The wind blew over the hot springs sending the steam that was was rising from the springs straight towards Sanka. He stood still and allowed the steam to pass over him, it was relaxing and worked wonders on a dull coat. He had taken a break from his search for the dakkan Solace and came back to his packs land.
The sun was bright overhead, beating down on the already scorched earth. A geyser not too far from him was going through its steam phase meaning it had recently erupted. he took the chance to sit down and relax, at least he knew that geyser wouldn't blow again for at least 10 minutes.
He scanned the horizon looking fore any sign of movement, but the sun was far to bright for his eyes which were meant for the night. He was completely vulnerable, all he could do was hope that if there was anyone around they would make a lot of noise so he locate them before they realized he was hiding behind the steam. Kauss padded along, panting loudly as he went his black fur absorbing all the sunlight it could manage. The air tasted of sulfur and steam, a combination that dulled his unaccustomed nose and made him all the wearier. He was certain this land was a claimed one, and couldn't remember hearing whether or not the packs in this area were the welcoming type.
Being a wolf of darkness this harshly lit area was alien to him, a fact not helped buy the periodic erupting of geysers. Stopping he gave a irritated shake despite the light breeze the heat was becoming a nuisance it would probably be better to travel by night when the cool air will be more to his liking.
Noticing a decent crop of rocks on the fuzzy horizon he loped onward into a cloud of steam. The moisture settled into his fur cooling him off a bit. "I guess geysers are good for something after all." he said with a laugh, then froze realizing he had spoken out loud. When he heard no sound of alarm or pursuit he carried on chastising himself, silently, for making such noise in unknown territory.

The heat in this place was marvelous! Everything Vivid liked was here. Nearly everything. It seemed to gloomy for her, too dark, even in the bright day that made her flame like pelt blaze, the mix of colours soaking up the warmth from both the sun and the surrounding area. Her slender form slunk through the place, auds flicking back and forth to catch anything she could hear, trying to block out the rushing water when the geysers decided to erupt. After many false alarms from her thinking she'd heard someone her hackles were raised and she was tired. Not physically, but mentally. There was too much strain placed on her trying to listen and watch the whole area around her at once for anything that might of seemed threatening. Suddenly she stopped and held her breath, certain she'd heard a voice. It didn't sound... Harmful, but was it worth taking the chance? Shrugging off her fear and stress she padded forth, calling out softly, trying not to draw too much attention. "H-Hello?" She said uneasily, tail curling up between her legs despite how she yelled mentally at herself not to be afraid. A geyser shot off to her left, startling her and making the she wolf spin around with fangs bared and growing until she realized what it was. "You're such an idiot..." OOC: Man, this sucked. xD Sorry, lol.

Sanka's ears flicked to his left. He thought he heard a sound, a voice in fact. He wasn't fatigued enough for his mind to be playing tricks on him so he decided to go with his instinct and find the source. He scanned the area well before he had to step out from behind the blind spot of the steam that had been concealing him so well. As he stepped out he realized there was a wolf no more than 20 feet away. He knew he had been spotted and cursed at himself for not stepping out more carefully. Since his cover was blown he would have no choice but to confront the dark colored wolf.
His markings were on familiar, and Sanka couldn't pick up his scent over the thick odor of sulfur that hung in the air. "You." he called, his red eyes scanning his foe. "What are you doing in these lands? You are no pack mate of mine."
Sanka had decided before he spoke that taking a stern and commanding tone would be best. A fight could possibly be avoided if his foe thought Sanka would cal for back up. Although a fight would be quite fun. He hadn't fought anyone since his last encounter with Solace, he had been getting rust and out of shape. If it wasn't for his constant wandering Sanka imagined he would have put on 10 pounds by now.

Kauss froze as a wolf appeared from a cloud of steam in front of him was this the voice he had heard moments ago? He didnt want a fight, that was for sure, fights meant injuries and injuries are nothing but trouble, especially since this slightly larger male seemed to be a local and would have the advantage. but he wasnt about to run off either, after all he just wanted some sleep.
Cautiously Kauss lowered his tail to a modest level and drew back his ears in a harmless fashion hoping to appear neutral. Careful to avoid his eyes Kauss replied evenly, "I am just a loner passing through i mean no harm."
Kauss tried to evaluate the stranger's reaction but couldn't tell if the wolf was uneasy or ready to fight. Deciding to be bold he took a couple steps forward. "Interesting territory you have, your pack must be awful strong to survive in such a place." shuffling his feet thoughtfully he continued "i am sorry to intrude but i assure you i am only looking for a stop for the night." he stopped and waited for a reply

