Name: Kivimetsän (Kivi)
Gender: Female
Race: Wolf
Sub-Race: None.
Breed: Full Blooded Rauroc [Thank you Aveilthé]
Pack: None.
Rank: Non existent.
Appearance: Such an odd creature this beauty might be, or at least she considers herself a beauty. She is quite a lanky creature with limbs thin that are most unusual for her breed. However she does possess those beautiful powerful hind quarters that her race so proudly boasts about. They are the main drive between her lithe body and often her most powerful weapon. In most cases they are the tools that allow her to run away from whatever threat she might face. They work well propelling that little body, just under three feet, at break neck speeds.
While she has a very small body she is not at all suffering from poor nutrition. She is in fairly good health and is actually a little plump, making her a stout little being. This little tart is covered in a very thick coat of bright red fur, making her stick out quite easily amongst the natural earth tones of the world. In fact her long cherry red fur is only put off by the secondary coat lining her back, tail, and underbelly. She in fact looks like a giant piece of candy and often receives comments on such a vibrant appearance.
Her face doesn’t help in her cartoonish features, supplying her with a set of large doll like eyes. Glassy and an oddly monochrome shade of light gray they glare like a pair of plates places on such a bright table cloth. Around these large eyes her features are very rounded, the fur curling around them much like the great curls that run from the top of her head down to the tip of her tail. Right above these eyes are a set of ears that appear pulled straight from a cat’s head. They are abnormally large for her head and give her the appearance of a bat on most occasions. Finally to finish it all off she has a soft muzzle, topped off with a soft pink nose.
Personality: She is a creature of the most timid sorts, but not because she can’t fight for herself. Being the runt of a liter, and most liters from Rauroc decent, she learned to keep her tail down and follow the rules that are placed before him by those who are larger, stronger, and could most likely beat her in any kind of battle. Because of this she can tend to be a bit of a lurker rather then jumping straight into the area of conflict or even interaction. Because of this she will not speak until spoken to and even then taken long moments of silence so that she can think over what she is to say before saying it.
It isn’t that she is not proud, like most Rauroc, it is more or less that she keeps herself under very strict rules. These rules can lead to almost obsessive behaviors. These include a constant retracing of steps, repeating of sentences, and finally nervous twitching. Due to these not being the most attractive qualities she tries her best to hide these mannerisms. Thus making her a bit awkward in social gathering or situations, keeping her far away from pack life of any sort. It would take a lot for someone to put up with this nervous and fidgety little creature.
She is naturally a very motherly creature, much to her advantage. She is known for taking beings weaker then her under her wing, even if she can’t do much for them. This nature supports several other traits such as a naturally sunny and optimistic attitude. It does also breed a natural fear of being undermined in someone’s work. She is a hard worker because of this fear and there isn’t one bit of her that you cannot say she didn’t earn. Of course this can be quite annoying and taxing on most cases and not all are in the mood for her sunny disposition.
One can only expect a trusting nature to come from such a gentle being and your expectations happen to be spot on in this case. She is very trusting and thus feels no need to lie or believe anyone else is. Though she will be the first to admit the world is not all flowers and sunshine she will also admit that the only reason it isn’t is because people in it are not. Oddly enough her curious nature is the most dominant of her personality traits. She often gets herself into predicaments and situations that she doesn’t have no idea how to get out of. However the ever dependent Kivi will not be expecting help from anyone, especially characters she just met.
Magic: She has been possessed by earth since infancy.
Spells: -Identification of foliage -Small Earth-based movement (small rocks, dirt, etc.) -Very limited earth-based healing. (Limited to small wounds)
She can only perform very, very simply earth elemental spells. These simple spells include the location of certain plant materials, moving of small amounts of natural material, and very limited earth-based healing techniques.
Skills: Her only skills come from personality traits.
Biography: Kivimetsän, last name unknown to her as later events will tell, comes from a line of very proud full blooded Raurocs. She was the youngest and smallest of a set of twins. Being a rare occasion her parents looked happily upon their newly gifted children. However soon after birth the differences between the two children was astounding. While the eldest was quite playful and strong the other still had yet to open her small eyes. Obviously the larger of the liter was the chosen heir of the family and the other left simply to fend for herself.
Most puppies do not live past the first week of being left along and she would not have either if not for a small gift bestowed upon her at a young age. Though the smaller of the two she was born with a natural magic, unlike the male had been. This allowed her the gift of forge, something even the smallest infant of an animal could perform. It was the simple gift of attracting and knowing of certain edible plants. This is what kept such a young being alive and what made up her diet for years to follow.
Naturally she was forced to seek food outside of a strict vegetarian diet as her species is made of carnivores. She filled this need by following behind other lone animals, not daring to come near them out of fear they would be unfriendly, and feed off of whatever remains they left for the little pup. This worked quite well, though cold meat never settled quite as well in a young stomach as warm meat did, and got her through several more years of loneliness. Kivi was not made for such conditions, though, and like any other creature of habit she looked for help in her daily routine.
This help came at the hands of a small pack of canines, only about six or seven at the good times. They were neither a group of misfits nor social butterflies of any sort. Most had chosen a life of solitude over the comforts that the hierarchy packs provide. Thus this structure provided nothing more than protection. Kivi was quick to take this offer but more for the sake of companionship. You see she is not the easiest to make friends but one of the best friends a person could make. However a group of rebels was not exactly the best place for her. Though they did give her relationships they were quite complicated.
Kivi soon developed a romantic attachment to one of the males in the group. His name isn’t worth mentioning as the romance stopped just short of her mind. Many of their encounters consisted of brief conversation and nothing more, leading her into falling more deeply in love with him and him to quite plainly ignore her. The relationship lasted, at least in her mind, for several months before fizzling out. The pack soon dissembled due to mere lack of cohesive rule. Once again she was left to fend for herself.
This time being much more prepared she could easily hunt small game and mooch larger game off of even greater predators. In all honesty that has been her life, all fifteen years of it. Though not yet at adulthood she has no where reached the amount of excitement one should have in their life. Maybe that will all change, or perhaps she will be once again exposed to the dull events of a normal canine life. Eating, drinking, running, and surviving.
