Name: Cyaoin
Gender: Genderless
Age: Immortal
Height: 3’ 11’’
Species: Umeidolbra
Sub-Species: N/a
Appearance: Long, thin legs hold the dark-pigmented form of Cyaoin the Umeidolbra. Its main colour is a very deep, almost black in colour, red. Its mane and tail, however, gradually become brighter until they are a variation of magenta. Both of its right limbs bear marks of betrayal, where it was fastened to trees with iron stakes and chains in a sick form of a crucifiction [See biography]. Its most striking feature, other than the pieces of metal in its limbs, are its eyes. They are a striking lime green, which glow intensely in the night. When glowing, this green is so bright, that if you were to come face to face with Cyaoin, it could cause temporary blindness.
Personality: It is very shy and reclusive, though it loves to watch creatures interact with one another. It will only ever show itself if there is a disturbance, as its appearance tends to confuse other creatures. It believes its purpose is to ensure peace wherever it goes, even if that means distracting an aggressor, and giving chase. Cyaoin loves to confuse others, however, and subtly antagonizes creatures about it. It will never let itself get close to another being after its crucifiction, fearing that the same thing will happen once more.
Magic: It has psychic abilities.
Spells:
Unseen guard: Cyaoin focuses its psychic energy and compacts it into a near-solid. This energy creates a force-field like shield which protects it against attacks from other beings. If any kind of magic hits the wall of energy, the shield can collect the traces of magic in each attack, and can convert it into energy which fuels the wall. This can also reflect its surroundings to camouflage it.
Psyball: Just as in the previous spell, Cyaoin compacts its psychic energy into a near-solid. Instead of becoming a shield, however, it creates a ball of energy which can vary in size[though they are usually about the size of marbles]. This energy will be a blackish-purple, and can be used as an attack. When the psyball hits, it can either stun the foe, or it will merge with their own energy. This energy will find its way to the victim’s mind, and will cause fluctuations of pain until the energy from the psyball fades.
False emotion: Cyaoin’s own mind penetrates the mind of another, and enters the part of the mind which stores emotions. It brings forth a state of mind which best fits its own situation. [i.e. bringing forth boredom, or fatigue in another being while it runs from them]
Skills: Due to its light weight, and its thin figure, Cyaoin can creep silently through treetops, and through trees without being noticed. Like all Umeidolbras, it can levitate itself, and other things with its mind.
Biography: Centuries have passed since Cyaoin hatched. It hatched upon the continent of Shinkou, with its mother and siblings. It grew quickly, and was gifted with a loving parent. When it set out on its own, it was very, very elusive. Even the trained eye could hardly see it. One winter, Cyaoin let its guard down for one moment, and was spotted by a drunin femme. Long story short, it became infatuated with this drunin. It would always dwell in the treetops above the drunin’s den. When the female found herself a mate, Cyaoin was mortified. It showed itself to the femme and the male drunin. The male saw it as a threat, and began attacking it. It fled for miles, filled with sorrow and regret. When it finally decided to land, it was in Sunai wetlands. It remained there for years. Eventually, a tribe of rogue demons found the creature, and seeing it as an evil creature, crucified it by driving iron stakes through all of its limbs, hanging it by all of these stakes using chains upon the trees. It waited for centuries for these trees to rot, as any hard movement caused agony to spark within its limbs. What it did not think about was one tree rotting before the other. The tree on its left side fell during a storm, and ripped the stakes from its limbs. Tired of waiting, Cyaoin used a psyball for hours on end, slowly sawing away at the chains and the stakes. Eventually, it freed itself, and began its journey to the rumoured island of Myoujou, where it now resides mainly in Suishou Garden.
