Padding lightly across the white land was a female wolf by the name of Terra, going on her daily walk through the mountians. Autumn had indeed been taking its toll on the land, which was absolutely covered in white powder, something Terra had grown used to in her two years of life. Her white fur almost completely blended in with the ground below her, and she would probably be unseen by any other if not for the black traces in her fur that were located around her eyes and on her ears and tail. The snow was not very deep where she stood at the moment, but going a few steps further, she sunk unexpectedly to where the white slush was up to her belly. Oh, this is good. she thought sarcastically, trying to push foreward. After a few minutes of struggling, she managed to get going at a slow, yet steady pace through the snow.
Most of the time, Terra had been staring at the snow at her feet, well, now, at her breast, but she occasionally looked up to observe the land around her. This time, when she did, she noticed something that she hadn't before. Out in the distance, about twenty or so yards away, there was a creature. Another wolf, it looked to Terra. She had never seen the wolf before. She didn't see hardly any other wolves at all besides her brothers and, on occasion, her mother. She thought that there might be other packs out there, but she had never actualy seen another wolf from one. She herself had no pack, but she was content with it. She continued on, towards the other wolf.
As she got closer, Terra realized that the wolf was not moving. He was just... staring. Staring at one of his four limbs. Was he hurt? What was going on? Terra wanted to know, but she also didn't want to get tangled up in the affairs of a strange wolf she knew nothing of. I want to help him... she thought. But... How do I know he wont attack me? This is a rather difficult situation. After a moment of debating, she decided that she was going to go and try to help the strange wolf. She pressed foreward, geting closer and closer to the wolf, until she was about four feet in front of him. "Excuse me..." she said timidly. He seemed to not notice that she was there. She continued anyway. "But... Are you okay?"
