White paws padded tenderly across the browning grass as though afraid to disturb what lay beneath. Tip-toeing may not have been the manliest thing to do, but Marvel always paid his dearest respects for the dead, especially those who had died fighting for what they believed in. Supposedly, a great battle took place here long ago. This made the celestial wolf feel as though he should treat the grounds like they were sacred.
Although the weather was turning chilly, brilliant poppies still sprouted here and there. Their vivid hues of red were thrilling to the brute. He liked to think that these deceased lived on through the flowers, pouring their blood, which was essentially a life-force, into the poppies, which gave them their brilliant hue.
But, even Marvel could be a bit daft and dreamy.
He padded over to a small group of the flowers and put his maw just close enough so that the tender petals tickled his snout, and then he inhaled softly. A happy sigh crept past his lips as he exhaled, his eyes closing in bliss.
Ah, the simple things.
He rose, his body giving way to a lazy stretch. Although it was a brisk day, his coat kept him cozy. For just a moment, he wished his fur was black so he could absorb even more heat. Yet, the thought was quickly dismissed. He wouldn't trade his pure white fur for anything. Besides, a celestial wolf with dark fur was almost unheard of.
He ruffled his wings as he finished he stretch and paused a moment to look around. He could almost feel another presence, but whether it was living or dead, he knew not. He believed quite strongly in his ability to communicate and interact with those now gone from our realm, and enjoyed any opportunity to do so. This was a part of why he had chosen Shinsei for the day.
"Hello?"
His sweet voice called out in a curious tone. Would someone join him today?

The night before she had landed softly on the ground, her paws welcoming the soft ground and tiredness griping her, her wings flowed away in the wind as she settled down. Something about this place kind of frightened Riya, she was only a small wolf, only two feet tall, and she was still growing. She glanced around herself, her fur rising. Darkness was hungry claws, gripping it's coldness around her. She shut her eyes shut, curling into a ball, tears threatening to spill out. She hated being alone, she didn't want to be alone anymore. I want someone to need me! I want to be wanted! I don't want to be alone! She screamed in her mind, curling into a tighter ball. The wind carried eerie voice, shooting over her. She tried to ignore them, trying to get to sleep, but she couldn't.
The cries from wolves from everywhere in the moonlight, sad howls filling the chilly night air. She shivered, though she wasn't that cold, it was the fear that drove her adrenline on high. Get away! Please let me sleep! She pleaded, hearing paw steps behind her, she couldn't take it anymore, standing up and zipping away till she was too tired to move. She hadn't gone far, collapsing. She hated feeling like there were no others like her, she was a freak.
Rina has seen other wolves with wings, but hers were different, they flowed away in the wind. Her wings made her over tired, she burned the fuel from food like no other. She could never escape, even though she was gifted with these wings, they seemed to trap her to the ground. Finally, the edge of sleep washed over her, bringing her to a dreamless sleep.
"Hello?" Her eyes shot open, that was too close for her comfort. Though, the voice was curious, not hurtful. Rina slowly lifted her head, glancing around her, it wasn't long before she laid eyes and a white wolf. She was awestruck with his beauty. She didn't want to move, as if she would scare away the angel. Her heart squeezed in pain and longing, did I die? Though she doubted it. She stood carefully, her bones screaming against her.
The small she-wolf wanted so badly to answer, but she was cautious. Rina stepped forward with cautious pays, looking over the wolf. He didn't look mean, maybe he would be someone good to speak with? She stepped forward, tilting her head, then finally she said, "Hello..." But it came out as a whisper and she lowered her eyes to the ground and decided to be a little louder as she neared the wolf, surely he could see her now? What would he think of her? She was a black wolf with a white head, she had brilliant orange tuft on her head and her whole tail was orange, and don't forget the strange foreign orange markings all over her. "H-Hello." She stuttered, but it was louder this time, her eyes landed on the other wolf's, she hoped she had made a good decision, not the worst mistake of her life. Marvel paused, his ears swiveling to and fro. He could have sworn that he had heard footsteps. His piercing orbs scanned the area, inspecting his surroundings. And then, he heard something whisper. Sure enough, he had company. Although he could not understand what the other was saying, he could hear the soft hiss accompanied by an exhale.
Then, more footsteps.
Marvel struggled to remain still. He could see exceptionally well in the dark, but his eyes had not yet adjusted well enough to make out the specifics of his area.
Finally, a small squeak and stutter arose from the ground, and his eyes locked with a fae's. She appeared frightened and hesitant, as though she was afraid that he was going to harm her.A small smile crept across his maw at the thought. He? Hurt another living thing without reason? He doubted that was even possible.
"Hello, there. How are you this evening?"
He took a single step forward, but kept his tail low and his ears back, so as not to alarm her. He did not wish to establish dominance, so aggressive posture was not needed either. In fact, aside from his celestial looks, he looked like an ordinary, friendly brute. Yet, the fact that she was afraid could not escape him. Why would anyone be afraid of him? Not that Marvel thought highly of himself, but he was not a scary-looking wolf. And, from what he could tell, he did sound scary either.
Now that he was closer, he could clearly see her bodice. He glanced at it momentarily, curious about her markings. He then respectfully locked eyes with her again. He had never seen a wolf or wolfess with such odd markings. Of course, he had nothing interesting about him aside from his pure-white fur. For a moment, a bit of envy flooded his skull. He wished that he had some kind of interesting mark. But the thought quickly dissipated and envy was replaced with a yearning to calm the fae down. He did not like it when others were afraid of him. Unless, of course, he wished them to be. But that was only when he was fending off some horrible, pathetic excuse for a being. Otherwise, he wanted to be liked.
The next thing that caught his attention were her wings. Ah, so she was a winged beast as well! He wondered about her flying skills, unaware that her wings actually hindered her. Yes, they did look a bit big for her body, but she could still be growing into them. Marvel had forgotten about his own wings until that moment. He turned his head to examine the white wings pressed firmly to his back. He began unfolding them, and turned back to the fae. A soft sigh escaped his lips, for he so dearly loves stretching his wings. He arched his back, and his wings extended fully. From tip to tip, his wing-span was quite large, ending at around 8 1/2 feet.
He smiled at her invitingly, and folded them back again. But he did not press them to his back. No, he let them sit naturally. Perhaps, by showing her that he, too, had wings would make her more comfortable?

