Sho-un and Eremts are special ranks only available to wolves who are members of the Shinkou and Akeru packs. If Sho-un and Eremts leave the pack, they loose their spirits and magic.
When creating a Sho-un character, do not give them any magic. Sho-un do not have magic without their bonded spirit partners. If you create spirit partners for a Sho-un, the spirits need their own profiles listing their magic just like every other character. The spirit's spells then act as the magic that the Sho-un they are bonded to can use.
Sho-un are unique ranks within the Shinkou and Akeru packs, only given to wolves who have no magic abilities what-so-ever because spirits cannot merge with their soul and they show signs of being able to communicate with spirits. Through the bonds that a Sho-un creates with the spirits, they are able to befriend up to two spirits who act as their partners. These bonded spirits can then allow the Sho-un access to their full magic, even without having to merge their souls as other creatures need to do.
Sho-un are unique because, while they cannot merge with a spirit, they are able to "bond" with a spirit. The spirit does not merge with a Sho-un's soul but instead, if there is a bond between a Sho-un and a spirit, the spirit can link with them and allow a Sho-un to use the spirit's type of magic.
A Sho-un can only bond with up to two spirits, but because the two spirits do not share the Sho-un's soul, the spirits are not picky about their types, even if they are of conflicting elements. This allows Sho-un to use magic even if the types conflict with each other. These are the qualities that make Sho-un unique.
Eremt have only been known of in legends in the past and were only thought to be a myth until recently, when wolves within the pack began showing signs similar to those in the stories.
Eremt are pure magic users that excel in using the spells gifted to them. Unlike other wolves, however, Eremt can use more than two different elemental magics even if those elements conflict. Eremt can only have a maximum of six spells total, but can use as many different element types as they choose.
With an Eremt's power however, comes a heavy weakness. Due to the amount of energy it takes to use more than two different elemental magics, Eremt are physically very weak. They have very low stamina and often avoid hunting simply because they cannot keep up with their prey, yet they often require double the amount of food of the average wolf due to their high metabolisms. In the worst case, Eremt are prone to fits similar to asthma attacks and have difficulty breathing when they over exert themselves.
