The shadows on the street stirred as the many people in the restoraunt walked around eachother. The inside of the tavern was lit by golden candles and great lamps. The window glew gold, like everything inside and seemed as if it was warm. The sky was dark, the ground covered in a light snow. It was still very cold, but the worst was out of the way. The moon shone bright, as did the stars, in this crisp night. Not many people walked by, most asleep in their houses at one hour 'til midnight. Out from the alley across the way slipped a shadow. AWith a limp it moved toward the window on four long, lanky legs, and as it moved into the light, it was clear what it was. Nein Tseliben, as one Ukraine man had told her, No Future. She was a dog, a purebred borzoi no less. Her limp was from her right hind leg, where she had been kicked hard by a strange man in an alley a second night ago. She moved onto the windowsil, a bench that made the window smooth on the wall from the inside, and slowly and painfully lay down on her side, injured leg outstretched, peering into the window. There was wistfullness in her eyes, which now were amber in the calm, warm light of the restoraunt. Like all borzoi, she was exetremely lanky, lean with long legs. But, since she was a stray, she was extra lean, all muscle. Her large, long-furred ears hung down, framing her unforgetable face. Her muzzle streamlined like most of her breed to the skull, and her tail was quite long. Her claws were overgrown, and caused her some pain when walking, but nonetheless she could glide over the terra like a ghost, like a wolf in its gracefullness. Her head rest on her paws, which were covered in snow and caked earth. Her face was tawny, and was her other marking. Her back was blue in the darkness, but grey with a blue tint in the light.
She stared into the restoraunt, inn, tavern, whatever it was, and seemed to plead: Please, toss me something. What have I done wrong? Would you be so cruel?! She needed help, and she hoped to get it. If only there were a man or woman kind enough to take her in, fix her up...

Excitement grew in Nanai-dashi and Chiro-dashi as they saw the restaurant. They hadn't eaten in days, too much trouble following 'their' dog, Satsukai, whom had been wandering through the planet!. Too bad they didn't have an adult with them, they could only hope to get in, with the wolf... The twins suddenly stared at Satsukai, who trembled as they stared at him. If they had an idea, it wasn't a good one. A few words, which Satsukai could not understand, since him being Japanese."Nani?" Satsukai was now in human form, entered the restaurant. After they had gotten something, they decided it was best to leave from the candle-lit restaurant, though it was too dark and cold to leave. Now they were just staying.
Satsukai had strange movements after he was transformed, now wearing a white shirt, green jackets and shorts, orange hair tied low to the ankles no less. Bare-foot. Not many people were seen, maybe they were asleep? Besides that, he couldn't see much dogs either, not even animals. Humans everywhere. He wondered how they ended up here. As they sat down, Satsukai spotted a dog on the windowsil outside. "Nanai-chan? Chiro-chan? Kanochi no inu wa soto desu."
The twins ran off outside as fast as lightning towards the door, which left Satsukai speechless, staring as if he had just seen a ghost. They threw leftover meat towards the dog as Satsukai made his way out. "Hello!" Satsukai suddenly nudged at the girls, wanting to become normal again.
"Onegai?" Satsukai was wolf again, and approached the dog, female, unknown to him. He asked the dog her name. "He is Satsukai-chan!" The twins still hadn't finished with their food, so they took it out, which they wouldn't allow you to do, so the wolf just sat outside, seemingly lonely.

The moon shone through a brilliant clear night down on a bare coastline as the waves splashed onto the sand and were pulled back, a constant push and pull, the water coming up onto the sand, then pulled back to where it started. A constant conflict between the two, the water constantly trying to consume the earth. In the distance, a city could be seen with it's lights flickering, like it was on the brink of falling into oblivion. But it remained, a monument to human endurance. It was a beautiful symphony, the splashing of the waves, the blowing of the wind, the rustling of a few trees spread around, and the silent approval of the night as time moved on.
A crisp note blended into the silence. It was followed by many more. Note after note, high and low, flowing in time with the waves, the breeze, the trees, everything. It produced a sound of sadness, of nogalstia. It said everything and nothing at once. It spoke the truth of one young boy's heart and his sad longing for things long past. A home. A family.
Finally, after what seemed like a long time, the notes came to a stop, and a young boy with grey hair siting on a roof in the city stood up. He was wrapped in a tattered, faded, green cloak that touched the ground and had patches sewn on it in places it had riped.
At his foot was a large staff, and sheathed on his left side were two Katanas. Strapped to his right side was a bow and quiver. He put his flute, which he had just been playing, in his cloak and reached into his bag on his back. Out of it he pulled a tough looking notebook and a fancy pen and began to write.
"...Push and pull...
...Push and pull...
The moon and the stars shine down on this glorious night clear night. This city seems peaceful. It would be a good place to stop and rest for now. It seems to be a fishing town. I'll go get a bite to eat now. Later.
The boy, fourteen by the look of it, stashed his notebook in his bag, picked up his large staff, and jumped down from the second story roof. He then began to stroll through the moon lit city. Soon he found a restaurant, but there was a small group outside. Two humans, an injured looking dog of the ground, and a wolf. He walked closer to see what was going on.

