Demex smirked, lifting his head after a moment of silence, allowing the question to die down before actually answering. "I'd be perfect if I had a little more blood in me." A grin appeared, "Care to donate some?" He stood as he said this, yet he did not make a move towards her.
He stuck out his tongue at her, closing one eye with a frown formed from his lips. "Thanks to that underling, I need a lot more blood than what you have."

'Or willing to give.' She added shifting back away from him, now that she could feel her legs once more. He was injured, but she was sure he could still take her out if he wanted to. Her body gave another tremble, this time more from a cold shiver, her fur was still rather wet and the feeling of the wind cooling her skin quicker then what she thought was comfortable. A few more steps she took away from him, watching him carefully. Yes she was afraid, but now she was just a little bit curious.

His tongue retracted, opening both eyes to look at her fully once again. His head slowly leaned down, getting closer to her own, muzzle brushing the air right next to her ear. "You'd be surprised how many are so willing." He spoke with that voice he had used to greet her, spinning though it's fibers a soothing and relaxing tone. Many with a weak will power were often quick to sway to it.

As he had leaned forward, she had leaned back, but her movements were not far enough nor were reactions quick enough. His words were much like spring, soothing, warm, and welcoming. She swallowed trying to fight the feeling of a dream, Galaxia also tried to move a bit away, resulting in her more leaning then actually moving from her spot. Then an awkward screetch reached her ears.
She looked over, her attention moving away from Demex. What she saw was something that was alittle surprising. It was the little bird that had lovingly woke her up. He sat there bouncing on a branch, chriping as if asking for more fur for his families nest.

Demex's ears lay flat against his head, ear drums pounding with the bird's sudden, raspy cry. He opened his mouth to scare the infernal creature away before he stopped, looking odd just standing there with him mouth open and no words coming forth. The black ears lifted, twitching at a small sound that normal wolves could not hear.
(The following scene is done with Z's permission. Warning, this stunt should not be attempted at home. This scene has been done using untrained professionals.) Demex suddenly sprang forward, catching Galaxia in his jaws, but not to take her blood for his own. Instead, Demex picked her up by the scruff of her neck as gentily as he could. The air around both of them turned black, blocking out all sounds and sights. In Galaxia's view, even the feeling of Demex holding her would have disappeared along with the sight of him above her. This feeling lasted for a second before all sences returned to show Demex standing over her with his head low, eyes looking off in another direction.

She was unaware that something besides the bird was around them. It happened within the blink of an eye. In the time it took her to realize something was different and that she was in a different spot all together. She curled closer to the ground, this time shaking completely. Instantly her eyes snapped up to look at Demex hovering over, but he wasn't looking at her. She looked around trying to follow his red gaze. It felt as if her heart was about to pop out of her chest. Whats going on? she thought feeling confused. She looked back up at Demex, voicing her question within her mind almost thinking she had said it out loud.

A false alarm? Demex scanned the surrounding forest, the foliage all looking the same with patches of auburn all around with green hidden between. Yet he knew the area was different than the place they had been in before, mainly because he had brought them clear to another shore of the lakeside.
No...the threat has simply subsided... His ears lay flat, eyes glaring at the bushes as though daring them to shake and reveal another of his 'friends'.
He leaned down, remembering his now frightened cargo. Everything was calm at the moment, but of course danger still lurked about as long as that gray demon knew the general area he was in. Demex sighed, remembering that he had only planned on tasting her blood just a little...she wouldn't have remembered anyway if his usual influence worked on her mind. Only now, he had brought her to the attention of another and faced the possibility of getting her entire system sucked dry.
He observed her for a moment before concluding that it probably wouldn't be smart to take her on another 'blink', the process of shifting through planes and bringing one self to another different area at the whim of a thought. Not that he could pull that off again with the amount of blood he needed.
Demex brought his head up and his mood lifted just a smidge. What he faced was an old tree, it's leaves still growing and turning orange with the coming fall, yet the entire inside appeared hollow from the looks of the large hole that opened up along the trunk. If they couldn't quickly leave, he could at least erase their presence in a suitable hidden location. Demex began to slowly move towards the tree, "We should take cover now, unless you want to meet up with our little gray friend again." It was all he said before lowering himself a bit to fit through the hole in the bark. Were Galaxia to enter, she would find a comfortable hollow, with low light that filtered from the very top of the old tree, running down the ancient wood to create a fairly well sized area. Although, with Demex now taking up one side of the curved wall, there was just enough room for her to lay down with a head's length of ground separating the two wolves.