Suddenly running didn't sound so bad. Not only was there a loner somewhere in front of her, but a pack wolf as well. Vivid wasn't experienced with packs, but she knew there had to be others somewhere, even if they weren't straight ahead with the two wolves talking. After swallowing back the fear that pulsed through her at the thought of being torn apart by a bunch of angry wolves, she casually - as casually as she could in this situation - stepped out from her makeshift hiding spot, coming out to be between the two, luckily a bit off to the side. Her mind raced, but she finally came to a conclusion that it would be better facing these two then a full pack. As her silver eyes darted back and forth she realized what a bad spot she had. With a blink she stood frozen, body warning her to run at the first chance given. Especially if attacked. Now the heat wasn't so lovely, feeling over heated by the tension and fear, as well as how hot this whole place was. Her pelt felt much like the fire it resembled, and it made her a bit dizzy, as well as the adrenaline racing through her. After a few seconds of standing there she muttered out a quiet "Uh, hey there... I'm just passing through?" Her gaze went from one to the other, feeling quite small between the two males, and completely unsure what to say. Her tail lowered instead of curling up between her legs, head held high, but not enough to take the shine off the pack wolf to her side. With that she simply stood, hoping that nothing broke out.

Sanka listened carefully to his foes response. As far as he could tell all the intruders words were true. Before Sanka even had a chance ask him if he came alone another wolf appeared to his side. He cursed himself again. How could he allow himself to be so easily snuck up on? The normal mist of black shadow energy that he emmited from his body doubled causing him to look larger when in all actuality his shadow anergy was just a mist and could not be solidified. He charged forward, stopping when he was a few feet away from the first intruder.
"Did you bring more into my land??" he asked angered.
He didn't pay attention to the other wolf, it was a shy fae, not someone who would take him on. Up above a cloud had made its way into the path of the sun. Finally Sanka felt more at home. He grinned at hid new environment. Although he would have liked it darker this cloud was a gift from mother nature and he would use it do his advantage. He began charging a shadow ball, he would fire it no matter how his foe answered.

Kauss examined his options quickly the newest arrival was both a blessing and a curse. At first he was relieved the female was not a member of his first encounter's pack however judging by her entrance while it held some string of boldness it was clear she was not prepared to fight.
Suddenly, the larger male advanced all thoughts of diplomacy were gone at this rate there would be a fight no matter what and that was a problem. Just as he was about to reply to his opponent's accusations a shadow from an overhead cloud enveloped the group in a half light the air cooled and ruffled his fur pleasantly. "Perfect!" Kauss thought his orange eyes gleaming "now with the sun dimmed i can use my shadow dance and escape scott free!" his ears and hackles raised defensively, he replied, "Of course not as i said i am just a loner passing through."
If he was going to escape it would have to be now, however glancing at the female he knew he couldnt just leave her alone, like him she would be at a disadvantage in his area especially if the local called for help. Returning to a more neutral stance and regaining his calm expression he slinked over closer to the female, "Now, now lets not get to ahead here it seems to me you have two innocent loners who just happened to stumble upon your area there's no plot here and no harm done, right?" he announced cheerfully nodding at the female

Vivid blinked as the pack wolf seemed to grow larger, wondering if it was just the heat getting to her, or some sort of magic he possessed. The femme's hackles raised more as the pack wolf charged the other loner, relieved when he stopped just a few jumps short. As she listened she huffed, responding in a much harsher voice then she intended, but feeling like she'd got her point across. Even if it angered him. "No, I've come alone. Although I wish I hadn't after running into a wolf such as yourself." Her weary gaze ran between the two, noticing the loner step closer to her, and the femme mimicked his steps, stopping to stand close enough beside him another wolf would not of been able to get through. She didn't know his name or purpose, but for now she trusted him, knowing that he was in the same position she was. For now, they seemed to be on the same side, and that's all she cared about. When the wolf beside her spoke, an aud swiveled to listen to him, still watching the pack wolf. That is until she caught movement beside her, the other wolf nodding his head with a much more relaxed look then she would of allowed in this position. She however nodded, giving a half smile to him awkwardly before looking back to the dark wolf in front of them. "Show us the quickest way out, and we'll be out of your fur. Promise." 'I hope he' She looked to the wolf beside her. 'Agrees to it...'

