Ryleigh lay in a field, surrounded by tall grass. It was well into fall now and the leaves were changing around her. Ry was out tonight just simply to watch the stars. She hadn't done it in some time and it was such a beautiful night. The air was cool around her but the skies were clear. Ryleigh closed her eyes and held her snout up, taking in deep breaths of fresh air. Her lungs burned slightly from the chill but she welcomed it. Ryleigh rolled onto her back and let her eyes wonder over the sky. The moon was bright tonight, almost a golden glow to it. Harvest moon. How pretty.
Ryleigh then set her attention to the stars. She often spoke to them, hoping her ancestors were up there guiding her. Life had been good lately for her but she always liked to check in. She started to pick out some of the star formations as she lay. Ryleigh sighed to herself. The night was quiet around her, only a few small field mice could be herd from where she lay. Ry hadn't felt this peaceful and at ease for a while. That was why she often came out here, just to collect herself from the craziness that had become her life. Time all but stopped for Ryleigh as she laid in the field, feeling the grass brush against her fur as a breeze started to blow. Ryleigh knew she couldn't help creating a breeze, it was just something she did. She closed her eyes and lay in the field, just enjoying the silence of the night.

Rumor padded through the grassy field. He could sense the field mice and another larger presence. He padded toward the larger being, his pure white coat swaying in the cool wind. He was blind, but he could tell where things were, on the ground, using his earth abilities. The x scar on his forehead reached all the way down to his eyes, causing his blindness. The night air was sharp as he breathed in. Rumor could tell the presence was another wolf. Due to its smaller build, he could tell it was a she-wolf. She rolled on the ground so that the flat of her back rested on the ground. ‘Maybe I’ll not bother her,’ He thought, but decided to keep padding forward. He was heading strait for the she-wolf and could now he could smell her scent. It was from the Shinkou Pack, which filled Rumor with relief. He wasn’t in the mood for a fight. In fact, Rumor never felt very motivated to anything that required too much work. The white male ended up walking up to the she-wolf who was still lying on her back. ‘She must be star gazing.’ He thought looking down at her. “So, how do the stars look tonight?” He asked as he tilted his blind eyes toward the sky.

Ryleigh was startled by the voice she heard. She hadn't expected to run into anyone while out here. Ry rolled onto her belly and looked up at the wolf in front of her. She noticed it was a male. He was larger then her and pure white. Ryleigh blinked, confused and not really sure why he had asked her that. Why would he ask me how the starts look tonight. They are rather bright tonight and easy to spot. I wonder if there is some reason or if he was just curious as to how i looked at them Ryleigh cocked her head to the side slightly as she thought about how she was going to answer. Ryleigh, still slightly confused, answered him anyway not wanting to be rude.
"The stars are beautiful tonight, just as they always are. Shining brightly and guiding my way. I always come out here when im not sure which path is the best for me. And sometimes i just like to enjoy their beauty." She smiled softly thinking about what she had been doing just moments before. She then stood slowly, shaking out her fur coat. She stood facing the male and looked at him more closely. "May i ask why your asking though? I'm not meaning to be rude, just confused." Ryleigh felt her ears slide back some, hoping she had not offended him in any way. Her intentions were not to chase him off. She hadn't met many other wolves yet and she was excited to get to speak with someone. The stars were good to speak with but they never really spoke back.

Rumor looked back down at the she-wolf, his sightless eyes gazing at her form. “Well it’s nice that you feel that way about them. I’m sure they are thankful for your complements.” He said softly. Rumor didn’t know why he was being to mice to the she-wolf, but maybe it was because she reminded him of Cloud. When she asked him the question, he sarcastically wondered if she could see? “ I am blind to things that don’t touch the ground. That means I can no longer see the beauty of the stars or moon.” He said sitting down. “I’m Rumor by the way.” He said introducing himself to the she-wolf. His white coat seem to shine in the moonlight, but he couldn’t see that nor the color of the other wolf’s coat.

Ryleigh watched the other wolf as he spoke to her. His white coat makes it look as if he is glowing in the moonlight. What a beautiful sight. Ry heard Rumor mention he was blind to things that do not touch the earth. She wondered if he was an earth element. Using the ground and vibrations to see. A technique she was sure had taken years to learn and perfect. Ryleigh still had so much to learn with her own element. "My name is Ryleigh or Ry if you wish. It's nice to meet you Rumor." She stepped forward slowly with a small smile on her face. She leaned in and softly ran her nose over his neck in greeting, since he was unable to see her smile. She hoped she hadn't scared him. Ryleigh then moved back and sat on the ground in the spot she had been. "If you are able to see using the ground, does that mean you are an earth element?" Ryleigh was curious now. She cocked her head to the sit, awaiting his reply. How cool to be able to see using your paws. Using your resources and making a bad situation into a positive one.

