Nein sighed in her sleep. It was peaceful, her dream, but it was disturbing. It was strange, she was somewhere she knew as home, but it was different than her old owner's house. It was smaller, the curtains not as extravagent as before. The roof was lower and not flat, but sloped. The mantlepeice wasn't as glossy, nor so complicated. Looking around, there was only one door, and the master's Coat of Arms was missing. It was very modest, and the fire not so big. But she felt like she belonged here, and it felt very happy. She sat, and wagged her tail, examining the room more. The swords crossed were missing, as was the suit of armor. It seemed completely different, and the walls and roof were made of something different than before. But it was still homely. She heard a noise behind her, and spun around to see it. Outside, it was a very bright light, and in the doorway stood the very vague silhoutte of a person. She looked up at the silhoutte through squinting eyes, wondering who it was. She didn't catch any scent beyond the wood and fire. It was very strange, but friendly. Like it was a happy thing to see this person.
She perked her ears, eyes still closed. She caught their words, meaningless bundles of sound. she felt something on her, something warm, but still felt the cold snow on one side. She lifted her head up slowly, and looked around. Near her crouched the man who seemed more ordinary than the other two, and the strange dog looked once again likea human. She peered around in the snow, then once again felt the burning pains of her leg. She whimpered pitifully, and clenched her teeth. She looked up again, at the man who was nearest and moved toward him submissively with a whimper and a soft nuzzle.

Satsukai had apologized to them and came back to the dog. "What are we waiting for? Let's treat the dogs wounds now!" The twins felt no need for hesitation, and ran up to them, leaving Satsukai in dust. Satsukai coughed. "C-Chotto M-Matte..." He coughed again. The other man had started playing a song, but then the instrument was put away. Something struck Satsukai. He quickly jogged over towards Nein and the man and asked, "Namae wa nan desu ka? Watashi wa, Satsukai desu." "He means, 'What is your name?' His name is Satsukai." The twins had forgotten to introduce themselves, either to Nein or the man. "Nanai-dashi, and Chiro-dashi! Waii!" Their hands shot up into the air as they leaped, luckily missing Satsukai's chin. "We have nothing to do right now..."

"Ahh, I never introduced myself either. I am Selth. Pleased to make your aquaintance, Nanai-dashi, Chiro-dashi, Satsukai."
He looked down at the dog softly nuzzling him.
"All right, from what I saw earlier, the bone is broken and needs to be reset before we heal it. I'll do that."
Selth slowly pulled the broken leg into the extended position. He ran his hand along it until he found a bump. Then, he took some snow and covered the wound with it. The snow flashed and melted away. The bump was still there, but the area had a slightly bluish color to it.
Selth looked at the other three. "That will numb the pain. Now I'll reset it." He simply pulled the leg slightly forward, then with the other hand, pushed the bump in. There was a small click as it moved back into place.
"Now, we just need someone to hasten the healing process."

Nein almost bared teeth as he moved his hands toward her broken leg. She had learned that some hands were kind, happy, generous. But more often than naught, hands were weapons, to hurt lesser or equal creatures with. She wanted so badly to lash out with her teeth, to rip the hand that might hurt her, that might cause her more pain. He pulled her leg into an extended position, quite gently, but it still hurt. It was too much, she did bare her teeth. Far, far too much, she had to do something to stop him. She fe;t about to bite when he stopped, and reached to put snow on it. The cold bite of the snow melting into her fur fought with her racing heart and burning pain, the three seeming to cancel one another out. It was cool, a moments coolness in a fire pit. Suddenly, it was dull. Dull and blunt and barely there. The pain, all feeling in that spot was a far away, muffled sound. She looked at it, scared to find out what was wrong. It looked fine, other than the bit that looked like the seeds of frostbite before they're sewn. Her snarl had sense died away, and she nosed at him with a whimper. He put his hand on the wound, the broken, stiff part that was bent strangely. She snarled again, wanting to move away. she moved only a little bit, though. She knew she really wanted that help she was getting, but she also couldn't stand anything or anyone toucxhing her wounds. It iritated her beyong the length of measure, and made her edgy. Worse, when he pressed on the bump. She couldn't really feel it, but she heard it. That was the ounce that would snap the twig. She snapped at him swiftly, hoping she'd miss. There was no force behind her bite, so even if she did catch something, it'd be no more than a single toothmark. She jumped up and back, away from them, her broken leg dragging on the ground. She wasn't snarling nor bristle, just up and alert.
