Akashi's stance was forgotten with Tobias' wail. "Damn that..." He then fell silent, eyes closed as his own mind began reaching out for Tobias' in an attempt to put some protection between Tobias and Legato.
"I won't allow it!!" The gem she wore was now glowing, no longer acting timid with only brief flashes of light. BlazingTear stood up with tears falling down her cheeks and took a step towards Legato. She pointed her finger tips at him, light moving from the gem to a point before her hand. In seconds a small round orb that glowed with the intensity of fire had been given life. BlazingTear pulled her hand back and swung it forward, propelling the ball of fire at Legato.

A slightly twisted smirk covered the lips of the pure looking Legato, his entre body seeming to gradually peel away, slowly revealing his true form...and even the sadistic look melted from his face, leaving a rather cool and collected picture, as he had not a reason to fear. The perfect lands about him remained as they were...Legato moving about the dream like area as though he were the one who wasn't truely there.
"You haven't a say in the matter anymore Blaze." Cold, cunning eyes drifted towards her figure, hungrily looking her up and down. "You gave yourself to me...so that the both of you would be returned to your normal bodies. The deal is off...and Tobias shall now die." A small chuckle was released from his lips, a madman in every way...obsessed with a treasure he could never truely have. "You shall know the pain of death...and when you can bare it no longer, i shall make it all disappear, and we will live together in nothing but happyness. You will be mine and mine alone!"
A surge of energy flared at his last word, blooming outward slightly, yet most of it seemed to skyrocket, casting a barrier of some sort...and all but broke the beautiful illusion that surrounded them. Everything quite suddenly blossomed into a dark and gloomy place, the castle hovering ominously in the background, while the both of them stood in a rather desolate wasteland. Turning to blaze, another grin spread his lips at her feeble attempt to harm him. " I think...that you would like to watch your beloved's downfall...would you not?" The dark surge of energy that surrounded him, now shot up and outwards, projecting an image of the Hanyou.
Clutching his head, Tobias cringed, his body on his knees, almost in a bowing stance...no doubt Legato's idea of a sick joke. Several minor wounds seemed to split his flesh, as though an invisible razor were sliding over his skin...and obvious sign that at the moment, Legato was winning the war....though Akashi's attempt to reach Tobias weren't entirely in vain.
Shuddering softly, Tobias threw back his head and yelled at the top of his lungs, his arms thrusted out on both sides as his claws suddenly grew a bit longer. Eyes open wide, one could easily see the shift in color as they passed from blazing red to stunning silver. Yet...even his transformation helped little. Panting and stuggling, Tobias was once more brought to his knees, and the grin on Legato's lips grew all the wider.

"This is all because I was weak..." Her voice sounded faint as she backed away, her hand lowering and in result the fire ball fadded into oblivion as though it had not existed. Fiery orbs looked up to the image of Tobias and wept, the bright flow of amber tears staining her cheeks. She reached her hand out towards him as though hoping to touch him, wishing with all her might that she could be with him and somehow make things right.
The gem around her neck that had worked so mysteriously lately began a steady pulse once again, and with each beat BlazingTear's form seemed to grow faint and more like an illusion than solid flesh. At the last pulse before the gem's light died, she was gone completely from Legato's nightmare-ish land.
Blaze was instantly shocked and surprised to find herself only inches from where Tobias was, but recovered moments later to rush forward and fling her arms around him in an awkward embrace. She placed her head as near his as she could get, the bright tears dripping onto his being as she did so. "Don't let him win Tobias...I'll be right here with you to make sure, no matter what. I won't leave you again!!"
Her eyes squeezed shut as her embrace on him tightened, "I love you too much to loose you!!"

Once more Tobias' body shook in a rather violent manner, the wounds that seemed to sprout out of nowhere getting a bit deeper and more serious.
And then...He could feel her embrace. That warm familiar smell that tickled his nostrils brought back pleasant memories and all but woke him from his daze. Inhailing sharply, Tobias gasped for breath, his lungs having been all but frozen from moving, and simultaniously, his eyecolor once more shifted back into their normal amber. Quickly he returned the embrace, a look of shock upon his face as he held her, tears welling up in his eyes, yet he was too stubborn to let them fall and too dumbfounded to speak right.
"Blaze...I....i" Another gasp for air fought it's way out, a wild look hovering within his orbs. "GET AWAY!" In an desperate attempt to shove her body away from him, Tobias struggled to move back and away from her body...yet once more Legato's control over him had power. In the moment of her release, his claws shot forward, aiming for her stomach and to ultimatly strike her down. Legato's words spewed through Tobias' voice. "If i can't keep you...the so be it. But so help me, i won't let your love reach another ever again." Tobias was now standing, his gaze fierce and powerful, his claws hungrily reaching out to strike the only person he had ever truely cared about...helpless to do anything but watch as Legato moved him around like a puppet.

