Was that so? Ea didn't pursue it for now, she didn't want to upset the situation more. Ula face played a flurry of expressions. It was like watching someone who was bipolar. She had to wonder if, perhaps, this recent memory gain would soon overload her mind and cause her to lose consciousness...again.
What a strange transformation. This she-wolf went from being a kind, gentle female to a woman scorn. Besides, hadn't she pushed Gann away? "The way I see it," Darklight spoke finally, "Ula, you drove him away. You have no right to be angry. He even went back and help you after he finally listened to you, albeit the timing was horrible on his part."She walked around the side of the fire, right up to Ula. She lowered her voice. "Unless, there was something other than your hide you were interested in?"
Ea was a bit surprised to hear her sister finally speak. She had made a good point, though. Now it was Ea's turn to watch and wait. Looking for any sign this could turn ugly.

Darklight's proposition was humorous to Ula, she snorted at first and then laughed full out. She couldn't hold it in, just the idea of her having any sort of attraction for Gann was preposterous to her. "Me?! Be interested in him?! You've got to be kidding" She laughed some more, before looking back at Gann who was watching her with an amused smile. "No, if I were to ever find interest in a male he wouldn't be the softhearted, and valiant Gann. No, not Gann."
Ula's words were painful but not in a way that he cared. He felt the same way, Ula's habit of being detached and uncaring just wasn't what he wanted. He also didn't want someone who was so angry all the time. "This is one subject that I have to agree with her on actually. We're just too different."

Darklight shrugged. Can't always be right. "So it seems." Darklight paused a moment. "His timing sucked," She glanced back at Gann, "no offense," then turned back to look into Ula's eyes, "that much is true. Regardless, it was you who told him to leave."
Ea wasn't sure she about where this was going. She was beginning to feel the very edges of light-headedness. Her voice gift hardly ever took energy, but perhaps because she used it so much within the last twenty four hours, it was taking its toll. She hoped she wouldn't have to use it again, and she wasn't sure she could. She may have to call upon her other magic this night, but even that seemed a less than savory idea. If she was already loosing a hold on herself, and it was just from the voice, what would a spell do to her? She could nothing at the moment but wait.

What the gray female had said was true, Ula had told Gann to go away. She didn't have a right to get mad at him, and he had come back when she needed him. But then he had left again... But had she really wanted him to stay? Truth be told she had been starting to grow feelings for Gann, and that had scared her. Is that why I was so angry? But now looking at him, she could honestly say she felt nothing except disappointment and confusion. Disappointment that she had blocked herself away and disappointment that he had left her. Confusion of whether she had made the right decision, confusion as to whether he really wanted to leave in the end, and confusion of whether she had a right to wonder.
"You're right Darklight. I have no right to be angry. I guess I never did..." She smiled at Gann, almost sadly, no emotion leaking into her voice. "Thank you for coming back again Gann. I guess you were always there when I needed you the most." A playful smirk came to her maw. "And for the record, I like the gray too."
Gann had been studying Ea closely out of the corner of his eye, keeping tabs on her through his peripheral. Her eyes kept unfocusing just barely, as if she was trying to stay standing. I wonder how much that voice of hers takes out of her... By now, Gann had realized the white wolfess was using magic to calm them. Though it wasn't very conspicuous, there were times when she spoke that he had realized some emotions were blocked to him. Anger, and sadness. Whatever feeling it had been, she had spoken and it had gone away. But no it seemed that ability had taken its toll on her, he was so lost in thought he almost didn't notice that Ula was talking to him.
"I will always come back when you're in danger. It goes against my principals to let any female suffer. Especially one who would rather hide that for the sake of others." He might have glanced at Ea, his words meant for Ula but as he said them he realized they fit for both of the females. How many times has she given and taken nothing in return...?

Ea looked between Gann and Ula, this time a bit surprised and at the same time happy. For one, she was happy that the argument seemed to be cooling down. She was surprised by that but also that the whole time Gann had been watching her. Not head on, but out of the corner of his eye. The way he was watching her was odd. For some reason she flushed a little, her cheeks turning a light shade of pink. His words were for Ula, but why did they feel directed toward her? And what was the "grey?" Suddenly, the light-headed feeling came over her like a wave and she swayed where she stood. She caught herself and shook her head, trying to clear it.
Ok, so she was just a little proud of herself. Ea had been the one to calm them, but she had finished the fight. Darklight smirked a bit. "By the way, what's the "grey" you keep talking about?" A look of confusion on her face. Darklight looked over at Ea. She didn't look well. All of a sudden she started swaying and she stubbled back. Darklight was by her side in an instant. "Ea? Ea, what's wrong?" She stood next to her sister, using her own body to support her.
Ea looked beside her to suddenly see her sister there. How did she get there so quickly? Realization came over her then. Could she be sick? Was something wrong with her?

