Streak could see the burrs on Nakaharu's fur. She stifled a laugh. Nakaharu did look, well, funny. Streak saw Nakaharu spring up on her. She was still trying to stop laughing and did not get out of the way. Damn. He got me, thought Streak. She wondered what he would do next. Run to the tree or take revenge and tickle her?

[XD Now I want to do that so badly, but it's way too out of his personality.]
Nakaharu ran for the tree. He was getting close, right? He tried to ignore the giggling wolf, but he could feel his expression drop in embarrassment. He dashed for the tree. Only a few meters away! Was he going to make it? Was it too soon to claim this win?

((You could, maybe later)) Streak got up. She felt something sticking to her. She looked at her fur and saw that some of the burrs had gotten attatched to her. Streak looked ahead and saw Nakaharu was getting close to the tree. She sprinted forward, but alas, Nakaharu had won. Streak would have to catch him a meal. She ran to join Nakaharu. "So, what would you like to eat? Seeing as I lost."

(Would it be oh-so OK if I joined this role-play with my pup?)
Wow... I wonder if I'll be that fast when I'm older? A young, greyish-white wolf would be sitting calmly on top of a tick tree root that stuck out the ground, curving like a miniature bridge before plunging back into the hard earth. Two slightly cupped, triangular-like ears were pricked towards both the older wolves as her almond-shaped, honey-comb coloured eyes glittered with interest. A slightly bushy tail waved around carelessly behind the pup as she caught the words of the ebony shaded wolf, her head cocking to the side at the mention of food for the successful brute. Winter had watched the two begin the race, and had had a good laugh at the Arctic wolf crashing into the bush before emerging with the burrs, although she was outwith hearing range to catch their words of a bet, and merely thought that the two wolves went through a routine together; play then hunt then eat. She had to admit, it sounded like a good plan, although she figured none of the Mori would allow her to hunt at what they still liked to call a 'young age' as if she was only born last week. Winter was four moons old for crying out loud!

((It says it's open, so yeah, I guess. You got my approval.)) Streak was looking for some prey, while waiting for an answer from Nakaharu. She saw something move. Maybe her next prey. Then Streak saw it was a bushy tail. Her violet eyes saw whose tail it belonged to. It was a young pup. Surely this little one could not cause any harm? Streak still had to be cautious. It could be a shape-shifter of some kind. A low growl rumbled in her throat. This wolf probably belonged to this Pack. It would be strange for a pup to be a lone wolf like her. She hoped Nakaharu and the stranger did not know she was just wandering around for a temporary home and this happened to be it. "Nakaharu. Look over in that direction. Do you see something, such as a pup? Should we ask this young one to join us?" Streak asked. She had an edge to her tone. It was clear she did not want new company. Yet if Nakaharu said yes to the pup joining them, then she would have to accept. It would be rude not to. Streak saw the reasoning as this; Nakaharu belonged on this Land and thus he can choose what to do and Streak must obey him. It was a matter of respect. Streak found that respect was one of the main things that got you through life. She did not like this rule, but she followed it. Another growl. Streak felt threatened thinking about the two wolves and the Lands. She could be attacked if they found out. Streak was thinking about bolting. It could be mean her life!

The little wolf was still watching the white male, trying to think if she had already seen him or not in the pack before. She had already done the check for Streak, although failed to remember her at all. It is a large pack. Not surprising if there are still wolves I haven't met. She thought, cupped ears pricking at the slight sound of a low growl played in them. Flicking her golden eyes towards the dark she-wolf, the canine realized she was already watching her and tilted her ears to face her. The words of the wolf came to her next, and Winter cocked her head to one side as she wondered why the female sounded so cautious. As the request of her joining the two came by, the little wolf let a grin slide across her snout, and she hopped from the large root. Her small paws carried her across to the older wolves, with her bushy tail waving freely behind her. "Hi there." she barked, her grin still not falling from her face. "I over-heard you talking; may I join you?" she asked, her golden eyes pleading mostly with the brute to let her join.
