A dark figure swiftly ran across a riverbank in the blackness of the night. The wolf blended so well in the dark, she would be almost impossible to see. The only real indication of the wolf being there was the soft squishes of mud coming from underneath her paws, the faint smell of meat coming from her breath, and of course, that bright grey, almost white face. The thing that mostly gave her away. Only Moonlight wasn't running, she was escaping. She was escaping the nightmares that haunted her sleep. The nightmares of her tragic past. She usually had no way to escape them, but tonight when they came, the only thing she thought of that might comfort her was the Place. The Place was a small plain, surrounding a small lake. But one section of it, instead of dipping into the water like the rest of the plain, rose up and broke off, kind of like a little cliff. Finally, she arrived at the Place. The Place was even more magical at night. The full moon, in all its beautiful glory, painted light streaks of moonlight all over the grassy plain and its blue and purple orchids, reflected itself on the smooth ripples in the lake, and out-shone all the other stars in the sky. The calm and peaceful feeling she had now made the happiness she felt the first time she was here seem lame. Moonlight realized she wasn't breathing. After her brain was functioning normally, she walked forward to the little cliff. It was a few feet off the ground, and about a yard wide. Her small frame fit perfectly on it. She looked around her. The Place had no trees dwelling on its land, but lots trees surrounded it. To Moonlight, it seemed so open but yet she felt sealed off from the rest of the world. The Place was quiet, but not the eerie kind. The peaceful kind. So she let out a long howl, bawling at the moon, releasing all the nightmares and tradegies that had haunted her throughout her life, into the air, swirling around in the night sky.

Myou had recently arrived in this new land, his travels always seemed to get him in odd places he didn't quite understand, but managed to pretend like he fit in. It was night time, luckily the full moon rose high above in the sky. He knew he'd have the strength to defend himself if the occasion arised.
The forest was dark, and the trees seemed odd to him. It sounded as if everything was whispering a foreign language, but everything was silent. The stars seemed to dance in a eerie and wicked way, then moon seemed, different. Everything about this place was different. Maybe he imagined it, but it felt like he wasn't welcome there. Like, something wanted him gone.
Suddenly the air broke with the sound of howling, it sounded sorrowful or maybe angry, he couldn't tell. His first instinct was too flee, but something help him there, and he began to walk towards it. His paws seemed too move without him telling them too, as he began to make his way through the trees. His nose finally poked into a clearing and the moonlight shone down on a darkly colored wolf. They wolf probably wouldn't notice him, but he stepped out of the shadows, admiring the wolf's voice.
Then suddenly his foot snapped a twig, and he realized he may have took one step too many.

The small pup's voice stopped, and the sound rang out through the air. Moonlight's muzzle pulled pack into a smile. She felt much better for some reason. Why? Who cares. It felt good. The female now felt more at home here...
But she smelt something. The unmistakable scent of another wolf. Soon, she heard it too as the sound of a twig snapping shook the calm air. A sudden feeling of... jealousy ran through her. This was her special place.. not this stranger's. The magic of the atmosphere felt so natural to Moonlight. Why should this stranger feel it too? The place was not meant to be shared. But oh well, she thought. She would not want a fight.
Stepping off the rock she was standing on, Moonlight stepped closer to the wolf. But it was so dark at this time of night.. she couldn't even see it. The only thing standing out on it's hidden body was the green eyes, very much like her own. Except her blind eye, which had a little bit of fiery colors in it. She badly wanted to use her magic, creating flames, to see the intruder. She did not think at all that she would be showing off and might provoke the wolf. So she closed her eyes, and pictured bright, swirly flames so real she could practically feel it's warmth. And then her paw was suddenly engulfed with flames.
Holding her paw up to where the dark figure was, she finally could see it clearer. He looked like a male, much older than she was. And larger. He was probably an adult, although all older and larger wolves looked like adults to the pup. Then she realized this wolf could be dangerous and might attack her. Like that one did many years ago...
She shook the thought of it out of her head before terrible memories dawned over her. " Hello?" she asked it. She sat down warily and licked her paw that was on fire just a couple on moments ago before he responded.

(( tis open, child )) Cercius' rough hands slowly moved, swinging him quietly from branch to branch, his muscles aching and the scratches on his palm were stinging, but that was the whole point of the exercise: Pain brings comfort in the future, and self infliction brings strength by tolerance. He reverses his grip, turning around to repeat his track along the canopy, but his fingers slip on some damp moss. "Fragget!" he swears in his mother-tongue, crashing to the ground with a loud thud, covering his bear fur clothing in dust and leaves.
"Better than mud I guess..." he thinks, standing up quietly.
A howl breaks the night sky, and he lifts his face to the moon, hearing the howl for the feeling, if not the meaning. It so echoed his pack-brother at times, the pain and loss tore through the stars, crashing on his ears like a physical wave of emotion.
He begins a slow run towards the source, careful to avoid undue sounds in the dark shadows of the forest, he always hated the sound of clumsy humans crashing through the forest. Often pursuing him. He slinks closer to the source, coming up behind the female as she licks her paw. He clung to the edge of the clearing, letting the shadows cloak him and the clothes he wore mask his scent. He stood silently as the other two wolves spoke, his dull eyes not lighting up as theirs did, he was confident they couldn't detect him without some change in wind direction.

Streak sat behind a tree. She was tired after running all day away from humans. She heard the howl of a nearby wolf and moved closer behind the tree. She had already been in enough danger all ready. She wasn't taking any risks. Still, Streak was curious to see what all the howling was about, so she looked round, her violet eyes piercing the dark.

A few tiny air bubbles escaped Glaciers cold nose, bobbling in the waters light current as they floated towards the surface of the lake all of them bursting before they reached air. Small strands of lake weed tangled themselves around her paws tickling her pads. Glaciers white coloured fur swayed to and frow with her every movement. Light shone down almost piercing the lake bed and even the female druin could tell it was a full moon out. Any traces of life that lived in these waters had long since hid for sleep or simply because of the fear Glacier would have instilled inside of them. There were no fish or crustacions anywhere so what was making that noise?
The only explanation could be.....Glacier raised her maw to glance at the surface. She must have company, air breathers surrounding the field above. Their voices were muffled and it was hard to distinguish how many there might be. Contemplating weather to remain below the surface or make her presence known. Difficult decisions and she had no idea of knowing if the creatures might be dangerous or have violent intentions. Glacier would have to surface, her air supply was low. She had remained under water for far too long now and her lungs were starting to ache. With her actions decided Glacier focused her energy into bringing her wings to appear.
Rearing back on her hind legs Glacier gave a hard push launching herself above the water creating a loud spash that echoed through the surrounding trees. Taking in huge gulps of air the druin spread her wings. Sprays of water glided off of her feathers plummeting back down to the lake. Some tiny drops managed to splash on the grass sitting next to the dark lake. With a strong flap of her massive wings Glacier rocketed herself higher into the air. Within seconds she had reached a height of 70 meters. Still ascending until she was well over 100 meters in the air, a safe distance where she felt she could not be attacked the druin circled above the group below listening to the commotion and watching for any signs of attack.
