I don't really understand this... (Spirits)

Hi there! I'm new, I've put up a profile for one new character but I'm curious about the Sho-un and the spirits...I read through the stuff about them, the rules and such, but I'm not sure I completely understand so I have a few questions.

1. Do spirits actually look like wolves to those who can see them? And do they have their own personalities and can act like any other wolf, or are they...I don't know how to explain, but not like wolves I guess?

2. If I were to make a Sho-un, and my friend (who I hope will join this site) makes a spirit to go with my Sho-un, can my character speak out loud to the spirit while the spirit communicates via thoughts? (making my character seem a bit schizo)

Or am I getting this whole spirit/Sho-un thing wrong? xD

1) any creature and shape, but generally they are true energy so I've always pictured them as fat energy balls floating around.

2) Since your wolf is Sho-un, she can communicate with her spirit and also other Sho's. But if your having an rp with just a regular run of the mill wolf who can't her spirits and stuff (it doesnt have to be a Sho-un, thats just a rank amongst the pack), obviously they won't be able to communicate with her.

2. So basically if it's another Sho-un, then it wouldn't look schizo 'cause they would be able to see the spirit too, but if it was a normal wolf without the ability to see the spirits, they'd see a wolf talking to itself?

Yush..unless the rules are changed for Bonded spirits (though I doubt it). But lets go with any Sho/spirit-seer can see the spirit until Wom corrects me XD

Sho-uns are the only ones who can communicate with spirits, but anyone, thing or creature is able to see them(unless a spirit doesn't want to be seen). :3 Just not everyone can talk with them.

Mm, okay I have one more question that my friend also has.

If the Sho-un and Spirit are 'merged' (not bonded) would the Spirit be able to control the Sho-un?
