Name: Rykjudo Æsir Yggdrasil
Gender: Female
Race: Wolf
Sub-Race: Demon
Breed: Druin
Pack: N/A
Rank: N/A
Appearance: Rykjudo is coated in a thick, glorious sheen of very fine, soft, frost-white hairs, complimented by the striking mane of blue running down from her neck to the tip of her long, serpentine tail. The large, plated scales that are typical of any Druin cover her chest, underbelly, and denote the segments of her tail via its underside. These scales are a deep, rich, luxurious sapphire, deepening into a fathomless, dark navy-blue as they traverse towards her impressive tail of over 500 segments. Her mane has a unique coloration, starting on her neck as the same stunning navy-blue that resides on her tail's final scale, eventually lightening to the very sapphire that resides on the first scale of her neck. Her delicate, sensitive nostrils are tinted a cold blue, as are her thick, large paw-pads. The she-Druin's claws are sapphire-colored, and are longer in her hind paws than they are in her front. Rykjudo's eyes, her final yet most precious asset, are a vivid, hypnotizing amber-yellow, adding a royal blue-and-gold contrast to her stunning effect as a whole.
Rykjudo's horns are simple in design, yet nonetheless breathtaking. Their shape is like that of the prized Kudu horn, which was used by ancient human civilizations for medicines. These horns start at sapphire-blue where they are attached to her head, and lighten to an ice-blue as they reach the tips of her fine, strong horns, which point towards the sky. Rykjudo has very long, thin ears that are only inches away from being as tall as her horns, with light ice-blue saturating their inner fur. Like other Pure-bred Druins, her body build is slender and almost dragon-like. She stands on long, elegant legs, which lead down to large paws. And, akin to her Druin race once more, her hind legs are especially strong for making powerful, historical leaps over vast areas.
Rykjudo's wings are gigantic, with a span of about 15 feet. Her wings are unusual, because although they seem birdlike, the feathers are very long and made of the same material as butterfly wings. Because of this, they are very soft and flexible, yet easier to damage. Rykjudo can summon these wings at will, as their size and delicate structure can be a nuisance when not flying. Her wings are a sapphire-navy, with intricate tribal designs of silver and white shades covering many inches of these odd wings. When she uses her wings her tail becomes bird-like with the 'butterfly feathers.' Her tail is just as impressive in this bird-like state as her normal, being just as long as her normal tail and is like a hawk's tail, stiff and able to spread out. This 'flight tail' is also the stunning blue colors, and sports the intricate tribal markings.
Personality: Rykjudo carries herself with a dignified, classy air, holding healthy pride in the fact that she was born a noble Druin. Rykjudo respects the territory and personal space of others, often not prying into situations when they state that they can handle things alone and want to, even when she knows they're lying. She also acknowledges and respects authority, and when given power herself she demands respect in her own calm manner.
Rykjudo, although keeping a sage-like demeanor much of her time, is no stranger to battle, and is not too shabby at fighting. Like most of her refined race, she hones her physical abilities to surpass her magic, as a Druin who relies on their magic is no true Druin at all, so it is said. Although her strength is rather average for her breed, her speed is quick and agile for an 8 foot tall demon. Rykjudo's light weight and wiry, flexible muscles allow her to run far and fast, helpful for outwitting more brutish foes and catching up with prey. She fancies sour apples as a delicacy, and will not hesitate to strip a tree of its fruit should it bear even a single apple.
Rykjudo is audacious and not afraid to speak her mind, even when very well knowing the consequences. When she has something to say, she always makes her voice heard, and will stand up for others when she feels injustice is being done to their side. She's the type that would be classified as a noble guard in battle, unafraid of charging into the fray or losing her life.
Magic: Rykjudo's Spirit allows her to tap into her own energy and utilize it as a weapon. This magic is tiring because it draws on Rykjudo's vitality, and is thus used sparingly.
