It was a gorgeous night. It really was. The sky was clear, leaving the moon to shine on the small, sparsely grassed clearing. The bare branches from the surrounding trees brought a certain brisk feel to the autumn evening.
But Frankith couldn't help notice the mosquito breeding grounds on the floor; the dead, orange leaves gathering up dew and whatnot. Actually, it wasn't that he couldn't help noticing, it's just that he hated bugs. As the old, grey grouch limped through the clearing, you could hear his grumbles and mutterings as he trudged through the damp earthen floor, many small insects flying off from the disturbance.

Bored.
Bored. Bored. Bored. Bored.
That one word kept circulating around her mind. She said it forward and backward, in different accents, in different tones and octaves. That word was now officially ingrained in her DNA and genetics. The white wolfess let out a sigh as she flopped over from her back onto her side, kicking of dead leaves and dust. It was going to get cold soon, already it was dropping at night. Soon there would be snow. Her lips pulled up and Zoi smiled. She liked snow.
Caramel dipped tail wagged at the thought. she could run and play, and blend in with her surroundings. Oh yes. She couldn't wait for snow. Back onto her pack and she stared at the sky for a moment. Then...

ooc: Hey z, mind if Raku joins us? He was interested in roleplaying with my Frankith character, and I thought that this would be a good opportunity. (:

Frankith limped through the leaves, starting to get agitated by all the mosquitos flying around him. He quickened his pace to a sort of walking trot; his short, stubby legs gave him an amusing gait. He kept snapping at the air, trying in vain to get rid of the winged pesks. There was no end to his mutterings and curses.
In his growing distress at the unending swarm of mosquitos, the old grey wolf failed to notice the other femme in the clearing. In fact, he was heading straight toward her. In fact, he tripped right over her. The crash landing would not be graceful at all.
"Och! Jeezus, watch it!"

Sarus hopped through the forest delicately, looking around for some kind of escape with her violet iris's. She had been stalking a small rabbit, and half an hour into the hunt she had ended up with it sliding down her maw as she chewwed at it, norishing her hunger for the next day or two maybe. Quite quickly she found it hadn't been worth it as she looked around at where it had fled to. She had no idea where she was, the undergrowth was thicker here, along with the density of the tree's, she gave a quiet mew of dispair as she looked around, her feline form shuddering. Her paws came into contact with a patch of fallen leaves and she noticed it riddled with bugs and creepy crawlies.
Disgust welled up in her throat as she felt the rabbit trying to escape up her throat and she swallowed hard, trying not to vomit. Continueing only a few feet before she had given up and leapt to the nearest tree with a squeel, using her claws to mount it and branch hop as a substitute for using the floor.
"Ew!"
She spat at the ground, something about bugs and the way they moved made the Xarrov's flesh Crawl.
