Claws clicked together as Kovu listened to Akeela's response. Well, for one, he knew that she wasn't from here. He did, however, take a liking to her answer, as she didn't really answer his question directly. She seemed to speak in riddles. The coyote has learned the same as she; everywhere was really his home. After deciding to take his journey, searching for his brother, he has left his old home behind and now the whole world was essentially his home now. Kovu knew how that was and could relate to her, at least that much. "I suppose I could tell you the same; I haven't spoken the word 'home' for years. The Earth is my home now."
The older male repeated Akeela's answer. It seemed that none of them were native to here nor knew much about the place. He was at least hoping for the latter. In any case, he supposed he could explore some and find out where he was exactly and if there was an easy way off the island. The idea of staying a little while was really the only sensible thing to do at the moment. His wounds and body needed to recover some after his most recent fight. Limbs were starting to stiffen with the bruises.
A mental barb pricked at his thoughts and it caused him to flinch. Unexpected, Kovu tried to push it away. Kovu didn't want anyone trying to invade his mind, especially in his weak state. Closing his eyes, his mind went into the Earth and tried to figure out where the origins of the telepathic tendrils were coming from. It was close...very. That confused him as to how close it was. Someone near was giving off this different energy. Focusing more, he found it to be one right in front of him. The smallest female, seemed to be doing this. Furrowing his brows, he opened his eyes and looked at Midnight, "Quit that...you're giving me a headache." Having a spiritual connect with the Earth, he supposed was the best way to put it, made his mind more sensitive to feeling the world around him, rather than just his thoughts staying inside his skull.
Rubbing at his temples, the headache would then go away when Midnight would recede her thought tendrils. His eyes looked over at Graal when his name was spoken and waited for what he was going to call him, noticing the pattern. A brow lifted when he cut off and spoke in his native tongue again. "I heard the word Beta, but that's it. I don't understand your language. But judging from what you were explaining just before, you mean to say I would be the Beta if we were a roaming pack?", he then busted out laughing shortly. "Ya think so Pops?", he grinned.
