Things always had a funny way of happening. One moment he was there, minding his own business with wolfess he had deemed a close friend. Sure she rambled a lot, made odd connections to things...slept like a bird, but she was a friend none the less. She entertained him and he in turn protected her. Anyways, one moment he was there, the next he was fighting and then being chased by the losers mismatched pack which forced him into the rushing rapids of the river. The result: he was hopelessly and utterly lost.
Fuoco st on the rivers edge looking around. His fur was plastered down with water, the deep maroon color that covered his pelt almost looked black. Steam steadily rose from him as his body tried to dry itself off. It was windy so he wasn't exactly thrilled with being chilly. So he sat their glaring around. It was everything elses fault at this point.
He shivered as he let out a devious snort. He needed to get back to his own place. He could smell other wolves around here. And from past experience he knew outright: Him and others did not play well together.

Could it really be that the Alpha had finally stepped down from his throne to give it to his daughter? Indeed it had happened and it had seemed a wise choice for now. Ciryatan had grown into an adept wolfess able to handle most things thrown her way. Politics, aggressors, the random raids from the various hostile beasts that inhabited the Fires Wells, and the occasional loner. Ciryatan was currently roaming the Nikko Savannah, thinking of the political points of the Fire Wells, who to keep around and trust and who to weed out and cast away from power. Most of the wolves in power during her fathers reign were respectable and trustworthy. Yet there were a few that had a problem with Ciryatan ascending to the throne. Those wolves were proved wrong when she displayed both some of her fighting skills and a lot of her political will.
Ciryatan glanced up from her current thoughts to find the river close to her. Had she really traveled this far in such a short time? It appeared she had, and that she would have another problem to deal with as an unknown wolf sat on the rivers edge, faint wisps of steam curling off his dark fur. Ciryatan raised her black and white striped ears, placed her stocking colored legs forward and came up to the stranger. Her maw parted as mismatched eyes gave him a chilled look of a ruler far to occupied to deal with another problem. "Hello my friend" She started out casually, though something in her tone suggested she wasn't really into a conversation. "May I ask what has brought you to the Fire Wells?" She didn't sit, nor did she cock her head like she used to. Instead she raised herself higher in a dominant position while waiting for the wolf to speak.

He had been watching the water churn, trying to get his temperature back up. When he heard the voice his ear twitched and he turned to look at the other. Friend? He looked up the wolfess, noting how high she held her head and tried to push off a sense of authority. He was guessing, for as young as she was, she was only trying to show off. All the same, he didn't care. He lifted a brow as she inquired to how it was he got here.
He looked toward the river for a moment, then back to her, 'A little birdie dropped my sorry ass off on the way to Happy Land.' Oh he didn't give a shit if he was sarcastic. It was who he was and being as irritated as he was, he felt he was allowed to be. 'Did the Little Birdie do the same to you too?'

At first Ciryatan had no clue how to respond to his words. Her maw parted as her brows raised with disbelief. Sure, Ciry had her own share of annoyances but usually they were dimwitted and not of the sarcastic sort. Most of the Fire Wells pack kept thier manners around her. This display brought both shock and a slight irritation. "Assuming you have no clue who you are speaking to, I guess I'll just let that go for now" She flicked her tail, acting like she had never been surprised by him.
She started to walk closer, to saunter as if he bored her. Her brain had taken a moment to react and now that it did she decided that she didn't like his attitude. "Now, either you are going to tell me your name, or your going to get out of my lands" She bared her teeth, her diplomatic strategy gone with the wolf's ignorant sarcasm. "Wolves like you are just detestable" She sniffed at him while moving to the water as if he bored her already. Ciryatan was a young leader and perhaps she was being a bit vain, yet she wanted to make the wolf feel stupid, as he had made her feel.

