Species Name: Farjali Drostan
Pronunciation: Far - yall - ee Dross - tæn
Information: The Farjali Drostan are known for their similarity to rabbits and their often being mistaken for other things. They are remarkably small and have strong, but somewhat lithe builds. They are built for speed and have excellent maneuverability, making them difficult to catch. They do have a weakness in their lack of size but they are also durable due to the fact that all Farjali Drostan are made of a precious metal or gem of sorts.
Note: Farjali Drostan are not only found with bodies similar to wolves. They can take on any form they wish at any time. They will simply be very small versions of the animal they are. (In some cases they will be larger although they usually choose larger mammals such as large felines and canines). They can only take on the form of mammals.
Eating Habits: Farjali Drostan are usually herbivores feeding off of flowers and leaves. They have the ability to eat meat and can also eat some rocks but usually are found eating plants. Meat is more difficult for the species to acquire due to their lack of size, but it is not impossible and when they can acquire it, they enjoy it.
Living Habits: Farjali Drostan are often found in burrows beneath the ground. Occasionally, they live in caves as well but not as often as burrows. The species enjoys moving through the soil and spends most of their time either digging tunnels beneath the surface or eating plants on the surface. When they are on the surface, they enjoy basking in the sunlight and exploring.
Appearance:
Markings: Usually Farjali Drostan have no markings except perhaps a symbol which spans their whole face and represents their element.
Build: The females are far more lithe than the males who have a bit more bulk although both have very similar builds. Also, the males get a bit taller. The species has longer, fluffy ears while the rest of them is very round in form. A defining characteristic is that the species' back legs are a bit larger/longer than their front legs and from the knees down are more wide giving them the appearance of having very large back paws. Also, the species always has very small tails, but never less than two. Their tails are not stubbed but rather round and very fluffy looking.
Pelts: Each Farjali Drostan is made of some kind of precious metal or gem. Therefore, their pelt follows the patterns and colors of that specific quality. For example, a gold Farjali Drostan is purely gold. The Farjali Drostan can be various purities of the gem or metal therefore making them various shades, but having the same general idea.
Wings: Farjali Drostan have small angelic-like wings which hover above their back. When a Farjali Drostan wishes to, these wings will flutter similarly to those of a hummingbird and the species can then hover above the ground. They cannot, however, fly.
Eyes: Their eyes are hollow with glowing orbs following the color of their element if they have one. If not, the orb's color matches that of their pelt.
Heights:
- Males tend to be anywhere from .5-1.3'
- Females can be anywhere from .3-1'
- Partial breeds can be varying heights depending on what other species runs through their blood. This can mean they are only a few inches in height or may reach up to 2'. They can NEVER be greater than 2'.
Weights:
- Males tend to way around 8 - 15 lb
- Female tend to way around 5 - 12lb
May vary according to height.
Breeding: Farjali Drostan breed similarly to rabbits as far as for frequency of ability although they breed about as often as their much bigger counterparts. Farjali Drostan are able to begin [grrr]ual activity at a young age, but it is not extremely common for the females to actually get pregnant.
Farjali Drostan May Breed With: Usually only Farjali Drostans but they can breed with most other mammals as long as they are below the 4' limit.
Personalities: Most Farjali Drostans are easily put on edge and are very alert animals but they are friendly and they often like meeting others. They are not often very aggressive and enjoy days laid back doing nothing.
Lifespan: They live as long as their material does. Usually the Farjali Drostan made of gems will last much longer than those of precious metal.
Magics: They can have any range of magics, but they can only have one. There is no such thing as a Farjali Drostan with more than one element. Also, Farjali Drostans are born with their element. If they are not born with it, they will never get one. Because of their lack in size, more than one element would be a tremendous strain on them. Also, over-usage of their magics causes them to deteriorate their material at a faster rate. The Farjali Drostan love their magics and thus use it sparingly and when necessary so as to enjoy it as long as they can.
Beliefs: The Farjali Drostan do not really believe in anything in particular except for spirits and the belief that spirits are the greatest source of power and wisdom. They believe to encounter a spirit is to be blessed and looked upon in favor. The Farjali Drostan do also believe in higher beings and celestial power, though it does not often show itself.
History: The Farjali Drostan believe that in ages past there was a war of many creatures and as more and more died, the spirits of the dead were searching for new forms so as to take upon the world in a new way. They believe that the spirits wondered the surface and at last went below ground and in mountain caves. There they were enchanted by the beauty of the gems in the rocks and the precious metals which glimmered around them. At first, the spirits possessed these things of beauty and formed new bodies for themselves. Yet after a time, they received celestial blessing and thus these possessed forms became living beings. Over the years, they spanned out across the world to what they are today.
Credits: Anyone can make a Farjali Drostan without asking permission, just make sure you credit me! =)
Please note! If you do want to make one, please notify me by PM they're name and if they're purebred, half, etc.. so I can add them to the list XD Thanks!
