Dober felt the strange, invisible force tugging at his weapons, but he refused to loosen his grip or let himself be dragged into a situation where the ones who outnumbered him had the advantage. His eyes caught the movement of Monet and he pulled the sleek weapon around, firing two warning shots that singed that area of the roof-top just behind her. Though he looked perplexed as he pulled away from her attempt to give him a red cheek. He had been trained to dodge things far quicker than an attempted slap on the head. "Who do I think I am? It is my duty and job to come up here miss-" He saw Kahlid's movements from the corner of his vision, still having his pistol trained on where she had been standing. It took an entire two seconds for him to turn to face the charging ant. The weapon he had trained on Rave not long ago was now switching targets to Kahlid. One of his fingers moved swiftly, catching a switch with the tip of his doberman claws. The gun beeped briefly as it switched settings, so high-pitched that only an animal's sence of hearing could pick it up; like that of Dober's. The trigger was pulled and a beam was produced from the front of the weapon that shot out towards Kahlid, one that when used in practice had blasted through an entire foot of concrete.

Two seconds. That's all it took. Two seconds and a high-frequency beep that Khalid thought she only imagined - something accidental that her antennae had picked up. It wasn't warning enough - she threw herself to the left and down, but the beam lanced by and struck off the tip of her right antenna. There was not so much pain as there was shock and vulnerability - Khalid felt half-blind, though she could still see and her antennae still worked to an extent. She knew, though, that the beam was powerful, more powerful than her exoskeleton could withstand - and she knew that she wouldn't get as big of a break as she just did. She was exceedingly fortunate that she only suffered the loss of half of her right antenna. If Dober fired again, she would not be able to dodge it in time, and she would be lost. Clearly, Dober was taking no prisoners - at least, none of them in ant form.
And now there were reinforcements! Even with her now-fuzzy senses, Khalid could tell that much. The roof was suddenly jam-packed with people. She was losing Dober! He hadn't budged an inch, but with all the new forms around...she could hardly distinguish them. She couldn't tell which was enemy and which was ally (if indeed she had any allies, or if they were all so indifferent as to let her die). She couldn't function like this - she had to go human - and then...and then what?
Khalid didn't like not having a plan. But there was no other alternative. If she stayed in ant form, she would surely die. In her human form, she would be able to retain her human senses and figure out what the hell was going on. And maybe Dober wouldn't be intent on killing her in human form. Maybe she could surrender and...
...and maybe pigs would fly into Hell and cause it to freeze over.
Still, Khalid transformed. She lay face-down on the roof, covered by her half-torn trenchcoat, breathing hard. There was no visible or tangible wound in her human form, as there was no human equivalent to an ant's antennae. She could see and smell and hear as well as any other human. Hesitantly she stood up, and regarded Dober coolly, aware of the other cops on the roof. She hoped for a distraction - just one, brief distraction, it didn't even have to be three seconds long - in order to go through with her plan. If not...well, she would improvise.
It was always good to be skilled at improvising, after all.[/color]

OoC: Fwee! Is anyone in the mood to get this plot kicking again? x3 It had all seemingly turned into chaos on the roof. The cops that had suddenly swarmed up seemingly surrounded everyone, and seemingly were leaving no possible ways of escape, especially with their guns all threatening every being alive on this roof. Zatheena couldn't reach up to wipe the sweat away that dripped down her face. Even with how high up they were... it was still quite warm up here. Her eyes glanced around herself through her shades. She caught sight of a girl who had come up after the cops, and was speaking. She half ignored what the girl was saying, she was on her own thoughts. She saw Dober's reaction to Khalid... and the ant-girl back off and transform. The man that had come with Khalid was in cuffs... joy, she thought sarcastically. Monet of all people, what had passed through that girl's mind? At last her gaze fell upon Rave, not being able to move or he'd be shot, or so he had been warned.
She was sure that she wasn't simply standing there free to do anything either. One of the cops probably had a gun pointed at her as well. In fact, speaking of which, she was sure she had heard someone tell her to drop her guns. She was still holding her pistols, and they were still aimed at Dober. Dober. Her gaze fell upon the doberman-policedog once more. She had no intentions of blowing up and waisting any more lives... but it seemed that might be the only solution. She wished there were something else. Well, with her and Rave having psychic abilities, that would help in the two of them avoiding bullets. But still... they were outnumbered. 'Please don't le' me make any stupid moves,' she thought silently.
Oh, this was perhaps the dumbest thing she could do... but she shoved that out of her mind. "DOBER!" She shouted, hoping to pull the policedog's attention towards herself. At this instant, she let loose a couple bullets, and Zee had good aim. The bullets however, were not sent to kill.

The suspense dragged on. Rave could feel his own heart pounding as the excitement of this mess continued to heighten. In that instant, as everything seem to be still, the shot rang out from Dober's weapon.
In a flash of lightning, Rave struck out at Dober. A high kick would perhaps have connected to Dober's hand to kick the weapon from his hand if he was lucky.
"You gon' die," said he gravely.
