Character sheet link: www.shinkouookami.com/index.cgi?board=lonewolves&action=display&thread=14831&page=1A loud snarl escaped Chiram's lips has he,somewhat hastily, walked through the Riku fields. He had become agitated by his unknown surroundings. The place was filed with unknown noises and smells, which was to much for this young, but overly powered wolf, to handle. He was used to being in a pack, that is until he got kicked out, or more like an outcast, thanks to the alpha. He didn't truly understand why though? After all, he was simple protecting his rank from the spoiled alphas son,but the packs rules were old, more like ancient in his eyes. The alpha believed in many old ways, but never truly followed them when it came to his own believes.Such as the alphas blood must be honored, even if it was his children and what his children wanted, such as Chiram's rank. Even though being a strong, skillful hunter and fighter, Chiram was somewhat confused at what he should do.He no longer had rules to follow or duties to attend to.He felt useless, but would try to block out that emoticon. After all, this might be the time for him to cut loose and adventure,or whatever there was to do.But for right now he was just hungry, and at that simple thought of food, his stomach growled impatiently at him for food. Chiram, unwillingly, obeyed its commanded and began to search for his awaiting victim. All four of his raptor like claws, which were on both sides of his front paws, tapped the ground.Because of his Demon blood, that lurked deep inside his vines, Chiram was rather tall and stood exactly at 5'.He front canines poked outside of his mouth like fangs, and lastly, but not least, was his raptor like thumbs, making him have six toes on each front paw.Further more was his muscular form, that can intimidate others easily. Finally after sniffing out and finding his prey,Chiram waited patiently for a vulnerable,or weak spot, even though he had the power to kill his prey with one slam of his large body. Finally seeing a open, vulnerable spot, Chiram charged without warning towards his prey and slammed his jaw right into its neck, braking it in the proses.Feeling somewhat pleased with his kill, Chiram lifted up the new dead rabbit in his mouth, while pondering the idea of what boar might have tasted like.

Padding softly into this new place Jinx was weary of who or what she might find. She was sure footed as her pads touched the grass beneath her. The wind was nice and not too over powering where she couldn't scent what was around her. The smells were new to her and she rejoiced in being free in this space. Auds twitched forward and back checking for noises of someone coming upon her. She wasn't hungry and yet the sound of rustling rabbits made her tense with anticipation of the hunt that wasn't there. Jinx's body shifted into a sideways walk as her eyes cast heaven ward. The weather was nice here. She liked the open but the feeling of being alone had her on edge. Even though she had traveled alone before she was still edgy when it came to places where she was exposed. Fighting off the slow paranoia she shook her head from side to side. The world was full of cruelty but she was on guard for the unexpected. That was something she had to learn on her own. Being in a pack and with family there was always somebody watching your back and keeping you safe. Being alone she found she was her only protector. This still didn't quite bother her and she kept her head lowered to her shoulders protecting her neck in case something did happen. With a slow sigh Jinx eased into a lope just to relieve the tension brewing under her skin. Glancing around with blue eyes she took in the area around her.
Such loneliness for such a beautiful place.
Jinx thought about her last few months wondering of what was to become. She had no idea there was so much outside of her own little world that she had been brought up in. Things were far more interesting outside. This brought a pang of sadness. She still missed her mother and father and her family back home. It has been her own choice to leave and she didnt regret it. This is what she had been wanting. A way to find herself and see amazing new things. Of all the beauty...Jinx had no one to share it with. She didn't much care for finding a mate but a friend to share things like this would have eased her. Feeling the stress lower she dropped out of her lope and into a steady trot. Roaming was the only part Jinx liked about being on her own. She was free to go whenever she pleased and go wherever she felt like going. Somehow she had ended up here. Something sparked on the wind and caught in her nose. This was new. It riddled her for a moment as she stopped and lifted her maw. Slightly opening her jaws she sniffed. Something was near.
Sniffing again in the same position Jinx snapped her head into the direction of where it was coming from. Being cautious she thought about this. It could be dangerous. I could get hurt. What is behind that scent. It's nothing I've ever smelt before. Perhaps I could get a closer look and still keep out of the way. Eh it never hurts to take a look around. Jinx rambled on in her head about the risk she was taking. Jinx silently hushed herself and took a few tentative steps forward. She knew if she got into a fight her best move would be to flee. With a slender body she was quick on her paws and had some strength in her to push her faster. She weighed this fact. It wouldn't hurt to at least take a look. Heading toward the scent Jinx kept her body low to the ground as her auds twitched forward and her blue eyes locked on the place ahead of her. Her muscles tensed up beneath her combination fur. Whatever it was she could hear it now moving around. Slowing her pace to a mere crawl Jinx came upon a creature. A low gasp escaped her maw before she could hold it back. She didn't whether to be terrified or to run. Maybe this was a bad idea.