Ula grinned mischievously at Darklight. "The gray in my fur. It used to be black until the attack in Giaku. I was lucky the fur grew back at all." She laughed a little, but it quickly died away when she saw Ea sway, just barely managing to catch herself. She yelped in dismay, wishing she knew what to do that would help.
Gann watched in horror as Ea swayed, almost falling before she could right herself. Darklight materialized by her side, instantly asking what was wrong. Gann whimpered, and stepped to her free side, touching her shoulder with her nose. "Ea are you alright...?" Millions of scenarios ran through his head, none of them good, as he thought about all the things that could make her faint. Ea please be okay."

"I...I'll be ok." Ea spoke, a bit exasperated. Her vision was wavering on her. This seemed to be more than just over usage of abilities. The again, perhaps it was just that. She was not used to using so much power in such a sort time span. "I'll just...lie down for a while."
Darklight looked deeply into her sister's eyes, the two colors clouded by a sort of exhaustion. She nodded. "Alright the, come sit by the fire." Darklight walked beside her sister and lead her to a comfortable spot where the fire has armed the stone floor of the cave. Ea lost her footing a moment as she eased herself down, and this time Darklight light caught her and set her down gently.
She had lost strength in her leg for a moment at the though of rest. Her body wanting it faster than she could reach the ground. Her sister had caught her, and she looked up at her and smiled, albeit weakly. Her sister set her down, and Ea law on her side. She spoke again, but her speak was a bit mumbled. "I'm sorry...just really...drained..."

Gann was terrified, he had no idea what was making Ea so exhausted. He whimpered as he watched her struggle to walk the yard to sit by the fire, jumping when she almost fell. He walked a step behind her, giving her gentle nudges of encouragement. Ea what's wrong...? A soft whine escaped him as Ea basically collapsed on her side, the fire's glow casting a golden light on her fur. He laid down on the side where her legs were facing, watching her as she tried to speak. Mumblings being the only thing she was capable of at the moment, her words weren't very coherent or understandable but Gann did catch the word "drained". Could this be a side affect from using too much of her magic..?
The large male whimpered again, worry plain on his face as he looked up at Darklight. "Has she ever done this before?" He prayed that this was just a normal thing that happened when she used her magic a lot, and looking back Gann realized she had used it a lot. Oh Ea, I'm so sorry...
Useless!Worthless! Good-for-nothing! Ula was devastated. She didn't understand why Ea was so weak. Is this my doing? She watched wretchedly as Gann scurried to her aid, though he really didn't do that much since Darklight was already there and taking care of her sister. Still, at least he could move around...
Ula did the only thing she could do at the moment: lay down. She couldn't help, she couldn't move, and truth be told her muscles were spent. However, the sweet numbing embrace of sleep wouldn't come as she laid there, her silver eyes watching the snowy figure by the fire. Ea's side rising and falling with each inhale and exhale, eventually without knowing it Ula's fell into the same rhythm. Ea... Please be okay... A small whine came from the back of her throat, so small she wasn't sure if anyone had heard. She hoped not, whining just wasn't her thing, but just this once the dark wolfess couldn't stop herself.

"I don't know. She hasn't used that much magic within 24 hours before..." She watched her sister a moment, then looked up to see Ula...laying down?! What the hell was she thinking?! Darklight lost her temper. "What in the hell do you think you're doing? This is your fault, you know! If Ea hadn't..." Ea stopped her before she could finish her sentence.
She was beginning to drift into a much wanted sleep, when she heard her sister yelling. Who was she yelling at? She listened a moment. it must be Ula. Gann was right next to her and Darklight wasn't looking at him. She tried to pull herself up, but it didn't work. She spoke anyway. "Darklight. This...is no ones fault...but my own."

Yes it was her fault, Ula could see that and she had even been thinking it before Darklight said anything. But if there was one thing she wouldn't tolerate it was someone blaming her, for anything really, no matter how inconsequential it was. As Darklight flew into her rage, yelling at her and blaming her, the dark female felt her anger rise again. That familiar strength coming back and her mouth beginning to water slightly with the venom that came from the back of her throat. An angry snarl came from her throat as she lifted her head, her silver eyes flashing, but it was quickly cut short when Ea spoke, her voice weak and feeble. It broke Ula's heart when she had fallen, the memory of the snowy figure hitting the ground with a soft thud permanently ingrained in her mind. Ea I'm sorry..!
Gann absentmindedly listened to Darklight's reply, watching Ea as her breathing slowed and evened out as sleep approached. He smiled slightly, just a small curl on the right side of his mouth, but it pleased him that she was finally getting rest. You know... You don't have to be strong and have it together all the time Ea... Let go sometimes... But he would never have the courage to tell her that, he was too scared of her getting angry.
The young male was quickly becoming lost in though when he noticed the look on Darklight's face: sheer fury. Worse, it was directed at Ula. Gann started to stand as the gray female blew up about Ula laying down. He understood that she was stressed out at the moment, but she was was still being a bit irrational. Ula hadn't asked for Ea's help, or anyone's for that matter, and she was still weaker than usual. It wasn't like she was trying to be weak, truth be told Gann knew she probably hated showing how tired she was. However, the reason Ea was weak was because she had healed Ula so in a sense it was Ula's doing that Ea was so tired. Even so, Darklight shouldn't have blown up as she had.
Gann stood, opening his mouth to protest both of the female's behavior. "Now wait a min-" Ea trying to stand and then falling knocked him silent. He gave a broken whimper and instantly moved closer to the snowy figure, touching his nose to the curve of her jaw to encourage her not to give up. When she spoke, his heart throbbed. Her voice was weak and wavered ever so slightly. Ea, just rest...