((Where'd that come from? We are talking about a specimen of the species Chihuahua, in which AmeFox is certainly going to murder. If you are a chihuahua, have a chihuahua, or own a character of that species, beware))
((Oh Yar, about Hei in Awakened of Humans? What do you mean?))

((The chihuahua thing was just a joke, although I have shot at it with an Airsoft gun))
Nein shrank back against the side of the thick wall as she saw two humans and a strange creature... She had never seen a wolf before, and was just as intrigued as frightened of this new thing. A wolf, but she'd never understand it the way a human would. To her, it was just a really big, really weird dog. Her moevment was so sudden that sshe had bent her leg, and she yipped in pain slightly. She hoped she hadn't been spotted. And, once more to her surprise, the strange dog morphed into a human!! Oh, the confusion. Dogs can turn into humans? What next, pigs into cows? Well, beyond that, she was scared out of her wit, and did not make a sound.
She calmed when the strangers had gone inside. This sort of thing never happened back on Yirunovitch, the crest of her former owner, Ranch. Ugh, and now she had to lay back down. She smiled to herself that she could finally rest in the light, but she hated moving her injured leg, and that man had kicked her so hard... It might've broken a bone. She managed back down, but mere moments later the trio had rushed out of the tavern, startling her worse than before. She jumped right off of the windowsil, and landed quite a bit away. She stood there, startled with her heart racing, mouth hanging open in a comical look of surprise that even a fool-minded person could figure out. When they tossed meat at her, she stepped back more, and dare not touch it. It looked so.. so inticing, but these things that gave it to her were just asking to end up accidentally being bitten. If they kept this up, they'd soon learn to never startle a stray...
Finally, they went inside, but they left their strange dog outside. He seemed fairly docile, so she took a wild chance. A stray aproaching a strange dog is just as bad as playing Russian Roulette with one person. She hung her head, limping toward him. She hadn't even notice the hunter-boy a ways off but still in eyeshot.
"S... Sir...." She began with a heavy Ukraine accent in dog commonspeech, "You... You von't bite me, Sir? Please forgive me... I am a lonely stray, and I''m quite lonely.. Zou... Zou know zem? Is zeir food good, Sir?"
[Replace all Z's with TH's to understand ^^]

((ohohsee: I can't post after this because is' Good Friday, already 3:00pm. I have to post back at Sunday.))
Satsukai saw the twins stand at the doorway eating their food as he listened to the other wolf. "I won't bite you." He was troubled at saying dog speech. "I do know them, and their food is good, too." Satsukai had nothing to do so he sat down infront of the dog. "What is your name? I am Satsukai." His orange fur was ruffled, short. He looked pretty worn out.
The twins ran outside after throwing their rubbish into the bin, Nanai-dashi appearing first. They spotted a man with a large staff, seemingly wandering towards them. They waved towards him, and then came behind Satsukai, and bent down; "Satsukai what's her name?" Satsukai glanced at them and shrugged. He looked back at the dog, and followed Chiro's gaze towards another man.
Nanai-dashi decided to run back inside and get some more food, and she somehow snuck out some, without knowing.

Selth came closer and saw that the two girls wave at him. He saw that were feeding the now obviously injured dog. "Hey, need any help?" He came closer so he would not have to yell. "I have healing powers." he said as he kneeled down and put his staff behind him. He took the snow in his hands and quickly melted it to water. Then he waited for the girl's reply.

