Yinneth jumped up over the edge of the fountain, landing right before the sculpture in the middle. He put one paw and an ear on the surface... No, no sound of water, it was an illusion. He jumped up toward the top once, just to see if he could reach it. He looked to be panicking, his mouth open and tongue hanging out panting. He backed up to the edge and pounced upon the top of the sculpture, jumping off as it neared the ground.
Underneith was a tunnel of some sort... An ethereal golden light was held at the bottom, kind of creating a soft glow on the faces of the wolfen and wolf, Triniti and Yinneth. "Go down the tunnel," he said, "I'll follow quick-" He was cut off as another moan came from the pathway they were in moments before... The thing making the noises slowly slid out behind from behind the corner...
Evil looking it was, a person floating just above the ground, paler than death and devoid of anything... The neck of the person was crincked sideways, like the way someone's neck is after being hanged. The once human creature seemed to have been a decorated officer in life, wearing his medals and a tattered array of fine class-A's. "Go!!" he yelled to Triniti.

A sense of fear was growing inside of her as she watched Yinneth. Catching a glimpse of what was making the sound, she looked at him one more time and bolted for the tunnel. Once she was a few meters in, she turned around, making sure he was still there.

Yinneth jumped into the small tunnel, sliding out down, down, down into the darkened passage way, leaving the ruined fort, and the angry spirits above them. It seemed minutes before Triniti and he reached a point in the tunnel where it flattened out.. It gradually flattened out and spread out, into a dark as pitch cavernous place some ways below the island... Strange, glowing stones lined the cavern, barely illuminating it enoough to see. Just barely... "Triniti, wait a bit, don't move, we should wait a while till we get our night-eyes," Yinneth said uon reaching the entrance, staring around wide-eyed in the darkness of the place. There was the sound of water dripping, and the green light from the stones reflected off of various pools of water. yinneth licked his lips, and the foam from them. The water in this cave was obviously unfit to drink, but oh, how he was thirsty, and despite the cold, kind of hot, too... Yes, these symptons he had heard about for sure, and he was frightened to die the way he had seen others die... No, it wasn't that, it wasn't that, it was something else, something else... He kept thinking that over and over again, not wanting to surcumb to the possibly diagnoses of it... "We should rest for a bit too, to catch our breathes. We're safe here....."

Taking a few steps forward, she stopped right next to Yinneth. "..hey, are you gonna be ok?" She asked, becoming more concerned. Her fear that she had above the ground had left, but another fear was forming. Her eyes were slowly becoming more use to the dark, but not quite enough to actually see around her. "Where are we?" she asked, without actually realizing she had done so. It was like a place in a dream. But she wasn't sure if were a pleasant one.

Yinneth nodded slowly, as he felt a slight slight pain in his head, probably from jumping headfirst into the tunnel. But, the foaming at the mouth, the headache ever so slight, the needle harbringing this all... Could it have been? No, please, no... Not that. Anything but that.. These symptoms pointed to only one thing, and Yinneth's stomache sank... "Triniti, I want you to know....." he began slowly, weighing his words to sort out some that wouldn't plainly say it, and tht weren't to leave her clueless in the presence of a possible biological timebomb. "If I start acting weird... Like hydrophobia... You have to run, and you have to swim back, and leave me here... I think that needle was poisoned..." No, he couldn't tell her why, though... All the symptons where there, excessive foaming of the mouth, headache.... All that was left was panicking near the water... Yinneth had steel nerves, he could keep calm very well, so he'd know when to tell her to go, and when he'd snap at this horribly contagious disease. Oh, dear gods above, why now, with her nearby?

Becoming more scared, Triniti got closer to him. ..Yinneth, I can't...I can't leave you here" she said, shaking her head. She knew her heart that she would have to listen to him and run, but she didn't want to. The thought of leaving Yinneth behind to die scared her. It was like a bad dream, or deja vu to her. "No. I can't do it," she said with a more stern tone this time, knowing that he woud read right through it to her fear. "Your my friend, and friends don't leave their friends behind."

Yinneth licked more foam from his black lips. Why, all this in a sequence? It all fell together like a drama, a drama for the gods to watch and laugh at. But they weren't simply characters!! These were real lives!! And, to only add to his sense of complete helplessness, was the idea given to him by Triniti... If he did loose himself, to become only the essence of his subconcius mind, and she didn't run... Wouls she let him kill her? Let him split her flesh, and rip her throat? He could see it, hear her cryin out in pain and betrayal. No, he wouldn't let it. His whitish, grey-tipped fur, matted and ruffled with dirt and water, gleamed a little bit green by the green luminous stones as he passed one slowly to move ahead of her. He looked back, the side of his face illuminated by the green, faint light that made all the difference. He pulled his lips back in a wolfy smile, and said in a calm, unhurried tone. "Let us go back to the mainland. I'd rather be laying on the beach than standing here in this cavern of strange rocks and holes."