Manegarm padded along through the fields, nose low to the ground as he tracked... something. It had an unfamiliar scent. 'Well, anything has an unfamiliar scent if you avoid everything' thought Manegarm, bitterly. Except one scent, the one he was trying to find. Looking wasn't doing him any favours, but it stopped him dwelling on the past, and kept a faint glow of hope shining in him. 'Hope shines in the dying man' he thought again. 'Why must I keep this up? She's dead, I nearly died, I saw her die, why do I keep searching?'

Chiram, finally getting over the idea of boar, bit into his kill while he continued to walk. The died rabbits skin quickly became torn and shredded in his jaw.Chiram, now just noticing that he had tared up the rabbit, sat down and finally began eating his kill. While doing so, Chiram heard a strange unknown sound. His left ear turned towards the sound, but other then that he completely ignored it.He wasn't interested in anything else at the moment, other then just eating his kill.
After only a few minutes past, Chiram had finished off his meal and his stomach was no longer growling from hunger. Now satisfied, Chiram rouse to his feet and began his travel again.Unsure on what to exactly do, Chiram randomly selected a direction to go, but turned around after a few steps.

Jinx watched as the rabbit was tore to pieces but he didn't even turn when she gasped at what she had stumbled upon to. It was something else...Not wolf or anything she had seen in her life. Then again she was from a small clan a ways away from this place. Tucking her legs she silently folded into a sitting position focusing on her new discovery. This is new...I wonder what will happen when my presence is discovered. It could kill me easy from the way he tore into that rabbit. Jinx held as still as she could. Her breath coming in steady and silent while she watched it. Scenting the air she knew it was male from the testosterone in the air. She was afraid but not as much as she was curious. She knew this would someday be the death of her but it had gotten her this far. It seemed weird to be spying but she didn't care.
As he finished his meal she watched him for a moment thinking of how he seemed normal. Just like a regular wolf. He didn't seem deadly but the way he tore into the skin and finished the rabbit told her that he could be lethal. Her hair stood on end as he turned to go. Jinx rose as quietly as she could to her feet. She wasn't sure if she was going to follow him or not yet. It would be a bother to keep tailing him. She knew what the scent was now and almost what it was capable of. She twitched her ears back and forth thinking. As she took her first cautious step forward she saw him turn. She was completely exposed with nothing to hide her. Her shocked expression was plateded on her face. She hadn't made a sound, at least none she remembered. She pulled her body up to it's fullest height which was not much but still all she had to defend herself against him, it, this thing. She was afraid, but she didn't run.

