Name: Sabbia Fiore
Nicknames: Sabbi, Sabbs; Rebel Princess
Gender: Female
Age: Around 3 years (young adult)
Race: Wolf/Unspecified
Sub-Race: Shapeshifter
Breed: Half whatever Hawk is, half cave-demon (kolohenki)
Homeland: Shinkou Kolohenki Cave-System (underground the Northern Mountains)
Pack: N/A
Rank: N/A (formerly princess)
Family: Her father is Hawk, her biological mother was Princess Istariel, her adoptive mother is Ammolite. Her grandparents are King Melkior and Queen Valkyrie. Her sister is Princess Kah'verna (aka Kahvi). She has disowned them all.
Appearance: Sabbia Fiore has retained the typical cave-demon ability to change her form, though she is usually much smaller than the average size of the animal whose form she's taken. She changes her appearance frequently, but her favorite forms are the wolf, the golden buckskin mare, the red-tailed hawk, and the water-serpent. As a wolf, she has her father's golden dappled fur except for her legs, tip of the tail, and outlining her ears, which are all black. Her mare has golden-tan hide with black mane, black tail, black lower legs; her hawk is a beautiful bird-of-prey with black-spotted brown wingfeathers, a brown-dotted white underbelly, and vivid red tailfeathers; and her serpent is a long draconic figure covered in blue-green scales, with a pair of pale blue headfins and one tailfin.
Magic: Shapeshifting.
-Spells: She can change her outward appearance to be whatever animal she wishes. She does this frequently, unlike most cave-demons, who stick with one or two appearances. The transformation only takes a few seconds, but it does take a good amount of energy, so she doesn't do it -all- the time.
Skills: She has the natural defenses of whatever animal form she chooses to take. Pure instinct, baby.
Personality: She likes to think of herself as very independent and on-her-own, with the "I don't need anybody, I can take of myself" kind of attitude. She won't say no to company, but she will say no to help. Other than that, she loves exploring and seeing/finding/learning new things. She'll lend a helping hand if she can be bothered, but only if she's asked to. She can seem very tough in some ways, and very childlike in others. She doesn't like to get attached to others, and even if she does, she won't admit it to their faces. A proud, gruff sort, but not seasoned enough to give off that world-weary veteran aura.
History: Sabbia Fiore was born a princess of the cave-demons, alongside her sister Kah'verna (Kahvi). As a pup, she played roughly with her sister and their friends, clearly the tomboy while Kahvi was the spoiled pretty princess. Sabbia's father was not around that often, so she harbored a resentment toward him for his constant absences. She never knew her biological mother, but her adoptive one, Ammolite, was always around. Alternatively, Sabbia disliked the way Ammolite hovered and tried to be in their lives as much as possible. Her parents just couldn't figure out a balance; there was not enough of one and too much of the other.
Likewise, Sabbia hated the constraints of the princess life. Kahvi relished it; she was the true, proper princess. Sabbia hated the lessons and the primping, and just wanted to get away as much as possible. Everyone in her life was hemming her in, and she resented that. So one day, when she and her sister were playing on the Surface, Sabbia ditched Kahvi and ran away. Her grandparents, the cave-demons' monarchs, sent out search parties, but Sabbia avoided them. The only one she could not avoid was Azarak, a sharp little lizard with more magic than he let on.
He found her romping through the Shinkou packlands as a golden buckskin mare and talked to her. She refused to go back, saying that she didn't want to be a princess and just wanted to live her own life. Azarak accepted this, but cautioned her that surviving on her own was not easy. She could handle it, she said. And so he left her alone, returning to the cave-demons' Underground home. He reported that she was taking care of herself, and rumors instantly sprung up that Sabbia had joined the rebel cave-demons, those that hated the monarchs...the King and Queen tried to dispel such rumors, but they spread anyway, and so Sabbia became known as the "Rebel Princess." Even Kahvi became ashamed of her sister.
Sabbia wanders the lands to her enjoyment, exploring land, air, and sea to her heart's content. Occasionally Azarak would catch up with her and give her news on how her family was doing, though she told him she does not care about any of them. She does like her new title, the Rebel Princess, believing that it suits her. She continues on her own, finding her own adventures, surviving independently.
She traveled as far as the Fire Wells, where for personal reasons she became part of a unique lizard tribe that was ruled by an emperor. This emperor fell for her and insisted that she stay. Interested in their lore and secrets, Sabbia took advantage of this attraction to lure him on in order to learn as much as she could about their history. In addition she learned to fight in that form. This life lasted until a large black dragon with a wolf companion came by. They too were seeking secrets of the lizards. The lizards did a fight of champions, and the wolf, Taggerung, squared off against Sabbia, who was the lone volunteer. She lost, somewhat badly, but was more impressed than angry.
While Ero, the dragon, retrieved what he wanted from the emperor, Tagg and Sabbia discovered their connection: Sabbia's father Hawk used to be an Elite alongside Tagg. Intrigued by one another, Tagg "kidnapped" Sabbia from the emperor as soon as Ero was done. They fought their way away from the lizards and now are making their way across the treacherous land of the Fire Wells to pursue Ero's mission. Along the way, Sabbia was joined by Zamaga, a black eagle with golden tips on the wings, who came from her father's line of guardians. Though she resented this kind of "protection," she is learning to deal with it because otherwise the eagle just wouldn't go away.
Though she had joined these two only to start her next leg of her life, she is finding herself becoming mired in old histories of her companions and even her family.