Nein looked down at her paws which seemed like they were miles below her. She grew faint, and groaned, catching herself before she fell. She lay herself down, and looked up at the wolf of orange and such fur. She still had not noticed the other, "My name... I remember, once a man had called me Nein Tseliben..." She smiled faintly, and shifted her broken leg a bit. It hurts so, but she tried not to let on with more than a cringe. She knew that no one would stop the pain. Yawning, she lay her head on her paws, the wind picking up a moment later. It blew hard, tossing up trash and snow and kicking it everywhere. she closed her eyes, her breathing became rythmatic. It seemed she had fallen asleep on the cold, snow-covered ground.
Her ear perked a bit at the voice of the other young man, but she did not stir. She smiled to herself in her sleep, in her dream. She may have found a new caretaker, now, and may not have to live as a stray mutt any longer, in the bone-chilling cold and rubbish-filled alleyways. But, she shouldn't put trust in others so easily.
((Sorry for crappiness...))

"Okay!" Nanai-dashi said to the man. "But she's sleeping..." Chiro-dashi told him. They looked at the dog. They asked Satsukai again. "Satsukai, what is her name?" "Eh... Nein." Satsukai was right now left out of the conversation. The twins allowed him to become human at anytime after they ate. So now he's human. He sat down, cross-legged, and thought for a moment. Nanai-dashi and Chiro-dashi were watching all three of them, and sure it was possible. "We can help heal her!" They near-shouted.
"And to show you..." They swiftly cut Satsukai's arms, then he yelped. "Nani?! Baka..." He wouldn't say no more, instead started to lick off the blood. "Wait!" The twins said. He instantly stopped. Nanai-dashi ran to one arm and Chiro-dashi to the other. As their hands became crimson, Satsukai's arms were healed. Then the twins quickly ran into the restaurant to wash their hands. As they ran outside, now it wasn't as cold as before, Satsukai suddenly stated: "Go." "What?" Oh they knew what he said. "GO." "Leave now?" "..." "Iie," "Oh." They thought he meant the board game, so they pulled it out. "Iie." "Then what"- Their own little conversation had already started.
The horror started when the twins got too angry and nearly blew Satsukai up! "Ah...Ah...AH!!!" Satsukai backed away.

"Well, this is complicated." Selth was speaking outloud to himself as he watched the girls and the man. He was kneeling next to the sleeping dog who they called Nein. "Odd," he thought as he pulled a blanket out of his bag and draped it over the dog " What a coincidence that 'Nein' means 'No' in that other language. Maybe there was more to the name." He looked up at the starry night, then to the dog, then to the trio over playing a game.
...how odd all of this is, how life pushes us sentient beings together constantly...
The moon now hung over the street they were all sitting. In his mind, Selth saw a picture. Him. A home. A family.
After checking the dog's leg, he sat back down, concluding it was not fatal and could wait until the Nein awoke. He sat back with his back against a wall, just out of the light of the resturaunt, but still in the light of the moon, and produced a long, wooden flute from his bag.
He got another picture, one of a noble person on a mission, and he began to play.
He played a song of Valient battles, of strong hands that rushed into the fire to save lives they did not even know. Of strong steel used to protect, instead of to hurt. Of a raging battle between light and darkness, between good and evil. He saw a barren field tinted orange infront of him and darkness all around. He heard an unearthly sound, a laugh.
...Heh, heh, heh...
His fingers began to more to diffrent notes, covering diffrent holes. He still played a song of Nobility, but it became tinged with sadness and despair. Of hard times and evil thoughts. Slowly the Nobility dissapeared, until almost nothing remained.
...No... He thought to himself. ...Not again...
Using all his stregnth he summoned another voice. It sang in his head in was a forgrein language, but he understood it.
...Could it be the sacred winds that call on me to now begin to walk into the dark, carrying the light of tomorrow... (OOC: this was translated.)
His fingers once again changed notes, and it turned from a song of despair to a song of hope. He knew that he was diffrent. He had taken sword in hand for a reason. His notes now had hope and nobility, with some reflection and a little despair. But he stood strong against his doubts, and he stood up as he played to the moon and the stars, to the world, to the Universe itself.
His notes suddenly hit a high pitch, and his mind was a world away. Then, the note faded. His hands moved the flute away from his mouth, and his mind returned to his body.
He sat down back in the light snow with his back against the wall and looked up at the starry sky. Then he took seven pendants from around his neck and looked at them. Each was a diffrent color.
...Light and dark green... ...Milky blue... ...shaded red... ...purple with streaks of white... ...black, dotted with white... ...earthly brown... ...grey with shades of white...
Each one represented a memory for him. Each one represented a special place. Each one represented a friend.
In his mind, he played over the events that led to obtaining each stone, then he stared back up at the night sky.
And he smiled.
(OOC: Sorry it's so long. Is that against the rules?)