"Fear..." Muttered Manegarm, picking up the familiar scent. "That scent is familiar. Everywhere I go, everyone I meet. Fear is always there." 'but is it my fear, or their's. Do I even fear anymore? Why would I fear when I have lost everything?' he thought to himself. He sighed, and moved towards the smell. "If it's a hellhound attack, then I will fight the hellhound"

After his few steps of turning back, Chiram had notest that something was out of place.A small coat of black, white, and grey was in his sight of vision, and once he lifted his head up he could clearly see another wolf. However, even though he was slightly curious, he ignored the other wolf and had actually walked right past her.He could tell that the female was scared of his size, height, and appearance, and just because of the shocked expression written on her face, Chiram had simply just past her by.
He did not feel the need to cheer her up, or scare her away, after all, he didn't need anything from her and she didn't look like she wanted to be in a friendly standard, with him at least.Chiram, soon after passing her, tried to automatically forget about the strange female and still continued his walk towards a near by river that he could smell.

Jinx had held her breath as the creature turned toward her. Her whole body rigid and expecting an attack or some kind of warning to get away. Her blue eyes watched him as he turned toward her and then walked right past her. She gave him a moment before her body relaxed and her muscles unkinked themselves from preparing for an attack. Jinx was clearly confused at his behavior. Surely he should have attacked her or even snarled a warning at her. He seemed to not even care for her presence. She was glad and yet curious again as to why he just left. Perhaps he was not as lethal as she had thought. Her maw slightly opened and she almost spoke after him. Instead she shut it and watched him walk away. After a few steps she sat down and cocked her head after him. Something inside her knew she wasn't going to let this go so easily. Hm I wonder whT that was about. He didn't even care I was here. I figured I would either be dead or at least walking away with a few injuries. Maybe he is t as scary as I had thought, though his looks make him appear to be something evil or sinister. Maybe he's not really like that at all. Jinx thought about following him through the woods just to see where he would go but decided to give him space in case she was pressing her luck. Tucking away those thoughts she figured a nice alternate route would do for now. She would allow him to go wherever he was heading and simply take another way there. If he hadn't attacked her maybe she could find out who and what exactly he was. She knew it could be dangerous but she was in no rush to go anywheres. Standing she shook out her fur and turned back the way she had came.
Jinx would back track a few hundred yards and then head I'm the direction she had seem him walk and see if their paths would cross again. This way it did not look like as if she had been following his footsteps to where he was headed. Her slow paced walk would give her time to think. She needed the alone timeto clear her head and figure out if following him would be best. Jinx knew it seemed very odd but anybody who was curious would have found out where he was going and what he might be. She had kept her Imd on fight or flight and all other questions or bravery had been subsided to the back of her head for the moment. She let the Amal breeze caress her coat and knock looks what dirt was there from sitting on the earth. Her auds constantly flickered back and forth to check for sounds that might mean he was the one who was following her, but all was quiet aside from the small animals and rustling of the wind. Her paws touched the ground lightly and her tail was held high with pride although she did not feel that pride within herself at the moment. Her facade was one of focus and attention when her mind was actually reeling. Still back tracking slot Jinx sighed in frustration before looking at the land before her. It was truly a beautifully lonely place. Maybe that's why he is here. He is alone.

Manegarm arrived at the spot where Chiram had been. "Nope, no hellhound. Maybe just a particully fearsome wolf." He sniffed around, picking up another scent, the wolf that had feared. "Then why follow him?" He asked himself. "Curiosity? Enchantment? Either way, it could go badly." He padded after the two of them

Chiram glanced back, making sure that he wasn't being followed. While his eyes picked up nothing alive, other then the birds. His ears told him that there was more then just twitterpated birds. He could hear the sound of small paws hitting the ground and the annoying sound of a squirrel chatting to himself. So many familiar sounds filed the forest, he could hardly tell if there was any other wolves around. But he had something that could help with his little question that was slowly creeping in his head.
Chiram lifted his head up towards the sky, checking to see how long it would take before the sun went down. He could easily tell that the sun was almost ready to set, only a few more hours and the dark night would cover the sky, along with the stars and the moon.Chiram always proffered the night, he could easily hide in the darkness and his most of his powers were only good in the dark or in the shadows.Chiram always felt that he was truly meant to linger in the dark, during the day he would always stick out like a thorn. But at night he was nothing but another shadow, like a monster from a bad dream.
Chiram's raptor like thumbs twitched nervously, scratching the ground lightly.Feeling a slightly tension in the air, Chiram began to move again until he could finally see the river that he was looking for.Feeling more relived at the sight of water, Chiram calmly walked towards the river, until his front paws were in the water. The cold water soothed his sore paws and helped him clear his dry throat.

