((Pst, your graal nit cercis))
"I'm Midnight. Sorry about that. I didn't mean to annoy you." She wondered were this pup had come from. She was small, and she wondered how long she had been alone. She was like her, she realized. Like herself. Abondoned, if she was, and alone. Well, she wasn't alone. They both had each other and Graal.

Dark ears flattened against a young skull. Surely they weren't serious! Her pup-sitters had always told her that she should be wary of strange wolves; they were prone to gobbling up youngsters like hares. Truth be told, they were just trying to keep the pups safe, but this had yet to occur to Emiko. Her icy blue eye seemed to darken, the orange doing the same. She didn't like being told what to do, but the way this 'Graal' commanded her reminded her of her own father. The one whom she had made it her goal to please.
"I.. My name is Emiko. I don't even know what happened. They're gone." Her voice cracked on her last word and her hackles drooped. It had begun to become so very real in that moment, as if saying it made it true. She wondered briefly if her other siblings were alive. She had been the dominant pup mostly, almost always fighting her brother for that rank. She looked at Midnight, narrowing her eyes before they shifted back to the older wolf, awaiting a response from either.

Graal's face softens, remembering his own sense of loss, abandonment and betrayal he had known. "If there is no place for you, you suffer and die... I can help her through it..." he thinks to himself. "Oooooh dear," he says, taking a few steps closer, his voice gentle and caring, in contrast to the hard, commanding tone he had used previously. "How long have you been alone? Do you have any friends?" he asks, "I know you probably aren't listening to my thoughts, but just in case you are, what do you think we should do with the cub? She's obviously been alone for a long time." he thinks, trying to aim the thought directly at Midnight.
(( Sorry guys ^_^; I kinda fell asleep... ))

'Well we should take care of her. She's little and stuff.' she thinks at Graal. She sat until after he was done then said, "I didn't know my family either. 'Cept him." She poked her nose a Graal. "My parents left me, an he took care of me. I don't know why they left me. Maybe it was my wings, or my eyes, or my spots.....ioknow."
((All the misspelled words are her talking like a puppy. ))

An angry Emiko bristled at the words spoken to her. Her depression had been swallowed by a flare of rage at the two of them. She watched the little exchange between Graal and Midnight happen and it confused her. Her hackles rose again at once, the dark little pup being thrust into anger.
"Of course I have friends!" She huffed at Graal. What a stupid question to ask. An alpha's pup obviously had friends, right? He was just dense. Once again, those pearly white needle-teeth were shown. She didn't need any help from these two. She'd be reunited with her family soon.
"My family didn't abandon me," She growled at Midnight, like a spoiled brat, "They wouldn't." She snorted when she was done speaking, nodding once to show that she knew what she was talking about. The scrawny little thing wasn't exactly threatening; she hadn't had enough food in the past few weeks to keep her body weight. But she could sure as hell try to be.

Graal sighs, nodding gently. He knew his words would be thrown back, such as she was, she would refuse the truth as long as she could. "Not long left before you admit it, Drappa. You're all alone and there is nobody here for you... If there is no place left for you, then I will make one, as I have for myself and Midnight, I will too for you. Just you watch." "You're right, we apologise. We jumped to conclusions, as that is what happened to Midnight, and...." he pauses, "I knew similarly." he says, slowly padding towards her, looking kindly down upon her. "Why don't we go and look for them, Emiko. They can't be too far from here. And traveling alone is hard, especially in this land. Why don't we walk together for a time, if - when we find your parents, you can be with them, how's that?" he offers, smiling gently. "We can hunt for you tonight if you will, Midnight and I were going to the beach later, and if you'd like, we can go together."

"So we are going to the beach?!?! Yaaaa!!! Oh, Emikoo, you'll love the beach! Its so sunny and fun and the water is cool and great to play in!" she said excitedly. She was a little put out at how much attention he was giving the pup. But she didnt let it show. Sooner or later, she would find her parents, and then Graal would turn his attention back to her.

Emiko was baffled at the way the two didn't fight back. Had she acted that way toward her parents or siblings, she would have been rewarded with a lighthearted bop on the nose or a playful growl. The two took her quite seriously, it seemed. Graal offered to help her look for her parents. This caused the little pup to recoil, almost puzzled. Her scrawny little neck turned, tipping her nose so that the two could only see one of her eyes. She peered at them intently as her features relaxed.
"Only until we find my pack." She snorted. She had no intentions of going to the 'beach' with the two of them; they would find her pack quickly, she was sure. To her surprise, the other pup began speaking loudly. Emiko flattened her ears, drawing back as she exclaimed boisterously about how much she loved the beach.
"What is a beach, anyway?" The conceited little cub asked, raising her muzzle slightly.

Graal smiles down at Midnight, glad to see her lighten up. "Well, plainly the beaches here are nothing like the ones in my home, where they were cold and wet and windy, but then, we are a long way from Ashory..." he muses, "The beat person to ask would be the one which has been there before, and I'm going to take a random guess and say this-" he shifts his gaze from Emiko to Midnight, smile widening, "Beautiful little stranger, knows more of this land than I do."

"Oh oh ooooooohhh! Can I tell her? Can I tell her pleeeaaasssee?!?!?! Ok, the beach is like this," she scraped her paw against the dirt, "only softer-the whole thing is sand!!! And then, it's like water, but, like, not river water, its like really salty and yucky. But its sooooo cool, like temperature, and it rolls off the beach, and I play in it cause its really shallow and fun and amazing!!" she finished breathlessly. She was ecstatic that they were going and was happy that Emiko might come too.
Thinking, she said some more. "Oh, sorry Emiko. I didn't mean to be like that. Sorry. But the beach is really cool, you'll love it. I hope we find your parents." She sounded very calm whens he said it, and she tried to be as likable-sounding as possible. She really wanted her to like herself; all thoughts of jealousy were gone.
Having another thought, she said, "Don't worry, even if you don't find you family, you'll be just fine."
