Midnight jerked up, terrified. The wolf had come out of nowhere. Then it started talking in some foreign tongue to her, obviously. She darted to Graal's side and crouched there, looking fearfully at the strange male who was uncomfortably interested in her.

"My apologies, qız dostu, Kişi dostu, I noted your wings and thought that you, too, might have hailed from GiSyan, and know the tounge I spoke in. I mean you, ma'am, and you, sir, no harm. I should not have appeared suddenly like that." Rævon was SO embarassed. How could I have been so insensitive? I should have known. Rævon layed down, showing respect (at least, that's what it meant where he came from). "Can I do anything to fix this grave mistake?"

Graal narrows his eyes. "He is too polite, like a human liar..." he thinks, turning his head to Midnight. "I don't trust him, it's your decision, Drappa. What would you like to do?" he asks, turning slightly so he can see them both in the corners of his eyes. "If you don't want him, I can make him go away." he says, eyes flashing coldly.

"I-I don't know," she says. "He seems nice enough, but most people do to me....." she trails off. Midnight glances at Raevon, then whispers in Graal's ear, "....I just....it's...male strangers make me uncomfortable." she says quickly, pulling back and hunching her shoulders. She randomly thought that she liked that he was taller than her. She would stay like that for a few seconds, then glance at Graal. She would straiten after he said something, if he even did.

((Ooc: I swear, I thought I posted! Sorry, guys! *smack on head* Also: Hey kicker- just curious: you being Mr. Dragga-Drappa-Sikla-Vulf-man, have you read David Clement-Davies's The Sight? I just did, and almost got in trouble for laughing during a quiz. Why laughing? I recognized the terms that Clement-Davies used drone SOmewhere (caps intentional)...)) Rævon, still on the ground, felt practically sick. I am SUCH an idiot. He considered his options, then said, "I am sorry, qiz and Kişi dostu. I will go now. Live long in peace and health." He trudged away slowly, head low, wings drooping. Who was I to intrude on them like that? They wouldn't have understood anyway. He was feeling quite downtrodden, but a tiny pinprick of hope lodged itself in his heart. Maybe, just maybe they'd have it in their hearts to call him back, take him in, teach him about this strange place...

(( It's fine, I've done it before as well and yes indeed, I have read both The Sight and Fell, and I loved those books so much that I base a lot of the terminology on those books, such as incorporating the names Larka, Fell, Wolfbane, etc into Graal's myths and legends )) Graal watches the stranger leave with narrowed eyes, still protective of his charge."I'm not going to let anything happen to her now. I can't." "You don't know much of the land, do you? Your social skills are abyssmal, almost as bad as a cat." he calls, not unkind, but teasing, putting emphasis on the last word to show his deep disdain for the latter. He whispers softly into Midnight's ear, "It'll be okay, I promise nothing will ever happen to you while you stand by me. He gently licks her head, smoothing down an errant tuft of fur. Turning back to see the other wolf, he watches for any reaction.

Midnight smiled. She belonged. That was the only way to put it. "Oh, dont't be so harsh on him. He's just, ya know.....new. Let's help him." She said pleadingly. She didn't like when she feels like that-well, felt like that. She really didn't any more.

(Soery about stretch between my last post and this one! Time is yet another of those things I really don't have.)
Unsure as to how he should respond, Rævon turned and said, "Thank you?" ((Ooc: Due to his upbringing, Rævon doesn't really do things like sarcasm and jokes and teasing. For a very breif way of saying it: think Spock. For a longer version, check his profile.)) He stood, shifting from side to side, ready to run or fly or defend himself, but not ready for the kïśi to show sympathy for him. What sort of crazy place is this, where they say things but make it sound like they don't mean them, and they're nice to you even after you accidentally mess up they're lives!? "My apologies for my insubordinance in speaking without being spoken to and asking incessant questions, but are all wolves in this strange place as odd as the pair of you? And what's this crunchy white stuff? It's cold, rather almost like it's cold sand, but sand's not this white, and... oh! There's sand falling from the SKY! How does it do that!?" A big chunk hit his nose, and he watched, crosseyed, as it melted. This stuff was amazing! It was like a sort of water-egg that when it hatched gave water instead of new life. He licked some of it off the ground, and, delighted, began licking it up as fast as he could. Wow! He didn't cate if the wolves had antennae and duck feet, he just wanted this white stuff to be there for him to eat."What IS this!?"

(( Woah! Sorry >.< I must have unbookmarked this thread at some point! And don't worry, I read his profile AAAAAAGES ago Unfortunately, I know what it feels like to be an outcast >.< )) Graal smiles indulgently at Midnight, "Ah es vosh gran-Dragga, vosh wan es Ash compt."(( "I am your big brother, your wish is my command." )) he says, then raises his voice so that Rævon could hear him. "You need not apologize to me, Vulf. I know what it is like to be rejected by a group of Vulfkin that could be friends under different circumstances. I offer my apologies for my intolerance." he says, turning to Rævon with a nod, dropping his tail slightly as he grins. "As for this?" he says, pawing at the snow, "Es nort gravtet, et es snú, or snow in this language. There was a lot of it where I come from, and it used to fall for days and days, but don't eat it or you'll get a head-ache, trust me, I'd know."(( "Es nort gravtet, et es snú" means "It's not sand, it's snow" )) he says, grinning wider, remembering the first time he'd seen snow, almost three years past.
"I remember I ate so much that I couldn't eat the rabbit my father brought me..." he thinks with a small smile, sorrow clouding his eyes for a moment before he shakes his head gently, "Forget it, it's too painful."

The snow had been falling steadily for some time, and Midnight started shaking. She usually enjoyed the snow, but she had been in it for awhile, and all her running around made her tired. ((Ooc: i was gonna say sweaty, but wolves don't sweat, only through their feet)) She tried sitting down, but that make it even worse, and when she stood back up the shivering was worse. She nudged Graal, but couldn't say anything.
