Name: Lakyri
Gender: Genderless
Age: Unknown (immortal)
Race: Umeidolbra
Sub-Race: N/A
Appearance: Silver-white and with autumnal coloration (brown/yellow/orange), Lakyri looks as mysterious as it really is, its mane and tail luxurious and beautiful, like smooth, natural dreadlocks. Its eyes are large and a deep blue-grey, with a single triangular brownish birthmark beneath its left eye. Perhaps because of its colors, Lakyri enjoys blending in with the fallen leaves of autumn. If you can see it despite that camouflage, that is the closest you will probably get. In the other seasons, it rarely comes out to be seen. Lakyri moves slowly and is physically quite weak, though it is good at moving silently and unseen.
Magic: Element: Psychic (N.B.: Lakyri can only use one spell at a time and affect one person at a time.)
-Spells: Wakeful Dreaming: If Lakyri is close enough, it can bring forth the part of the brain that is normally active during REM sleep and cause dreams/hallucinations to be seen by the victim. Of course it must be able to penetrate the victim's mind, which is not easy if the victim is on guard. And it must be within a close range, so it has to be successful in sneaking up on the victim in order to make it work. It can be sustained for as long as Lakyri's energy holds out. Really, it is only best for confusing the victim momentarily; Lakyri could probably not cause madness with this spell alone.
Sleep Switch: Like the previous spell, if Lakyri is close enough and able to penetrate the victim's mental defenses, it can activate the part of the brain that causes sleep/unconsciousness. It is able to make a victim instantly fall asleep or instantly wake up. It would only use this if it felt truly threatened by the other.
Memory Lock: Like with the previous spells, if Lakyri is close enough and able to penetrate the victim's mental defenses, it can cause the victim to live out a memory. The victim will be completely convinced that the memory is the present. In other words, it's like a real flashback, except that Lakyri can make it last for a long amount of time. This would only be used, again, to confuse the victim, or if the victim requests to go through a memory that he or she cannot remember clearly.
Pleasure/Pain: This requires physical contact; Lakyri must be able to have its feelers in direct contact with the victim. Lakyri can activate one of the brain's centers: either pleasure or pain (not both). Through sheer force of will, Lakyri can make someone undergo the highest of pleasure or the most excruciating of pain. Generally, the victim is unable to move while experiencing these intense sensations. The sensations will cease when either Lakyri runs out of energy or if the contact is severed.
Skills: Stealth; Lakyri is neither fast nor agile, but it can move around undetected, hardly making a sound and virtually invisible, typically blending in with her environment. Like all Umeidolbras, she has an affinity with nature and can see auras and energies of both living and nonliving things. Furthermore, it can communicate through telepathy, though it cannot read thoughts or minds. Although its spells can trigger dreams and memories, Lakyri itself does not know what its victims are seeing.
Personality: Lakyri rarely speaks, even through telepathy. It is a mostly silent, wise being who has powerful psychic spells but will only use them if it or its environment are feeling truly threatened. It seems to commune with nature, being at peace and in total harmony with her home. Lakyri's disposition is typically serene and, because of that, it is mysterious, elusive, an enigma. It is easy to underestimate Lakyri because of its appearance, but it is better to respect it, for it is old and wise, not to mention calm—until provoked.
History: Hard to know, but Lakyri has been living in the Kohai for as long as it has existed. It has seen the territorial wars and never gets involved. To Lakyri, it doesn't matter which pack says it owns the forest. No matter what, it is home.
