The brat plucked at her dark hair in a somewhat insecure manner as she followed the man Joseph through the house, nodding politely as he showed her the room she'd stay in. "Yeah,... uh... I don't want to intrude though... ya sure you don't want me to pay? I've got enough to let us both stay." She sounded a bit anxious, after all, she wasn't used to staying in a stranger's abode. Sequoia faught the urge to roll her eyes after Sabir spoke. "No, no, I would rather stay here where I'm already comfortable, but please, stay with me," she pleaded to Sabir, hugging a somewhat threadbare pillow to her chest she took from the sofa earlier. She hadn't realized it, but she subconsciously felt as if it were her shield of those more powerful than her. It was then that she noticed Sabir's strange behaviour - more so, the fangs that had protruded through his gums. This made her think more of vampires than serpents, and this caused her to feel a bit more panicked. If he intended her harm, he'd have done something ages ago. Perhaps it was his way of being defensive against Joseph. "Oh, uh, my name's Sequoia. Sequoia Istas." She spoke to both the men.

Joseph glanced at Sabir, though said nothing. It was up to Sequoia if she wanted to stay or not, but he had given her all he could, or so he felt. Afterall, he really couldn't blame her for her reaction earlier, and he wanted to make sure she felt like she was safe and out of harm's way. He saw as the other's fangs came out, and though he wasn't afraid it made him feel a bit awkward. He glanced at Sequoia when she asked if he was sure he didn't want money. He smiled at her, no, it's fine. Just make yourself at home and don't worry about it, really. Just try not to break anything else." He was only teasing, and his golden eyes twinkled slightly. He nodded faintly when she gave her name, "Ah, well, pretty name. Just call me Joseph." He kept himself alert in case Sabir did try to do anything, but wasn't all too worried about it.

[glow=red,3,000]~Sabir~[/glow] “Well, you already know my name.” Sabir looked at the others, licking the venom from his teeth in order to keep some of it contained. Swallowing his own venom was like swallowing saliva for a human. “And if you don’t, well, that’s just a pity.” He smirked. If he was going to stay here, it didn’t mean that he didn’t have to be annoying or smart. He stood, morphing back into his legs. “I shall be right back. If I am to stay the night, then I must get some things.” He looked at Sequoia with a small smile. “Don’t worry. I won’t be gone for long.” And with that he disappeared back through the door from which he had busted through.
He kept true to his word and came back a few minutes later, carrying a pack on him. He dropped on the couch, pulling from it a custom cotton blanket with a crest with a dragon upon it stitched neatly into the middle. He threw it over the back of the couch, letting it rest there for a moment. He then pulled a small flexible cup from the bag that had a flexible lid on it. There were two holes in it. Without saying a thing, he went into the bathroom and shut the door and did not come out for a minute or two. When he came back, his fangs were hidden and the cup was half full of the amber poison that had graced his fangs earlier.
Still quiet, he went outside and dumped the poison into the sand, kicking the white grains over it and watched as the sand was dissolved and the liquid shrunk. He kept doing this until it was completely gone before he went back inside. “There, that should solve that problem for the moment.” He stated softly as he put away the cup once more. With ease he shifted back into his half snake form and looked at the other two.

In all the frenzy, Sequoia had forgotten that she said her name to Sabir. "Oh. Well duh... eurgh... I knew that," she stated boldly, daring anyone to challenge her otherwise. "Sabir, you look like you're on a mission," she remarked, winking. "Well I guess that's my cue to head off to bed." With that, she straightened herself out, brushing her hair with her hand while walking toward the bedroom that Joseph said for her to stay in. As she crossed the threshold, she had forgotten all of what had happened, and was beginning to think of what tomorrow would bring. Crawling into bed, still fully dressed, she fell on top of the covers. The instant her head hit the pillow, she fell right asleep.

Golden eyes turned their attention upon Sabir, the second half-breed that was in this house. Joseph responded to Sabir with only a slight nod in response, saying nothing as there was no need to. He leaned back against the wall, feeling at a rather small loss of words. He folded his arms across his chest, observing the following actions Sabir took, putting two and two together to figure out what exactly was going on. It wasn't hard to guess. He turned his attention on Sequoia briefly as she said she'd be off to bed, responding with only a quick, "Right, good night then..." and watched her as she went off. He sighed, beginning to move toward his own room, swiftly and easily getting ready for bed. He plopped down, yet found he couldn't find sleep. There was just something that was getting on his nerves though he couldn't quite pin-point it. He supposed he find out sooner or later.

[glow=red,3,000]~Sabir~[/glow] Sabir had never slept so badly.
At one point during the evening, he had gotten up and laid on the sofa in the front room, hoping to find an easing resting place there. But even that did not help. So as the sun crept across the watery horizon, Sabir lay across the sofa, tail draped over the arms of the sofa, eyes wide open.
He could not sleep easy because he was in a stranger’s home, and that stranger was in the house as well. If he closed his eyes for one minute, he thought, he was putting himself at risk to be harmed or even killed. Wild thoughts rampaged throughout his mind and even while he was awake he could not relax. Slowly he sat up and slithered over to the door that led outside. The birds were already awake, diving down in search of breakfast as the sun became more prominent. Rubbing the dark circles under his eyes, he turned to go back inside and laid on the sofa once more. Exhaustion beating at him, he let his eyes drift close and did not reopen them.