BlazingTear's eyes opened and saw the attack coming as if in slow motion, yet she couldn't move to avoid the fatal blow. BlazingTear felt the powerful force push her back, droplets of her blood spraying the air as she fell to the ground. She lay there, stunned, breathing hard as she waited for the torrent of pain or the embrace of death, but neither came. Pushing herself up slowly, BlazingTear was able to realise that her wound was not as serious as she had first thought.
A few gashes were torn into the front of the fabric of her clothes, yet only a small amount of blood stained the cloth to reveal mere scratches of her wounds.
Akashi kneeled down on one knee, both hands grasping the hilt of his sword tightly as the tip dug into the surface on which he stood. Sweat trickled down his brow as he took in great breaths of air. Using such a force to push Blaze to safety had taken more out of him than he predicted.

Several strands of silver hair stuck to the sides of Tobias' face, beads of sweat growing and then rolling slowly down his brow. His stance hadn't altered in the slightest, and slowly, ever so slowly, Legato's fierce hatered began to burn its way into Tobias' soul, tainting it so that even should Legato stop using Tobias as a puppet, that fierce hate would remain, and ultimatly would be used to stay off Blaze.
His chest rose and fell heavily, eyes narrowed in the heat that seemed to force it's way into the air. For now, Legato did the talking...but in time, the words would be Tobias' own. "Your friends shield you well....but don't you think it time you start fighting your own battles Blaze?" His voice was smothered in a rage unlike any tone he had used before with Blazingtear, and the oddness of it was most unusual.
His gaze was then cast on the forms of Spencer and Akashi, his right hand twitching slightly as his claws gleamed with malicious intent. He was completely under Legato's control now, his soul having grown all the more darker within the passing minutes...it would only be a few more before Legato could release him to be on his own.
Darting forward with speed only a half demon like he could muster, he brought himself closer to Akashi, ready to strike. Ready to kill.
The blast of a gunshot fired loudly over the other ruptures of noise, directing attention to Spencer, who stood a few steps away in a rather cool and collected mannor. Two more shots echoed over the first one, his aim having rested on the hanyou. He had never missed before, and his intention was to not miss again. Faster than Tobias could run, the bullets rushed in to aid him in his fate and strike him down before he could strike.

Her heart beat quickened, each beat in time with each passing second as she stood to launch herself at Tobias. The fear enveloped her mind that she would not be able to pull him away in time, that even without Legato's means she would still loose this person whom she cared about most of all. She wasn't fast enough, even if she did reach him, to pull him from the bullets' path. Her mind fought against the panic and sought another way.
BlazingTear slowed, pain wracking her very soul as the bullets connected with flesh, tearing through clothing and skin, blood gushing from the open wounds. Her eyes clouded, blurred by tears that rolled down her cheeks. She then fell, stunned, her legs collapsing beneath her in this moment of weakness. The body that had acted as a shield for Tobias, lay sprawled and wounded before him. Akashi was quiet, for he could hardly speak, let alone breathe with three bullets taken in the chest.[/size]

The stench of blood lingered within Tobias' nostrils, delighting them with the rich fragrence and furthering his thirst to feel the liquid upon his claws. Akashi was now only a few steps away...and not to be unepected, Tobias began to close the distance between the both of them.
Both feet pushed from off the ground when he was but a few inches away, his claws out and ready to strike Akashi down, close enough that the possibility of escape was near next to none.
"YOU IDIOT! WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO THAT FOR?!" Spencer steamed as his fingers fumbled to reload his chosen gun as Tobias advanced. Muttering to himself, he cocked his gun and aimed once more. "Waste of bullets...." He fired rappidly, four times this round as Tobias lept into the air. Sweat beaded down his face, his expression sour as he watched his handywork.
A spurt of blood errupted from Tobias' side, then another and another, each of the four bullets finding their target this time. Tobias' voice choked within his throat as his attack was thrown off balance, and he found his body collapsing on itself. Thrown to the dirt, he skid across the terrain for a moment or two until he came to a hault, remaining there unmoving.

