Coward? A coward? Endymion tried his best to suppress a roll of his eyes. All that contemptible Deathblood was attempting to do was to rile Endymion up into a battle, but it was not working. Endymion was a very callous creature, but wouldn't hesitate to knock Deathblood silly if he really desired it.
"Oh, stop laughing," he groaned at Deathblood, sitting up so he sat up straight on his rock. "You are just an annoying kid, all lost and alone, with nothing to prove but his nobleness to the world. That's all fine and stuff, but please run off and tell someone who actually cares..."
At that moment however, when Deathblood was nearly long gone and away from their lives, Endymion stood up on all four of his paws. He heard Deathblood chuckle. Chuckle. It was a mocking chuckle. Endymion was not quite hard to anger, ironically; alas. His suspicion of Deathblood laughing at his earlier embarassement stung hard on Endymion's normally callous heart.
Raising his head, he pawed the ground, sending up a light dust cloud before charging straight at Deathblood. His heavy mass thudded upon the bizarre lavendar grass.
"Teach you to laugh at me, you great ugly oaf," he thought.

Amnesia yawned once DeathBlood was finished ranting about how much better he was than they were. “Such emotion,” she remarked quietly. “What you call ‘cowardice’ is only a willingness to stay alive. I can’t accomplish much if I’m dead.” She shrugged carelessly. “I do not fear death. I merely think it is horribly inconvenient. I have much to do with this frail lifetime I’m given, so why waste it by chasing after fleeting images of vengeance? Why should I let emotion hold me back?”
She wasn’t sure if DeathBlood was listening, since she could hear him already walking away. Still, she continue to talk evenly, not raising her voice. “Your concept of glory, courage, and cowardice is nothing but a fool’s dream. You justify your entire life by avenging one who is already dead. You are only given life once. If you want to throw it away to accomplish next to nothing, then nothing I say will make sense to you or persuade you. If you want to kill yourself with pointless passion…that is your own choice.” She smiled softly. “Yet, by the end of it all, you will be dead and gone, erased completely from this world, while I, the so-called ‘coward,’ will still be around making my mark.” Her smile grew, becoming more sinister as it bared her fangs.
“Ambition,” she finished, her voice still light and free of emotion. Suddenly, she heard Endymion begin to run towards the departing DeathBlood. “Endy,” she said warningly, but she knew he wouldn’t listen to her. She let out a sigh, and turned away from the inevitable combat. What a waste of time and energy. Oh, Endy, you’re usually not, but you can be…such an idiot.
Amnesia left the ridiculously pointless battle behind, her mind already on the next step. It is time to explore now. I need to know this land.

A slew of sounds poured forth onto the tilted ears of DeathBlood's sense of hearing. However one of them was different from the others. It was not pawsteps nor voice. In his mind's eye the mascu could almost see the dust beneath a heavy paw, rising up into the air before slowly settling down. Deep red eyes narrowed slightly as he heard heavy steps, swiftly growing louder. A small smirk played on his lips as he waited for the right moment.
When the time was right, the warrior whipped his lithe body about to face the on-comer. His body crouched and his muscles retracted within his neck. Like a striking viper, he snapped out toward the side of Endy's face. Ivory fangs and teethed slashed forth viciously, hoping to do as much damage as possible to his foe. The blow was in no way fatal, not to the vitals at least. The attack was meant to maul and main his foe's face, a more personal blow to the ego. All there was to do was wait and see if it succeeded.
However even though he had tried to dodge the attack, DeathBlood had not expected to escape from his enemy's charge unscathed. Indeed he was right and predicting that he would be dealt more damage than his own attack would put forth. A snarl left his maw as one of Endy's horns ripped through his leg. Blood spurted out through the air in a wide arc as the sharp object pierced through flesh and muscle. Even though it would not immobilize this being, it could prove to be a bother. The pain of the blow gave him more fuel in his own attack.

Endymion felt his ivory horns hit flesh. A deep grunt was emitted forth from the impact, followed by a rumbling growl once Deathblood's fangs met with his skull. Two deep gashes were present beneath his eye. Gossamer-white blood spewed sporadically. Endymion fell, and rolled thrice before standing defensively. His thick double-canines were exposed as he wiped his face with his pale tongue.
With unyielding grace, he whipped himself in a circle, lashing his tail where he thought Deathblood was standing. Normally once it crashes into a being, they would be knocked off their paws or stunned, rather than impairing the outer frame.

Amnesia walked away from where she knew Endymion and DeathBlood would hash it out between themselves. Males, she thought disgustedly. Always carrying on some idiotic notion of glory and dignity. Spare me! She began to pace around the land, avoiding the strange vegetation and the strewn-about rocks and such. At length she found what she was looking for: a native to this bizarre land.
She smelled its scent, and paused to better “survey” it. It had the same scent of a raven or a crow, but was somehow…different. She would have to find out more. She spoke something harshly, and the bird-thing was instantly paralyzed, its mind ripe for picking. She sank her mind-probe into it, rifling through all the memories she found interesting or useful and discarding the rest. It was a relatively simple creature, so it wasn’t hard in the slightest to enslave it and use its memories, knowledge, and instincts for herself.
She found out quite a good deal about the animal itself and the land they had come to—now dubbed “Orsa Tribus.” The bird was about the size of a crow, but it did not have a raucous call. It was mute. All others of its kind were mute as well. They were able to communicate with one another because they had a strange pollen-like substance on their wings that gave off a variety of scents. If they waved one scent a certain way, it would mean one thing. Hence Amnesia’s confusion. Fascinating, she thought. So different from the creatures we know!
Also, she knew more about the land. There was an expansive river not too far from where she was. She ordered her newly enslaved bird to lead her to it, since she was thirsty after the long journey here. I will return to Endy and Mara soon, she thought, once Mara has recovered and once Endy is finished justifying his dignity. She followed her slave, digging through her newly acquired memories to learn more and more about this place they had come to.

A grunt escaped Deathblood as the tail hit him full force in the side. Dirt flew into the air as his claws dug deeply into the ground. He skidded several feet away before coming to a stop. His scale-like fur had protected him from too much damage but the force of the blow had still sent him off in one direction. Snarling, he took the opportunity to assess his foe. A small smirk fell into his lips when he saw something that was in his favor.
With that, Deathblood started to dash toward his foe. Heavy paws fell onto the earth with each step. He made his direction toward Endy's side, head lowering as it seemed that he intended to slam forth into them. Closer and closer he drew closer to what appeared his intended target. However once he was about to make contact, his claws extended and his muscles flexed. The bulk of his body swung around rapidly in a circle, causing the blade on his back to arc up in a swing at Endy's side. However that was not the nature of the attack, but more of something unplanned. Deathblood came to a stop crouched before Endy. He sprung out like a viper and began to viciously try to deal damage to his foe's neck and chest. Endy had been foolish enough to keep his head raised earlier, but would that still remain?
