Emperor & Empress-
[/b] Not unlike an alpha pair, the Emperor and Empress are the supreme rulers of Giaku. Their words are law, and anyone that dares to defy them will be rightly punished. Traditionally, it is the duty of the Emperor to lead his forces into war and to oversee his empire. It is he who holds supreme authority. The duty of the Empress is to produce heirs so that the royal line remains secure. However, in the event that a female is heir to the empire, then she will harness the highest authority, even over her own mate.

Citizens
The following ranks are available to all characters that are members of Giaku, which means permission is not required to obtain one.
Presbyter- (Elder)
[/b] All Presbyter wolves should be regarded with respect for it is they who have seen countless wars and bloodshed. They are known for their wisdom and stories. Since they are the most senior members of the empire, they are allowed to retire and live the rest of their life in peace. They do not have to partake in any given jobs offered in Giaku, but they do take it upon themselves to pass on their wisdom to the more young, bold, and brash. A retired wolf may still hold on to his old rank, and may call himself Presbyter-Solidus (Elder-Soldier) or Presbyter-Auscultre (Elder-Scout), to name a few examples. It is very common for a Presbyter to take on an Discipulus (Apprentice).
[/ul]
Magister- (Master)[/b] A rank given exclusively to any wolf that takes on a Discipulus (Apprentice). It is usually a prefix term given to any wolf that is an expert in his employment. For example, if an Auscultre takes a Discipulus to learn the ways of scouting, the Auscultre would demand that the Discipulus call him Magister-Auscultre (Master-Scout). Keep in mind that if a wolf does not have a Discipulus, they cannot be a Magister.
[/ul]
Sicarius- (Assassin)[/b] Though not well known among the citizens of Giaku, this austere and intimidating elite set of agents answer to the Emperor alone. He chooses them for their tremendous skill that sets them apart from everyone else. Where their strength, wit, and cunning are considerable, their ability to linger in the shadows are even greater.
[/ul]
Solidus- (Soldier)[/b] The soldiers are a vast legion that are regarded with respect for their services to the empire. They are protectors, guardians, fighters, warriors, and a police force, and obey the wishes and demands of the empire without some matter of uncertainty crossing their minds. What you do in life will be carried on to eternity.
[/ul]
Auscultre- (Scout)[/b] The most cunning, lithe, and fast are bestowed the rank as Scout. Their duty is to scout the canyons to keep an eagle eye on the horizon, to see if their enemy is moving in. Otherwise, they greet newcomers, usually with suspicion. They obey the orders from the Generals, Emperor, and Empress. They are also given the duty as spies and delivery service from anyone among the High Senate.
[/ul]
Venator- (Hunter)[/b] They rally hunts together and keep food coming daily if they must to keep the nation well fed and growing. The hunters are chosen for their ability to work as a team, and incredible endurance and stamina mentally and physically.
[/ul]
Discipulus- (Apprentice)[/b] Those that have not shown much skill in anything are usually labeled as an apprentice in Giaku, for every wolf must be good at something, and must contribute to their home. Thus, a young wolf might take on a master and learn from his expertise. During a wolf's apprenticeship, he is often called Discipulus with a certain job rank he is learning. For example, he may be called Discipulus-Sicarius (Apprentice-Assassin). It is traditional for a Discipulus to respectfully call his master as Magister-Sicarius (Master-Assassin). If he takes a Presbyter (Elder) as his master, then he will regard him as Presbyter-Magister-Sicarius (Elder Master Assassin).
[/ul]
Pupa- (Pup)[/b] The future of Giaku. If a newborn pup shows signs of illness, deformity, or weakness, they are abandoned or killed. Though cruel, it is necessary to maintain a strong empire if they are to defeat Shinkou Ookami. Pups are ideally immune to the goings on of Giaku until they reach a certain age of maturity; that single point in their lifetime when they must choose what path hey will follow.
[/ul]
Sclavus- (Slave)[/b] Giaku shows no mercy. If someone among their empire conducts treachery, their status instantly lowers them as a slave. They are the ones that supply to the emperor's every whim, as well as his council. They do the most menial of tasks that helps build Giaku. Death or lifelong torment is common.
[/ul]
Novus- (New)[/b] Those new individuals that join Giaku for the first time are called Novus. They are held under high scrutiny and are judged most harshly, for the Novus come from the outside and cannot be trusted until they prove themselves worthy to be among the respected ranks of Giaku's world.
[/ul][/size]
Other
Proditor- (Traitor)
[/b] If there is a rank lower than a slave, it would be traitor. A traitor is a someone that once condoned the empire's cause, but for one reason or another betrayed and abandoned it. To have a title as 'traitor' among a tough nation like Giaku means certain death.
