Appearance: The unique coloring of this wolf is what first draws the eye. His body is mostly flowing, beautiful white fur, but the top of his head is a deep red (his ears and horns are such a dark red that they almost appear black). The crimson continues down his torso and back in the form of long pointed stripes, almost as if someone had dropped a red paint can on the top of his head and the liquid dribbled down his body—albeit with even spacing between the stripes, in perfect symmetry.

Toward the end, the stripes fade to a light pink and then disappear altogether, so that the entire back half of him is nothing but white. He has a similar pattern going on at the tip of his tail, the dark scarlet splashing down the long draconic tail. It's a deadly look, as if Auster were forever bathed in blood.

Other details: his pupils are red surrounded by a black ring, giving him quite the evil look. He has four horns; two pairs jutting up from behind his ears like scissor blades. His scaled belly and undersides are also plain white, except at his neck, which bears the red stripes. When his wings are conjured (most of the time they aren't), they are fluffy white angelic wings—much like a majestic swan's. The tips are doused in the same red color.

Personality: Like his father, he seems subdued at first, though not to be messed with; his inner strength comes from both his parents. Because of his appearance, he has a tendency to hide in the dark, mysterious, and deadly persona. But his true self is rather soft, the side that his family sees. He will learn to hide and contain any pain he might feel. When speaking to others, he will be brief and gruff.

His virtues include an extraordinary patience; Auster could wait for hours for the perfect kill, could tolerate any drama his family might go through without batting an eye. Once his loyalty is secured, it is forever held. In this sense, he is extremely loyal to his extended family, even in spite of hypocrisy. To him, family comes first, before anything else, and he would be willing to fight and sacrifice himself for them. Certainly he will be one of Lacrimosa's most dedicated knights, willing to die for his cousin. As such, Auster is slow to trust anyone outside of his family; though, again, once it is won, it would take a hell of a lot to lose it.

Which Way the Wind Blows: Auster has a subconscious instinct that might alert him to judge which decision would bring about better fortune; in other words, Auster's just an inherently lucky guy. If it is not strong enough, he might not make the right decision, but generally, between tough choices, he can sense which one will most likely have a better outcome. As a pup, he uses this to win betting games with the other youngsters all the time. In battle, he can make split-second decisions that ideally give him the best possible outcome, though of course luck won't help him win a fight if he's outmatched. It just gives him a slight advantage against those who are matched with him.

Full of Hot Air: Simiarly, Auster can sense when a person is lying almost all of the time, though he has more trouble distinguishing half-truths.

Rush Speed: Auster can temporarily use a burst of wind to charge an enemy at an incredible speed. He can't do this very often, as it would tire him out, but rather he keeps it as a back-up "surprise" move.

Sand in the Eyes: He can use a few little winds to hurl light objects at his opponent, such as dirt or sand, even a few pebbles. Most of the time, Auster uses this is as a distraction method while he attacks.

Cyclone Shield: A powerful defensive ability, similar to his mother's, Auster can conjure up furious winds that can swirl around himself and a few other wolves, who would be safe and undisturbed, as in the eye of a hurricane. He can spread this eye up to twenty feet in diameter, although the bigger the safe spot, the more taxing it is on him. Whatever is in the vicinity will get swept up in the cyclone and used as defense against whoever is outside of it, e.g., rocks, sharp branches, blinding sand, or even water.

If an opponent gets too close to the shield's edge, he or she may also get swept up in the tornado, and it is especially dangerous to fly near it. Auster can only handle so much weight for so much time, however, perhaps half an hour at maximum, if he was really desperate. If someone were to penetrate the shield and start fighting him, he would have to release it in order to fight back, because it requires his full concentration.

Skills: Surprisingly for a Wind element, Auster doesn't like to fly very often. When he does, though, his spirit enhances his ability, making him as deadly to fight in the air as on land, if not more so. But he likes to save his wings and his mad flying skills for when they're needed the most.

Beyond that, Auster isn't too fleet-footed; rather, he lumbers along most of the time, taking it easy—much like the slow and steady turtle who won the race. Because of this, it's a rare surprise to see how elegant and swift he is in the air, or when he uses his Rush Speed spell to attack. But like his patient personality, Auster can take a lot of damage physically before he will buckle; he's a solid rock.

History: Auster and his brother Thanatos were born to the groundbreaking couple, Prince Zephyrus and his mate, the former slave Phobia, of the Giaku pack. Not much has happened to him yet, though as a pup it is already apparent how much he loves his family, including his cousin the Empress Lacrimosa, who isn't too much older than him.