This was all too much. Any moment now, Galaxias would turn into water and she would be forced to stay there. Shaking she glanced around. This wasn't where she was a moment ago, even that sluggishly moved through her mind. Then she heard Demex speak, not really aware that he had moved. Dialted pupils watched him move towards teh haven of the tree trunk.
Their grey friend? She looked around again. That thing was here too? How many of these wolves could move this fast? Better yet, what sort of wolves were these? Far from the norm that much she knew. Taking in a deep breath she moved forward, almost falling from the fright that left her legs feeling like jello. Moving slowly, and close to the ground she edged inside the open hollow. She made sure to stay plastered to the wall and to the ground. Watching him carefully. It indeed felt roomy but even then she felt the walls closing in around her.

Demex was quiet as she entered, eyes following her movements to the very moment she had gotten her entire being into the hollowed safe haven. His eyes closed as he felt a twitch along his neck, feeling the muscle beginning to mend and repair itself while he had a chance to rest. The dark blood slowed it's course down his fur as the wound closed up to a reasonable extent. A slight whoosh of air was released through his front fangs with a grimace. Healing was painful when he was this weak.
Opening his red orbs to gaze at Galaxia again, his expression softened to one he had not revealed to her as of yet. His voice was calm and pleasant, but not so much alluring as the previous ones had been. "It's my fault you're in this mess...and for that, I appologize." It wasn't much of a comforting sentance, as it certainly would not fix the wrongs that had happened, but he felt he at least owed her something for causing her so much trouble.

A mere glance was given to him as he spoke. Looking back towards the outter world, she tried to calm her still trembling body. He's right, it was his fault! She should have been alright if he hadn't shown up. No no, that was all wrong. If he hadnt been there, and that other wolf was, she surely would have wound up dead on the shore line. Curling closer to herself and the wall, she looked at him more fully.
'Without you, been dead I might have been.' Galaxia tried to push that stil continuing feeling that it was his fault, but, she was somewhat stuck with him in here and could hate him later for it. Looking around briefly at the small hollow she laid her head down on her paws and let her ears lay flat. This was turning out to be a very bad day.

Demex made a soft snuffle with his nose as he let out a breath of air. He supposed that it was her way of saying it wasn't his fault, when in all truths it really was. He remained still and quiet for the time being, understanding that their plight had now turned into a waiting game. Despite his injury having healed, he was still too weak to fight off any of his kin that may be lurking and he was sure that that lower ranked whelp had certainly at least alerted some friends.
With such a small distance between them, Demex decided to pull in her blood scent to pass the time. A creature's scent told much about a creature such as their identity: age, sex, habitat... But of course, the blood scent that a demon could pull out was so much more than the simple basic information.
For instance...he could already form a picture of her mate from the blood scent eminating from her. His eyes widened in surprise for a breif moment. Maybe he should have pulled her blood scent earlier.
She wasn't very old...at least compared to his age. She hadn't had pups yet(I'm pulling this from her profile. xD ) and, oh yes, she was definitely female.
Demex gave a smirk as his eyes closed. His voice was low and close to a whisper when he spoke for the reason of to not give away their hiding place or maybe because he was simply speaking to himself, not that the thick wood didn't cover it up from anyone on the outside. "I made another mistake."

It was uncomfortable, being this close to a stranger and knowing that something out there was hunting them. Galaxia was more then worthless in a fight, the most she could do is run. But even her speed was no match for what these creatures could master. It didnt matter now what she was thinking, for her line of thought was broken by his clear words. Ears lifted as well as her head, and dual star'd eyes looked over at him.
'Sorry?' She asked, not quite sure of what Demex meant. Did he lead them into another trap of sorts. She glanced around the hallow, looking for any signs of weakness in thier fort. None that she noticed. Prehaps these demon things held more then just speed? Maybe they could some how blow this mighty tree down with a simply huff of their putrid breaths?

He scooted forward along the ground quietly, taking a chance to peek up and around the bark that acted as their hide out. He could not smell, sense or even see hide nor hair of any of his own kin. Either they had actually left(or had never been there to begin with, as the first one they met could have been greedy with his information) or they were simply hiding to lure them out of their own hidden spot. Demex let out a soft 'hmm' of thought.
His ears twitched as he picked up Galaxia's short question, looking towards her and giving a sad grin. "I involve mortals too much in my sticky affairs." He interpreted for her, giving a soft grunt as he stood and moved his head out through the trunk into the open air. Now that he had at least healed some, he would rather face his foe head on than hide away like a mortal. Running was something he did not like unless the situation called for it. If only he could find some blood...
His gaze momentarily flicked back towards Galaxia, but he instantly perished that thought. He had caused her enough trouble for one day...

She watched him as he moved out, her question almost seeming unanswered. Then he gave a small, sad she thought, smile and gave his explination. A brow arched carefully, then he has been in this position before? That idea didn't begin to settle well within in her stomach. At least he had gotten out of those situations, obviously, but what of the other mortals that he had gotten mixed into it. She held her breath, almost as if thinking that her own breathing will bring about some enemy.