Fuoco couldn't help but roll his eyes. Well duh he didn't know her. He had never stepped foot in these lands. Not because he was never curious, but the sulfur around the parts always seemed to singe the hairs right out of his nose. He watched her carefully, not afraid per se, but well, he wasn't going to be stupid and turn his back on her. He was still cold damnit and he wanted to warm up. Then came the barking orders and Fuoco had to snort.
'I have no intention of staying here. Packlands in my opinion are over rated and the members usually re only trying to protect a figure they can worship till the next idiot comes along.' He shifted, shaking some of his fur of the water. 'I'm only needing a moments rest after being so lovingly dumped into your water and floating down stream like a piece of drift wood.' He sniffed the air then looked back at her, 'Why? Princess afraid Im going to try and steal her throne?'

Suddenly Ciry regretted even walking this way. Why couldn't he have drifted further down the river like the driftwood he looked like? Irritation won through her mask and her teeth flashed making the dark crimson line that ran from the tip of her nose to her tail scrunch up. A young ruler she was, making it uncomfortable and hard sometimes to trust the words of others. "Still your tongue!" She threatened him with a growl. "You are in my land, whether you wanted to be here or not, and I will NOT take your disrespect kindly you wet rat" She snarled at him. The hair was rising on the back of her neck and she took a step forward. "You couldn't steal my throne even if I had two legs" She raised her head up, glaring down with her mis-matched eyes and giving Fuoco a heated look. Ciryatan wanted so badly to be the leader her father wanted her to be that any insult to that was like an arrow to her heart.
If Fuoco was looking for a fight than he was going to get one. The female was already irritated by a fellow packmate from earlier, and with this loner trying to be a smart ass in her lands it didn't help her patience. The young female stared at the wolf, wishing he would just burst into flames that always seemed to accompany the land. Perhaps he could become some sort of ornament, if only she could light him on fire.

Well someone was touchy. Fuoco looked at her, studying her patiently for a moment. His fur had originally began to stand up along his spine, preparing for an attack. But he quickly calmed and the dark fur fell flat and went back to steaming as it dried. 'Chill your fires, Lady.' He stated, quietly. "If I wanted to fight I would have went out looking for one, not sitting here on my duff waiting for it to find me.'
He glanced around the immediate area before looking back at her. 'You have nothing to prove to me. If you're as high up as you think you are, then proving to a wanderer will do nothing to you.' He shifted, moving around to scratch an ear before shifting and settling down again. 'A rule you should probably learn is not to rule with emotions. Emotions get you funny places. Like how I got here.' He shrugged her shoulders, 'And Im dying to leave no worries. But when Im wet like I am its hard for me to move. The moment my ass is dry I'll be out of here and out of your fur.' And he didn't plan on staying a minute longer.

She frowned as he spoke not liking that his words made sense to her. Why was it that seemed to have lost her mind when she walked up to this wolf? She didn't like it and for that reason she didn't like him. Sitting down infront of him she continued to glare at him. "Good' She merely said to him while looking away from him. Her gaze brought her to the other side of the river where her thoughts went to her sister Crona. The wolf loved to come to the river, yet she couldn't go alone in fear of her drowing. Her sister was so young in her mind. Her childlike behavior hadn't seemed to improve. Yet as Ciry thought of it she was absolutely certain that she didn't care that Crona was that way. As long as Ciry was leader she would have a place.
Thoughts drifted away from families and back to present as she caught herself staring at the river. She glanced back at the wolf beside her, glaring at him as if he had done something while she was gazing at the river. "Tell me your name" Her words were soft but she didn't stop glaring at him. It was doubtful that she would leave until he did. So in the mean time she would manage a little small talk, perhaps irritate the wolf long enough so he'd leave sooner.

He must have struck some kind of chord with her because she calmed instantly. He watched as she sat, glared at him, then went to look toward the river. Black gaze was left on her for a moment before he too went back to looking around. The lands weren't his home, nor would he ever claim them to be. Nor was he going to call this wolf next to him a friend. She was new, that much was evident as she wasn't sure how to hold herself. No mtter, she started screwing with him so he fought right back.
Long silence passed and he felt his eyes growing heavy. and it wasn't long before they were closed. He was almost to sleep (sitting up even) when she asked her question. His eyes opened and he looked to her. She was much quieter in demanding his name and he debated whether or not he should answer. 'Fuoco.' He stated simply, 'And you are?' He was gearing toward Princess Pain in the Ass, but didn't dare voice that opinion.

