This poem I wrote and the picture Hikaru drew. These works area a tribute to Icewolf and Antartica, officially dubbed the Icemates.
Flakes of snow blow about, filling the air with it's whiteness. A wolf let out a cheerful shout, his heart gripped with a sudden tightness.
Quickly he dashed to his love, his silken pelt of purest tint. The color making him look like a dove, his eyes as cool as mint.
The female to which he ran, could easily pass as his twin. As if they were crafted by the same hand, both seemed to be the other's kin.
Yet this was not how it was, for instead they were mates. She ran to the one she loves, as she had on their many dates.
The two creature held each other, the passion nearly melting the snow. Their love fate had tried to smother, but instead all it did was grow.
The warrior had come home, to protect the family he had made. Clouds above parted their foam, sunlight fell on the two without any shade.
The sun beat down on the lovers, making them both feel a shiver. Yet despite their many endeavors, Icemates they remain forever.
