free didn't move for a short moment, then jumped forward and followed at a slow running gait. Lazily following, but barely keeping up with the slender druin, he couldn't help but think of how random the female was in some of her actions. It wasn't too long until cries of some cervine came to his ears and the deep vibrations of hooves. Not really caring about the potential meal, he wasn't much hungry nor in the mood to eat. The trees were more sparse in this region of the forest as the elk could easily pass as a large herd. Free watched as the female charged into the large group. Amused, the sooty colored male hopped up a few branches of a large tree; the branch low enough to avoid the foliage, but high enough to enjoy the show. Lying parallel with the branch, Free stretched out and layed his head on his paws. Amazed, although on the slightest, of her killing skills and devouring skills, she was almost savage in doing so. He didn't know whether if she was really hungry or she was always like that; the first phrase made him chuckle.
Seeing that she was done, Free yawned and stretched before jumping out of the tree and padding over to where she ate. "Well, looks like someone was hungry...However, I wouldn't have taken the route you took; I would have chosen an elk that didn't know that I was coming for it. More fun to take your victims by surprise", a wide grin spread across his muzzle.

Desdemona eyed him again fighting the desire to try and kill him just for the fun of it. "I'm not you, nor do I have any desire to be anything like you. If surprise had been my intent they would never have known I was there." Silently she wished the tree would toss him to the ground but put little effort into any kind of magic. She was not going to waste it on him. "I thought you were trying to find the towers not follow me until the world comes to an end." It was a snide remark intended to provoke a reaction though Desdemona doubted she would get one. Desdemona lowered her head and closed her eyes listening once again to the rumblings of the earth and wind through the trees. They were alive with excitement but Desdemona was having a difficult time picking out information. It relaxed and frustrated her at the same time.

Free's left eye flashed as he was perched up in the tree, however something odd followed. A snap and a fizz could be heard like a short loss of radio reception as Free's body faded then came back. He continued to grin as he eyed the female back. Sniffing, another voice came from the other side of Desdemona, sounding the same as Free's, "Ha! Of course you're not me and you're wise for deciding so." A chuckle came from between his teeth, having a dark edge to it. Another Free padded up, opposite from where she was looking at the other him. He didn't say anything else, waiting to see her reaction and what she would say.
It was true, he was looking for the towers and that was his initial plan, but something changed his mind. Free could always search for the towers another day, its not like they moved or were nomadic. Hell, he was immortal. This interesting female piqued his curiosity. "Something more intriguing has rewritten my plans." If something interested Free enough, he changed his priorities accordingly.
It's been a while since Free used his Forwarding Vision and it gave him a weird feeling in his gut to see another him sitting in the tree. Meanwhile, he stood by the female, wondering which one she's gonna pick as the real one.
