Species Name: "Dakkan"
Information: The Dakkan is a soul bound to a suit of wolven armour for eternity. To create a Dakkan the character in question of 'turning' must be dead, in order to be brought back from the spirit realm as a Dakkan. Sadly, this means you will have to kill a character, to get one.
Appearance: The appearence of this wolven armour is varied, as all armour might be, The only possible similarity is the armour in question is made from fel-iron. The Dakkan can be as varied across the world in appearence, from colour, to size.
Dakkans Can Adapt, However, these are minor things such as claws, facial features, and sensory organs such as eyes, ears, mouth and nose. And in some cases, Metal Fur. With time, the Dakkan in question would eventually adapt to the point of looking similar to its previous self, or how it wants to look.
The Character in question once encased in the armour would not change hieght, however since the armour encases their previous form, there can be an allowence of up to Four inches Taller, And Six inches wider. This is optional.
Other Information- The Dakkan is a Tenacious race, The spirits of the dead are torn from the spirit realm and fused to the body of armour. The Dakkan itself is as easy to break as amour, or a wolf in armour, however over a period of time, it would come back with self repair. This is however a racial spell that lasts either four turns, or half an hour in S.O time. Whilst that is happening the dakkan is unable majorly attack, or cast significant spells.
The Dakkan race tend's to keep the spells they had in the previous life, since they are the same soul but in another form, However, a change in ability isnt frowned upon when its created, it is a new character after all!
The Dakkan race is one shrouded in mystery, little is known about how they came to be, allthough it is definately some form of sorcery many Dakkans do not wish to share with other races.
The single way to make a Dakkan, is to roleplay that charactes death, and then fuse the corpse with the armour at the halls of undeath! (notify the example at the bottom of my thread!)
Commonly Known As: "Dakkan"
Pronunciation: "Dah-Kan"
Average Height: The Average height of a Particular dakkan in question, is the same as the race which has died to create the character.
Average Weight: The average weight of a Dakkan is incredibly Mamothic in comparison to its size. This means No Dakkan can fly, even if the character killed to make the Dakkan could fly previously.
Lifespan: As the Dakkan are already dead, They cannot die, Allthough, if a Dakkan looses the will to live, even for a split moment, his spirit would sever ties with the armour, and dissapate back into the spirit realm.
History: The Dakkan race, beleive it or not, was made in Defence of an anchient (but now non existant) contenant named Asthera.
For in the old ways of Asthera, its rich culture of sorcery and craftsmanship inspired awe in the hearts of their enemies, making them the target of many wars. Eager to defend against such threat, the humble wolves of Asthera created a force of untold riteousness. The "Dakhur" These wolves were not only the elete of their fighting clans, but told of healing knowledge, usefull in battle, be it skill or spells, Both were on the Dakhur agenda. With time Asthera thrived, with untold ferocity in battle. Their numbers barely faltering. In one Battle in particular, The Battle of Kathak peak, The race of paladin wolves were wiped out by a mass spell of untold power. The culture of riteousness and justice plummeted, Asthera had indeed been brought to its knee's.
The sorcerers of the Asthera vowed never to let any force divide and slaughter their paladins, for it would bear them grim tidings once more. Hundreds upon hundreds of wolves gathered together to research into necromancy, for paladins were hard to find and train, a desperate resource in the land. Until finally, one wolf had the answer, He delved into the spirit realm and tore the Dead wolf spirits from the realm of the dead, And forced their souls into suits of armour. A feeble attempt to give the paladins immortality, a way for them to keep a riteous eye over Asthera, Their intent was pure, Their course of action was not. Many a Dakkan was made and stowwed in the Halls of Undeath, which eventualy lead to the extinction of the Astheric race as some Dakkan turned on them one by one. The misery of being brought back from paridise, to the realm of the living to rot for eternity, did not sit well with them. They slaughtered the Astheric race, Much to the protests of the good Dakkan, Diminishing its rich beautifull culture, ethics, morals, magic, people and language For all eternity.... Leaving these rotting metal wolves, whether good or bad natured, to scour the Shinkou Realm
Magics: Dakkan Spells are Mediocre, This is because the spirit in question is trying to stay in the realm of the living, so cant fully concentrate on Large Scale Aggressive spells. There are NO exceptions to this rule. Large area spells, or extremely potent magic is beyond them. For example. My solace couldn't create a barrier around himself made of shadow energy larger than a diameter of two metres.. >>When your everywakingmoment isfocussing on staying bound to the realm of theliving in your armour, you CANNOT do anything too drastic.
All Dakkans Can regenerate with time, However the restriction is that it takes Four posts, Or half an hour S.O Time.
Beliefs: Beleifs are as varied as the race/species/spirit.
However, Dakkans beleive in the Sanctity of their own lives, they may be unable to be killed, but they can be broken. They cherish and love life for one simple reason, They cannot afford not to. It just takes one suicidal thought, or doubt in life, and they will leave their metal body and depart back to the spirit realm.
