This is my version of the second story for wolf's rain. Please enjoy an excerpt from chapter one.
In October, year 2239, a dreary night approched a desvistated world. The mist was thick and the silence great. Not a sound could be heard. All of the human laid to rest, not worring about the shadows of death coming at their throats, for they where all dead. In a darkened street a teenage boy with black shaggy hair, crystilene eyes in a light black jacket, thin white t-shirt, and some worn out converses, paced back and forth under a broken lamp post. He muttered under his breath about something inaudioble.
A soft tap, tap, tap was heard a little ways up the street. The boy jerked his head up in time to see a black dog with a blue studded collar. He relized it was a female so he addressed her as so. "Who are you? Why are you following me?" It would seem strange for a human to talk to a dog, but the boy was used to it. Besides, there was a secret the boy was keeping form everyone, and only the dog knew it.
Without warning the dog launched herself at the boy. He raised his left arm to protect his jugular and thrust his right fist into the bitch's gut. She hurtled back with a loud yelp, but was up in an instant. She shook her head from side to side, trying to kill all dizziness from the sucker punch from the guy, but when she was about to leap again at him, she found he was already gone.
The boy raced down empty roads, paved and dirt alike, down allyways, through narrow spaces between houses, and across parkinglots. When he estimated that he was well ahead of the she-dog, he dropped to the ground and took a deep breath. He looked at his surroundings and looked in awe. A large church rose before him. The great wooded oak doors were engraved with unknown symbols and markings, but in the center of both doors was something the boy resonated with.
A large cresent moon with a pale flower in the center of it rested here. Next to the cresent, on either side, where four wolves. The two closest to the moon were howling, and the two farthest where bowing. The boy wondered at what they where bowing. Glancing lower, near the bottom of the oak doors, he saw what. A girl and another wolf. The girl was the only thing that had any color. She had shoulder-length lavender hair and crimson eyes, pale skin and a simple glow about her. Her outfit constited of a single jumpsuit with little dimonds cut out on her outer calves, thighs, stomach, lower back, top of her chest, forarms, and upper back. It too was lavender.
The teenager placed his hand on the door over the girl and wolf and it started to glow a pale white. Pulling back his hand, a name entered his mind. Cheza. He knew not that it was a name, nor who it belonged to. A surprising smile plastered on his face, he pushed open the doors to the church and stepped in. An aisle with golden carpet billowed before him, pews sat on either side of the enormous church. Large chandeliers arose above his head, shadows clung to their flameless candles.