-Spells: Sacred Maelstrom: Rykjudo spreads her magic outwards from her in a pulse-like formation, which throws most living creatures that are caught in it into confusion. Beings with strong minds can often withstand the initial onsets of insanity and confusion, however, for the weaker-minded, this often causes them to attack their own allies in a crazed rage. The range of this attack is 10 feet upwards and 20 feet outwards, and will occasionally fail. It may also affect allies, and if blundered, Rykjudo herself.
Divine Retribution: Rykjudo focuses her magic power in her long, powerful tail and uses it like an enhanced whip. When it makes contact with the enemy's body, it sends a harmful wave of spiritual energy through their body, which slows down their system. However, the magic does not always kick in when she hits them the first 5-9 times, and if only a small part of their body is touched on any hit, it doesn't work. Essentially, she has to bludgeon the crap out of them countless times.
Wandering Apparition: Rykjudo's ability to see and interact with spirits. She can't speak with them, however, so any onlookers without the ability may think Rykjudo's playing a humorous game of charades with herself when she attempts to communicate with an apparition.
Biography: Legend One- Rebirth of Lamentation It was a glorious spring day, the birth of the Demon progeny to Reyjavik and Æsir. After a long wait, three small, squirming balls of fur lay pressed closely to their mother's warm, nurturing body, tiny mouths latched to her nipples and suckling. The proud Druin father beamed with joy as he nuzzle his mate and watched their beautiful children follow through the motions of new life, the cycle beginning once more. Yes, Æsir vowed that his young ones would forever know freedom under his care, and should the demon wolves come, he would die to defend them and their wonderful mother. Reyjavik tried to ignore her thoughts on their possible fate, knowing very well that a war was going on and that the couple themselves were escaped officers of the Demon army. No, her precious babes would never taste such misfortune! She growled inwardly with a mother's ferocity and resolve, the fire of a protective, loving parent burning brightly within her breast. Oh, if only the closely-bonded pair knew. If only they knew...
As the growth of the Druin pups progressed, they began to show differences and thus, were given their names. The eldest, a bold, diplomatic she-demon, was named Rykjudo, which meant "kitsune" in the Druin tongue. The second, a fiery, protective male, was dubbed Ashura. The third and final child, a quiet yet determined female of noticeable beauty, was named Freyja. The pups, unlike most siblings, seemed to somehow understand their odd predicament and rarely ever argued over trivial matters, rather working together as a unit to resolve their small troubles. They had probably inherited many of their traits from their parents and what they had been trained to be, and were always willing to listen to their mother and father. Reyjavik was grateful for such smart, obedient children, while Æsir was pleased that they worked together on most matters and seemed to be in harmony and synchronization with each other. The Druins grew rapidly, and although the demon family seemed safe in the outskirts of the Shinkou land, the menace was soon to approach.
Back in the Demon's army, they had long found out about the elope and betrayal of their two officers. The general was furious, and mystified on how a demon wolf bred specifically for the purpose of war and slavery would suddenly break off and strike out on their own will. He'd sent many patrols and soldiers out to find them, however, the parent's luck held, long enough for the general to take drastic measures. If they had decided to join with the enemy's army and give them information, the war would be all the more difficult. So, they decided to release a prisoner. This prisoner was a Druin named Lamentation, for his insane blood-lust whenever he even lay eyes upon a living, breathing demon of his own species. As long as Lamentation was blindfolded, he could be lead about like a kitten. The general and a few brave soldiers set out across the borders one foggy, moonlit night, using Lamentation's sense of smell to find the Druins. As they approached closer, the insane Druin killer became more and more excited, to the point where he gave away their position by letting out a long, baying howl. Reyjavik and Æsir almost flew into a frenzy when they scented and heard the demons, each one taking a child and running. Reyjavik held Rykjudo in her mouth by the scruff, and Æsir held Freyja by the scruff and Ashura on his back with his serpentine tail curled around his son to keep him from falling off.