Sanka paused, holding in his shadow ball for later use. He was stunned, horrified in fact. These wolves truly thought he was fighting for this land. A land where he himself was not born. What a sad thought, to think that his true nature had so long been silenced that now he was as terrifying as a little pack wolf.
He huffed as he sat down throwing a tantrum like a pup. "You guys have got me all wrong," he said menacingly "I don't want to fight you because your on this land. I want to fight you simply because of who YOU are." He said looking at the male wolf who had still not introduced himself. "You, like I, use the power of darkness as a power source. I simply want a match with you. The femme, she can go freely. Just mind you, there are FAR worse wolves than I out there." He said grinning.
He stepped back from the wolf and stretched. He was readying himself for battle. It did not matter whether the wolf agreed or not, he WOULD fight. Or die. It was truly his choice. He suppressed his shadow energy, deciding not to use magic on this wolf until he had seen exactly what he could do.

Kauss cocked his head curiously first he acts all territorial now he wants to play? what a strange one, still this meant he was probably going to have to duke it out with this battle ready male. His muscles rippled with dark energy though he did his best to suppress it, he would not deny the wolf his fight he himself loved a challenge.
"Your a funny one red-eyes." he smirked,"I suppose i can indulge you for a while" once sure he had the other male's full attention he continued, "You heard they lady right? Well if i win our little squabble, you escort us out of this place and well if you win....well you decide."
Then turning to the female he added, "Would you agree to that miss? If not like he said your welcome to go." Grinning enthusiastically he gave a great shake fluffing his fur and loosening his limbs for the fight ahead then strolling forward a bit he asked
"What do you say red-eyes, last wolf standing?"

Vivid was definitely surprised at how the pack wolf had reacted, expecting a fight right away, instead of a challenge, or for him to act like a pup. And she wasn't even involved! Sure, she could walk off as offered, but where was the fun in that? The femme gave a huff and turned her attention to the male beside her, blinking blankly as she looked between the two. The male across from them was right. There probably were worse wolves out here. Giving her more of a reason to stay. But if her... 'Companion' lost the fight, where would that leave her? In as bad of a situation as she was in previously, or perhaps even worse. Uncertain exactly what rank this wolf had in his pack, he could very well easily have her tracked, killed, whatever else if she were to run after, if he didn't escort her out. She doubted he'd lead her out after though. But if the loner beside her won, they possibly had a way out that was relatively safe. Despite what harm the male might come to. Either way, her options were lame. Leave and risk getting killed, or stay and either get a free walk out, or still, killed. She liked the staying option. With a slightly irritated flick of her tail she padded aside, much out of the way before slumping to lay on her stomach, paws crossed under her head. "Yeah, fine." She huffed out, hoping to find some amusement at least in the battle. Oh, why did I come here? OOC: Sorry this was so late. x-x;

Sankas eyes glittered as he readied himself. He grinned wide as he checked out the wolf for weaknesses but he looked quite healthy. He wasn't limping or favoring a side, he looked like a good strong young wolf.
Sanka gave himself one last shake before meeting eyes with his opponent again. "Ready?" he asked.
Before waiting for an answer Sanka charged his foe. He closed the distance between them quickly then suddenly changed direction and ran to the right side of the orange-eyed wolf. He then dropped his weight in an attempt to basically shove the young ones legs from under him.

Kauss huffed surprised he had been half hoping for more time, but his foe's sudden charge made it obvious this was not to be. His opponent was certainly larger than Kauss but he had never relied much on sheer force anyway, when the red-eyed wolf shoved at his legs Kauss did his best to follow through rolling over his opponent's back and landing ungracefully behind him. "Wow that actually worked!" he chuckled, using his new position to his advantage he charged at the other male as if to mimic his foes previous move at the last moment he leaped over his back skidding to a stop he turned face to face again grinning broadly
He knew it was dumb surely he should have used the opportunity to attack, by the looks of the other male this would be a serious fight. But he just couldn't help but have some fun with it. To Kauss despite the dangerous rules and immediate risk it was just another game to be played and solved. Somehow though he didn;t think the other male would agree.

Vivid watched from the side lines but hardly pay any attention to the fight, her attention split more toward making sure no other wolves were around. With the sounds of the two and the smell of nothing but sulfur, it was harder then she liked. The way she saw it, was that she was still in the pack land. The brute that held a position was... Well, nice enough, but what about the others? Surely even with the dark wolf here, they would do something on their own, not caring what he said. With the dark pack male being starting a fight, she now doubted he held any high position. Why would he throw himself into a unneeded battle if he was? Either way the day seemed to melt under her paws, figuring she was safe enough she let her eyes fall closed for a few short minutes, opening them to watch the two the odd time. OOC: I'm sorry! x.x I was out all day.