What am I doing? This is pointless and possibly dangerous. I should be heading away in the opposite direction. Jinx chided herself as she kept moving in the same direction. Her mind conjured up images of the devilish wolf tearing her to pieces. This made her pause in her stride. She gazed at the path ahead of her and thought of her family that she had left. They were great and she missed them now. She missed having someone to watch her back and watching their back when they went away from the pack. It was a lot easier when she lived with them. Jinx sighed a bit before folding her haunches and sitting down upon the earth beneath her. Her tail curled itself around her paws and blue eyes gazed ahead with curiosity and a bit of fear. She wanted to know more but her instincts were getting the best of her. She was born to survive, not mess up and get killed after being alone for so long. Standing, Jinx gave her coat a small shake before pacing a little ways ahead then back. Her head was lowered in defensiveness although it was natural to Jinx carry her head that way. She was sure she wanted to know more but the risk was weighing in on her. This was not something she could wiggle out of and she knew that. He was bulky and strong compared to her small size but she quick on her feet and smart witted. She might stand a small chance against the first attack or two but she would not be able to take down the wolf. If it had been an average wolf Jinx could easily take one on. She was quick on he feet and at strategizing at the last minute.
This is pathetic.
Jinx muttered under her breath to herself. She really had no idea what she was doing. Pacing back a few steps she circled a small spot before sitting again. The sun was on it's way down. Night would fall soon and she had not found a place to rest yet. She was forgetting the rules of being alone and this worried Jinx. If she became sloppy and ignorant she would be killed. This however did not come as an option in her head. She would fight with her will to live if things came to it's worst. The shadows on the ground were becoming extremely long as the sound of night slowly made itself heard over the sunlit music. This was peaceful almost, until she thought of the other wolf out there. Her hair stood up on end as she though of him attacking her while she slept. I won't sleep much tonight Jinx thought as she sighed to herself.
Her mind wandered back to nights under a full moon with her pack. Everyone was there and moon shone bright like a disk in the black sky. The stats were mere pin pricks in an abyss. She remembered her mother coming to sit by her side. The way she had looked Jinx with pride and joy. The alphas took their place at the head of the pack upon a small outcrop of rock by the main den where the Female alpha had given birth to 3 healthy young pups. The night had been bustling with joy and excitement as they were to be brought out of the den for the first time. The ceremony was old in our pack but only the alpha pups got the attention like this. As the night went still the alpha male raised his brawny head and darted the first note. It reverberated low at first then swelled to a mighty howl of triumph. Soon the whole pack was joining in. Jinx had thrown her head back and let the notes of glory flow through her throat and into the night air.
As Jinx came back to her surroundings she could almost still hear her pack howling in the night. The sun was still slowly setting and she knew she was not sleeping tonight, at least not until she knew she could rest easy and for her that meant knowing exactly where the brute would be. She didn't want to move yet. Jinx was content where she was and putting more space between them might give her a better chance at not being heard or seen.

