Named for the raucous screech-like howl they're well known to make, the Rha are demons that behave like wolves. Therefore they are classified as demon wolves. Their appendages are the only thing that sets them apart from a normal wolves, even their muzzles which taper into the shape of a beak. They enjoy living in high altitudes. They are notable for their stunning colors, for many of these bird-like animals contain a unique set of iridescent feathers. They literally shine in the light, and can attract prey to them.

Their forelegs contain beautiful feathers that look like wings, enabling them to fly and glide with finesse. Their tails look reptilian and have 'tail feathers' that can fan out and close, and can even act like a rudder during flight. They are quadrupedal, and are able to use their forelegs with ease with their feathers folded back. Their faces contain a few feathers. A lovely crest of feathers shimmers on their heads, and are able to lift up if they want to appear more threatening, or attract a prey or mate.

Adults have a pair of iridescent horns that can be the same color as their feathers. A couple of serrated spikes jut from their spine. Their eyes have vertical pupils like a cat, usually black. The irises are iridescent as well and can shine different colors in the light, usually giving of the same hues as their feathers.

Males are typically larger and can reach to about 4-5 ft. Females are smaller and average about 3-4 ft. They enjoy living in packs and families together, and there is usually one alpha male and one alpha female. Their structure is the same as a wolf pack's, and they are perfectly capable of living in a normal wolf pack. They are able to howl like a wolf, and snarl like one, too. They have a special "call", that sounds like cross between a roar and a scream, and it is not pleasant to hear. It is a raucous, bitter sound and is meant to sound menacing.

A Rha's personality varies, and usually depends on the families. Rhas can live for about 30-40 years, even longer since they too are born with Spirits. Rhas love magic, and are known to worshiping the elemental Spirits insistently, even the Etanian gods which most do believe in.

A Rha originates in the far east (parallel that to Asia) in the Shinkou Ookami world.

Rhas with a thick, white plumage usually have the Ice element and prefer colder regions, such as the north or in snow-capped mountains.

Those with a black plumage usually have a Spirit of a darker nature, and they prefer the shadows and caves.

Lighter and more colorful feathers indicate that the Rha adorns an earth spirit and prefers more humid climates, such as rainforests.

Feathers that have more of an earth-tone may indicate that the Rha prefers rockier areas. A rock spirit is common.

Orange on a Rha may mean that they are desert animals with a spirit of light or sand.

Feathers with blue may give away that the Rha enjoys living around areas with a lot of water, and may even have a water spirit.

Red means that the Rha is a volcano-dwelling creature. They are more aggressive than the others, and harness the spirit of fire.