She glanced at him as he gave his name and asked for hers. Fuoco. It was an interesting name but she didn't think to much into it. He would be gone, no need to wonder about him or his name. "Ciryatan" She gave to him in the same tone as he gave to her. She was silent again, and this time she sank down to rest on her belly. If he wasn't going to fight then fine, she wasn't going to bother to even try and act threatened. It was almost peaceful at the moment, both just sitting quietly without talking or annoying eachother. Ciryatan almost forgot he was there if it hadn't been for the impatient want to be completly alone. "Are you dry yet or are you waiting for something more?" She asked in a soft yet bored tone.
The young leader was bored with him and even though she wasn't usually so prissy something about him just made her want to act like a little brat. She turned her head to glare some more at the wolf.

Neither wanted a fight so neither bothered to pretend to be territorial. He could have had the stick up his butt and egged her on, but the truth was he knew he wouldn't be able to win a match. He was too soaked and too tired from floating down the river quite a ways away. She got comfortable and he stayed where he was, encouraging that internal flame to boost up bit by bit. Then she broke the silence and he looked down at her. She was glaring again but he shouldn't have been surprised.
He looked down at his fur then back to her, 'Not quite dry.' He stated with a shrug, 'Its a process I can't rush all that much.' Another shrug. 'You don't have to stay. If you want I can leave a piddle trail for you so you know when I left and which direction I left in.'

She cocked an ear in his direction, a barking laugh escaping her maw. She looked over at him with a raised eyebrow. "You'd do that for me?" She asked sarcastically before looking oever his fur. She snorted to herself. "It looks dry enough" She shrugged at him before moving to her feet. She gave a stretch before walking over to the water and daintily lowering her muzzle into the water. The young female took a long drink before turning back to Fuoco. "How did you get here, really" She seemed genuinely interested as she turned curious orbs on him. He looked like a strong wolf, how had the river taken him? Was he stupid enough to travel far enough into the river to be swept away? Ciry hoped not, or her opinion of him would become even less than it was now.

She thought it funny and that amused him. Would he do it for her? Oh yes he would. His tail flickered and he looked at her. At her question he sighed, 'The rapids carried me off.' He gave a small shrug, 'Im in the Bad Lands so to speak. Many loners like to form packs and lay claim to random bits of land. They never last. Long story short, I got into a tiff with one, they all ganged up. I'm not stupid so I ran, go in the water, lost my footing and the next thing I know Im waking up here to your gracious lands.' He looked at her, 'If that doesnt sound romantic enough then think its because Angels dropped me off in order to grace you with my unyielding presence.'

His story was recieved quietly with patient ears. So he had been run into her land and he simply wanted to leave. But hadn't he been saying that all along? She chose to ignore him then, his romtantic comment falling on deaf ears as she thought of all the unfortunate wolves without a home or place to be safe. She had heard of the bands of wolves forming together but none of them had ventured near enough to challenge the Fire Wells. Was Fouco among those who had no home, no place to go for comfort? She glanced at him again and quickly came to a decision. He was not and she would not make a fool out of herself by asking him to stay. He would only cause problems and hassle the rest of the pack as he was her. "Where will you go?" They were empty questions, no use trying to get to know someone who would leave.
Besides Ciryatan had more things to worry about that a stupid male wolf lost in the world. Like Crona and the pack. Sometimes her duties made her want to cringe. Running the pack had been a daunting vision but it seemed that with the help of her father she had been able to pull through.

Where would he go? Fuoco had to blink at that question. No one had really ever asked him that before. Then gain he never stayed so long in pack lands before. He gave a sniff, inhaling snot. Augh, he better not be getting sick of that retarded river trip. 'I go back to where I feel comfortable.' He gave a shrug, 'I actually have..' well how the hell did he put this without it sounding romantic? Him and Fyra were anything but that. He liked her, even if she was literally nuts, 'A friend who seems to attract trouble a lot.' They saw her as vulnerable when in reality she wasn't. She could kick their asses if she felt the need to and that wasn't often.
Now he couldn't help but smile, 'You gonna miss me?' Egotistical much? OH yes.