Chiram shook his muzzle dry and turned back the way he came, but as he walked he couldn't help but feel a little curious about the female wolf that he had walk past.Being all alone in the forest was slightly boring to him, and saw the female wolf as entertainment. He was quit curious to see how the female would react if she met him again.Although Chiram respected females most of the time,he couldn't help but want to see how she would react.
Chiram looked up at the night sky and smiled with happiness at its dark color. Finally Chiram could use his magic and even summon his little annoying buddy.Just at the thought of summoning his little friend, Chiram couldn't help but mutter underneath his breath. But with that little mutter, a small shadow appeared in between his shoulders. This shadow was only the size of Chiram's paw and held no threat or danger to anyone.
"Shade." Chiram snarled irritatedly.he had not expected that Shade would appear so suddenly, or that he would chose to appear in between his shoulders, something he would proffer him not to do." Yes,Chiram?" The little shadow replied sarcastically. Chiram couldn't help but sign at his little companions way."When will you ever stop with that attitude of yours?" He asked, almost completely forgetting why he had summoned him.
"When you begin to act like a true demon and stop pestering me with such nuisances." The shadow replied and laid on top of Chiram's head with his hands resting on his cheeks. The shadow chuckled out loud and patted Chiram on the head."So what is it that you want me to do?" Chiram glared upwards at the little shadow that was patting his head."Just point me in the direction towards a near by black, white, and grey female." He replied and patiently waited for shade to make some kind of gesture.
The shadow smirked and pointed straight head."So what are you going to do? Kill her, rip her legs off, pull her jaw apart, or give her a simple hello." The shadow asked and laughed, already knowing the answer.Chiram glanced up at his little friends and began to move towards the direction the shadow had pointed at."Why must you be so cruel?"

(Randomly enter Helgarm and Ietgarm, roaming alone again)
As the twins sniff and snuff through the field, following various scents, they pick up one that smells quite familiar. They smell another wolf of the Akeru pack, and they perk their ears at the thought of interaction. While it may be true they enjoy being alone, they want to help others, and they can't with their simple, underdeveloped communication skills. Helgarm in particular likes getting others to teach themselves, and prides himself for succeeding. Then they notice another scent, one that smells... odd. Possbly dangerous, though they cannot tell for sure. They have had little to fear in their life together, especially since they stopped seeing other wolves as friends. Eventually, they got better, though Ietgarm is still tense around others, besides his brother. After a moment's lull for reflection, they remembered the scent, and began snuffling in its direction again.
(OoC: Wow! Massive jump in logic there... I'd fix it, but I don't remember what I was thinking, heheh... *facepalm*)

Manegarm stopped at the arrival of more scents in the area. "This is just great. More wolves." He sighed, resigning himself to the fact he'd have to talk or fight shortly, and continued following the scents

Jinx's body was relaxed as it lay upon the ground a few feet from where she had been standing. The small brush had made a nice place to lay low and keep out of plain sight of passer bys. Her blue orbs were fixed on the piece of trail in front of her. She wasn't quite thinking nor was she really expecting anything. She wanted to sit here and wait for what might be coming. If that was anything at all. Jinx was getting bored sitting here and yet she did not want to get up. Her senses told her to wait in case the male wolf came back, if he was even wold at all. The wind brushed her fur an the smell of so many things swirled in her nose. She lifted her head and tested it. Another wolf? She couldn't quite tell yet from all the other things going through her head. She pulled her haunches up and sat very still trying to figure out what to do. Jinx flexed her front leg muscles and stood up slowly. Her whole body cautious of what was to come. Feeling that things were ok to move she stepped out of her small hiding spot and into the open. The sun had finally dropped and the night was beginning it's reign.
Jinx's multicolor pelt was brilliant in the moonlight as she turned her head both both ways. What do I do? Hes still out there I know. There's nothing I can do about that. Jinx thought to herself. Placing her paws slowly ahead of her she took a few paces in the direction she had been heading before. This time she wasn't afraid as she had been before. Something about the moon being above her made her feel alive and ready to go. She paused however and thought of going a different way. She was stuck between finding the devilish wolf and going on her path away from him. Cocking her head to the aide she inhaled again deeply. There was more scents. Wolf for sure and yet another...the devilish wolf and another she couldn't quite place. Jinx didn't want a fight nor did she like being stuck where she was without knowing what was going on. She groaned to herself and sat down heavily. This was confusing her. Although she didn't want to stay where she was, she did. Figuring it was her best option she sat there for a moment gazing up at the sky where the night was now holding it's place.