Ea felt a nose at her jaw. Gann? Such a caring wolf. She was glad that he was there. She was fighting the sleep now, but losing. Had she ever been so tired before? Not in her memory. Too much energy...Even her thoughts were starting to drift together. She opened her eyes, thought they protested heavily. She did all she could to keep the weariness out of her bi-colored eyes, but it was for not. "Please...don't fight...over this."
Ea wasn't using any of the gift in her words, yet she had such a sway over everyone. Darklight almost felt guilty. She dropped her ears, ignoring Ula altogether, and come down to lay in fron of her sister, her nose inches from Ea's. She would not go against her sisters wishes here. Ula was not worth her time.
Through fading vision, she could see everyone around her. Darklights movement from her aggressive stance by Ula, to the now almost submissive one directed at her. She smiled weakly at her, then at Gann when she saw his expression. "Gann...please...do not...worry." She looked to where Ula stood. "Ula...I don't...blame you." That was it. she couldn't stay awake any longer. She slowly, hesitantly, closed her eyes, and the sweet depths of sleep took over her mind.

Gann could see the strain that it put on Ea to speak, and yet she did to break Darklight and Ula up. Gentle Ea, you could stop a hurricane with a glance couldn't you. The young male couldn't keep the small smile from curling on side of his mouth. From his standing point almost over Ea he could see the guilt in the eyes of both of the quarreling females, their shows of bravado quickly melting into drooping ears and shadowed eyes. Gann was actually surprised by Ula's obedience, this was the first time he had known her to ever allow her conscience to be swayed by another. Still, he was glad she did. Glad both of them did actually.
He watched as Ula laid back down and Darklight lowered herself in front of Ea, the two sister's noses almost touching. It was a family moment and Gann needed to be with Ula now anyway. When Ea woke he would be there again. Rest easy Ea. I'll watch over you all while you rest... His paw steps were silent as he padded over to lay down beside Ula. The latter of whom turned to lay her head on his paws. Gann smiled and licked the top of her head before resting his chin on her neck, a clear view of the cave mouth before him.
Ula felt guilty. More than guilty, she felt completely wretched. But it can't be helped now... However, she couldn't completely hide the relief she felt when Ea told her she didn't blame her. However, it was late and Ula was very tired. When Gann laid down beside her, offering his company for the night she quickly obliged. It wasn't long before her breathing evened and she fell into the numbing embrace of sleep.

Ea was out like a light. Darklight looked into her slumbering sister face. For a moment, she saw her mothers face, and a pang of some deep and hidden pain touched her heart. She quickly pushed it away.
She lifted her head when she saw Gann move. He went and lay down with Ula. Darklight tilted her head in an unspoken question. After such a fight, how could they be so comfortable with each other? Perhaps they did have a deep seeded bond.
With one last questioning glance, she turned her gaze to the cave entrance. The tempest still raged, even more so now. The driving snow slicing what at one point was still air. Her feel for weather wasn't as good as Ea's, but this may last a few days. Good thing they had felled the beast when they did. She gazed out into the storm, letting her mind wander.
Some time during her musing, she had laid her head on her paws, and drifted to sleep.

Gann had perhaps been rude by ignoring the questioning looks from Darklight. He could see why she would be appalled by his buddying up with Ula, but it he didn't agree with her and stood firm in that belief. Also, he couldn't stand the sight of Ula by herself, especially when she already felt so terribly.
Soon, Darklight's breathing evened into a steady rhythm and when Gann looked over he saw she had fallen asleep as had her sister. Ula was asleep, Ea was asleep, and Darklight was asleep. He, was bored. He sighed, his breath causing Ula's fur to wave. After a few hours of laying there in complete silence, the large male decided to get something to eat while all the noise and near-fights had died down into peace. He stood, ever so gently allowing Ula's dark head to slide off his front legs and onto the ground, and padded silently over to the caribou carcass. He sat down and slowly ate his fill, taking his time to allow his stomach to fill up so he would eat only as much as he needed to. Using that technique, it took him about a half hour to eat. Good, now just eight more to go before sunrise and about nine before they all wake up. So why can't I be at least a little tired?
Gann flopped down on his side, his back against Ula's side. His breathing eventually fell in with hers, the steady inhale and exhale like a lullaby, working to dull his senses and make his eye lids heavy. His problem of being awake had soon passed. Finally, he too fell into the sweet caressing arms of sleep.

((OCC: hope you don't mind a time jump.))
The next morning...Dawn
Darkligth rose with the faint light that broke through the storm that still raged outside. It had quieted a bit since the night before, but not by much.
Darklight shifted her eyes from the mouth of the cave, to her sister. She was still asleep, and didn't show any signs of waking anytime soon. She grimaced at the thought. She hoped she was ok.