"Tobias! Akashi!" BlazingTear shifted to stand, but fell back to the ground. Her strength had suddenly left her, and not because of the trauma she was experiencing. The soft orange glow of her gem had died out completely and lost all it's pigment. It had been helping her recently, but to do this it had to draw on BlazingTear's own strength and her power was not limitless. "I can't...move..." BlazingTear sighed as she fell over, eyes closed as if in a trance like sleep.
Akashi moaned, but managed to pull himself up into a sitting position despite the three bullets he had just taken. "Damnit...all..." A hand grasped his kimono front, pulling open the robes to show off three bloody wounds, each one exposing a deadly bullet on the surface of his skin. The bullets had only gone deep enough to draw out blood on the surface and thus had avoided anything vital. Akashi pulled out the bullets as though they were nothing but splinters. "These just might leave a scar."

Spencer's sharp eyes swiftly checked over Akashi's wounds, his expression more annoyed than anything. "It shouldn't leave any trace that it was ever there within a few momets...the shells disappear within about two minutes when in contact with blood." Spencer began to move towards Tobias' body, checking him over as well. "If you had any faith in me..." He let his voice drift as Tobias began to move, watching cautiously as the Hanyou righted himself.
"Damnit! What the hell did you do that for?!" Tobias scowled up at the face that was steadily looking down upon him. "Idiot...you don't shoot someone on your side!"
"YOU were not on my side when i did this damage to you..." Spencer turned, his trenchcoat fluttering lightly and snapping a bit at his heels. "I've injected you with something that should stay off Legato's mind control...it should last up to four days time, thus the four bullets." He glanced towards Akashi "You should not be affected at all really...i suppose it's just added protection for the next three days against Legato." He sighed, his hand putting back the gun. "Still a waste of bullets...." He turned to Blaze, concern slightly clouding his expression. "Should i be worried...or does she do this often?"

"Well what the hell am I supposed to think when you aim a gun at someone!?" Akashi tossed the bullets over his shoulder, giving Spencer the most anti-trusting glare he could muster. "When you point a gun at someone, trust isn't exactally the first thing that crosses their mind."
Akashi turned his gaze to where BlazingTear lay, looking worried as he moved to her side and lay a hand on her shoulder. "You alright there sis?"
Though Akashi attempted to awaken her, BlazingTear did not stir.

"Have a little faith in your company!" Spencer retorted quickly, glaring at Akashi. "It wasn't like i could give you any warning....or would you have rathered I let him carve you to bits?!" Gritting his teeth he began muttering to himself, oblivious to anything going on anymore. "stupid....idiotic....moronic.....how'd you get yourself stuck with amatures spencer...."
Quickly Tobias scrambled to his feet, dashing closer to blaze within a heartbeat, the back of his hand lightly touching her cheek as his other lightly shook her. Gritting his teeth, he scowled, glaring up at the both of them. "What the hell happened?!" with speed, he gathered Blaze into his arms, moving to pick her up. "we have to get out of this hellhole..."

A sigh escaped as Spencer moved forward, his attention having returned to the group. "Do i have to do everything?" Fingers expertly reached for another gun, drawing it forth swiftly. With a twitch of a finger, the gun was cocked, and then fired, the bullet aiming for the ground.
It was like a dream, almost as if a black hole had appeared and was now sucking down every bit of the world that had existed. The spot where the ground had been struck, stretched out until at last, it simply burst, like the thin walls of a bubble, leaving everyone high and dry...the lot of them miles up in the sky with now nothing under their feet.
"Shit...." It was the only word that one could understand as the group plummeted back down to earth.

His wings were quick to sprout, followed by the complete wolfen transformation of the Konzen wolf. Akashi continued to fall despite his newly transformed wings, for a wolf was not made to carry passengers of their size. He struggled to yell over the sound of rushing wind, "Try and grab hold of my paws! It may be a rough landing, but it's better than nothing!"[/size]
A fairly loud roar sounded from nearby, followed by a large, serpentine shape that adjusted itself to fall beneath everyone. Doushiko let out a grunt as Akashi landed on her head, the bright wolf bounced off her muzzle before disappearing over her nose. [/size]