The general was enraged as his quarry fled, releasing Lamentation from his bonds and removing the blindfold. Like a bloodhound, he sped rapidly after his new 'prey', the small group stalking close behind from the shadows. As the crazy demon came within range of the parent's sight, they went all out. Although their sides were heaving and their heads were spinning, they charged on, not stumbling nor faltering as their drive to protect their offspring blazed powerfully within their strong hearts. But alas, they were soon to fall. Lamentation soon had the family cornered, backs pressed up against a cruel wall of rock created by Lamentation's earth powers. Still tenacious and desperate, the parents fought back best they could with their own powers, however were impaired by the fact that their children needed to be protected. As the crazed demon encroached upon his unfortunate victims, claws and fangs bared, the general and his well-trained soldiers noticed the pups. Waiting for the perfect moment to pounce, they watched as Lamentation murdered Reyjavik and Æsir, simultaneously blindfolding and re-binding their prized killer and chaining the pups up as well, for they could not simply carry the now 3-foot tall Druins in their mouths. Struggling and crying the three siblings were beaten into movement, hearts burning with defiance and eyes blinded with tears of fury and hatred.
Legend Two- Land of the Dead The journey to the Demon headquarters took many days of toil and suffering across the sweltering heat of the Hiagaru Wasteland, the winter not cooling this area in the least. The nights were freezing, the days were scorching, and the Druin pups pined for their parents, and even more their freedom. Especially defiant was Ashura, who now considered himself the head of what little family they had left and protector of his two sisters, even though Rykjudo was the eldest. Ignoring the beatings and abuse of the demons, he managed to drag his captors along with him as he stomped ahead the confront the general. The big demon gave a hearty chuckle and told them to release the male, as to accept the challenge Ashura had given. The fight of two demons began.
The fight was rather short, yet bloody, as the general fought the pup. Ashura's Druin heritage was the only thing had allowed him any semblance of a chance, as his size was already 3 feet in his young age. Miraculously, the male Druin was able to draw quite the amount of blood from the general, however, he was many years apart in experience and power. In less than half an hour, Ashura was lying still on the ground, body limp and broken. The sand was stained with blood, reflecting the bloodied maw of the general. Only Freyja's pleading and crying for her brother kept Rykjudo from stepping forth to challenge him herself. Soon, the chains were tugged upon once more, and the sisters were lead away is if nothing had ever happened, not even given the luxury of mourning for the lost soul of Ashura. And in the heart of Rykjudo, contempt and rage simmered at the demons.
Finally, on the sunset of the very day Ashura was killed, they reached the Demon camp. The place was teeming with soldiers and ranked officers of all kinds, some working, but most sleeping or eating. Rykjudo was disgusted at the place, occasionally using her long tail to hide Freyja's eyes from the despicable habits of the males. As the duo's captors tugged them along, presumably to some place where their fate would be decided, Lamentation began to grow restless. The demon general, not taking this as abnormal, ordered that his captives be chained to one of the iron stakes scattered about the camp[these were very strong, as they were created and installed by one of the army's Druin technicians and were made so to prevent Lamentation from escaping] and left to consult his peers concerning the fates of the captives. Rykjudo kept all her focus on Lamentation as the odd Druin began growing more and more restless, which in turn was increasing Freyja and Rykjudo's own fearfulness. The mad beast progressed from jerking his chains to thrashing madly, his head and tail whipping from side to side in a destructive fit of rage. The Druin pups could only growl and shiver in their shackles as Lamentation's agitation worsened. Soon the entire demon camp was on the monster Druin, however, was having quite the time handling the madman. The confusion began working in Rykjudo's favor, however; the demon general, after miscalculating an attack due to fatigue, was crushed by Lamentation's monstrous tail. The corpse rolled near Rykjudo after being tossed aside by the monster Druin, a soft tinkling noise coming from the ring around the dead general's neck. Rykjudo's heart soared at what she saw- her revenge had been taken and her freedom had been granted. Quickly, she broke the key from the thread that bound it and freed herself, then Freyja. Together they dashed, away from the devils and from the killer of their parents- chances were, he would destroy the demons and be destroyed himself by starvation.
Legend Three- Broken Wings [this will be written when I feel like it, cause forced writing produces crap like the end of the last section of Rykjudo's history *points towards lazy Lamentation ending*. XD]