Rumor stiffened when the she-wolf leaned over a touched him. He didn’t do well with other wolves touching him. Due to how he was raised and how he had live his life in the past, it had become like instinct to not let others close to him. “Yes, I trained myself when I became blind to see using vibrations in the earth.” He explained. “It is very useful to use the earth to see, but it has its down sides.” Rumor sighed. “ I can’t see colors or, like I mentioned before, things in the air.” He swished his tail over the ground and let it rap itself around his paws. “If you dont mind, I would like to know what color your pelt is.” He asked after a few moments of hesitation. Hopefully she didn’t think it was too weird of a question.

Ryleigh hadn't meant to scare him by touching him. She just thoguht that might be an easy way for her to say hello. She sighed to herself afraid she had upset him. Ry was anxious to make new friends here and scaring Rumor away would not be a good way of doing that. Ryleigh chuckled softly when he asked about her pelt. She wasn't sure she would be able to describe anything well to him but she would give it her best shot. "My pelt has a bright red, a dark red and some white. I wish i could be more descriptive to you but im afraid im not very creative." She frowned slightly thinking about this. Ryleigh then remembered having scared him earlier. "I'm sorry about earlier. I didn't mean to scare you when i touched you. I just thought that would be an easy way to say hello. I've never dealt with a blind wolf before and im not really sure what to do. Though if i may ask, how did you teach yourself to see with vibrations? I know it has its downsides but i find it quite a feat that you managed to do such. I am rather fascinated." Ryleigh say on the ground in front of him. She made sure to thump the ground a little so he would be able to tell she had sat. She then let her tail swish along the ground, dragging the blades of grass with it as it went. She smiled softly, glad that she had someone to speak to this evening and that he hadn't run away yet. Making new friends wasn't always easy for Ry as she tended to be shy.
OOC: Sorry it took so long...school was kicking my butt D; but i should be back regularly now :3

“It’s nothing. I grew up not being able to trust anyone so it have a bad habit of flinching away from others when they touch me.” Rumor said with a cold tone. He wasn’t trying to scare Ry, but his personality wasn’t the best. He was distant and cold to others not trusting many of the wolves. When he thought about the dark past he had, Rumor shook away the awful memories. He smirked when he heard how she was curious about how he had taught himself how to use vibrations to see. “My father taught me the small basics and when I became blind I just taught myself how to use it to my advantages. My earth magic abilities help out a lot that way.” He said. Using vibrations wasn’t a simple thing to do, let alone explain. The grass swayed as the wind blew over it and he could see and feel the rhythmic motion from the earth. It made him relax a bit, but he still had his guard up. Rumor never let his guard down, even while sleeping.

A small wolf pup pounced at a mouse, landing on something sharp. He whimpered and licked at his paw. "Great" He muttered, licking his paw. "Just as the other cut was healing." He slowly put his weight on it and winced. It was deeper than he thought. He licked it again, listening to the wind. Suddenly he tensed, why did he hear talking? He limped through the grass slowly, ears pressed flat against his head. He glanced through the grass and saw two wolves, a male and a female...both larger than him. He shrank to the ground and listened, hoping they would not take notice of the small pup in the grass. The scar on his left front leg was a reminder of getting to close to unknown wolves.

Ryleigh listened as Rumor explained a little about how he had come to have his ability. It was fascinating really, to use ones element to help replace a sense. I don't think the wind would be able to help me much if i were in a situation like that. I can't really think of any sense the wind many be able to help me with if i were to lose it. "That Must of taken a lot of time and patience to learn something like that." Ryleigh watched as he relaxed a little. She wasn't sure what had caused it and she looked around slowly. The only thing really happening was the blowing of the breeze Ryleigh had started. Ry hadn't realized she had started to do that, but that was often the case when she was in new situations. Ryleigh could hear russeling in the distances and perked her ears up slightly. She wasn't sure if what she heard was an animal or another wolf. She closed her eyes and through a gust of wind in the direction of the sound. Maybe she could startle what ever it was out of hiding. Ryleigh didn't think anything vicious would be out here but one could never be quite sure. Ryleigh continued to listen after she had sent the gust to see if an animal made its way from the grass. Ryleigh whispered softly to Rumor and new that he hearing would pick up on it. "Do you hear something or am is my mind playing tricks on me?"

Rumor twitched his ears and looked through the earth. It wasn’t to far away, but there was someone there. The body was small, like a pup in the direction Ry had looked. It was true someone was here spying on them. With a tail flick of annoyance Rumor caused the earth around them to rumble a little. That should have pushed the spying pup out from his hiding place. “Looks likes someone was spying on us.” He said before the pup tumbled out. Rumor especially didn’t like pups. They were always so noisy and annoying. They always wanted to play and got into trouble a lot. Sensing the cuts on the pup’s body, Rumor let out a small sigh. “And he seems to be hurt.” He said out loud. He sometimes hated how Cloud had turned him into such a softy.