His voice again, she closed her eyes briefly, focusing on the sweet, gentleness of it. His tone told her that he would not hurt her, she allowed the feeling of safety and secureness wash over her. She sighed, but opened her eyes just as quickly as she had closed them. Her bright eyes searched him, pondering his question. She stood for a couple moments, tiredness as overwhelmed her, she wanted to crawl up and go back to sleep.
But she couldn't, not with the howling. She suppressed a shiver. Rina remembered a time when she wasn't alone like this. Every night her mother had slept by her side, and everyday she would have her mother at her side. She would play with her mother, running through golden fields of grass. Rina was so small then, her mother could never catch her.
Though, as clear as those were to her, the day of her mother's death was as bright in her mind as it was the day it had happened. She forced herself to stay calm, her eyes dry and her face impassive. She allowed a few moments to pass by before she had answered the wolf's question. She padded the ground then noticed something, he had taken a step forward. Was he tired of waiting? She thought to herself, but then shook the thought away, he probably had when she had closed her eyes.
From what she had recently learned, the posture that he was taking was non-threatening, his ears back. He almost looked playful. To see such a large wolf like this wanted to make her laugh, but she didn't because laughter sounded like betrayal to her mother, she would probably never laugh again.
She could see that he had noticed her peculiar markings, only the orange ones had recently shown up when she her wings had. She did have to admit, she did look really weird with her markings. Was that envy she caught in his eye? Rina didn't have time to ponder that, he already had pushed the thought away. Rina took her time to look over the male, his fur was pure white, with those wings! He looked like an angel, could he be one? Was that why he sounded so nice? Is she dead and he came here to collect her? Maybe she really did die the night her mother did, and meeting with that other wolfess was really just another angel, and they are trying to keep her thinking that she was alive, but now they have given up and are telling her its time to go... home.
Home... She repeated, did she have a home? Will she ever have a home? Or will she be forced to walk alone wandering for the rest of her life alone? She thought of her angel theory and thought it was silly, of course it couldn't happen, right? She almost gasped as his movement pulled her out of her mind, he was stretching his magnificent wings.
Even though he was male, he was beautiful. A quick string of jealousy tightened around her, but she quickly cut it and threw it away. Why should she be jealous? No wolf would be interested in her, even if she was pure white, she was far too small. She realized again, once more that she had not answered his question. She breathed in slowly, her voice was soft, gentle, yet hesitant.
"Hello," She dipped her head, her heart beating quickly but she forced herself to stay calm. "I am doing fine, might I ask, who are you?" Rina wasn't one to converse, or to talk much, but since she met the other wolfess she has become some-what better. Rina looked over him again, why was he here? ((OOC: ^^;; sorry if I wasn't clear, her bio is right here: Linky There, she doesn't have wings 24/7, but when she wants to fly the come to her in feathers then form wings, sorry >.<; I will post soon, I am a little busy right now ))

The fae appeared lost, deep within her thoughts. Marvel tilted his head slightly, unsure if he should repeat his question. He felt quite uneasy with the way she stared at him, but it was not uncommon to him for others to gawk. There weren't many wolves anymore than wore pure white fur, and he had learned not to let his discomfort show. He allowed her all the time she needed to stare and think.
Eventually, she returned from her thoughts and answered his question softly. He smiled gently at her own question, and wondered exactly how to answer it.
"Who am I?"
He paused, searching for the words he wanted to use.
"I am a celestial wolf. I am a do-er of good and a lover of life. I am a healer of ills and a gentle touch where there once was none."
He paused yet again, smiling.
"I prefer to be known by my actions and my intentions, rather than my name... but I suppose for the sake of formality I may share it with you. My ancestors have dubbed me Marvel."

"Marvel?" She echoed. She repeated his words in her head, 'I am a celestial wolf. I am a do-er of good and a lover of life. I am a healer of ills and a gentle touch where there once was none.' She glanced over him. "Celestial wolf..." She nodded. "It is nice to meet you, Marvel." She dipped her head.
Her heart skipped a couple beats, A gentle touch where there once was none.... could that mean me? But she had her mother, she knew that. She shook her head slightly. Useless, I am just looking for excuses, how old am I now? She had lost track. She glanced at his wings once more. "I never heard of a celestial wolf before, sorry..." She smiled sheepishly. "I wouldn't be known for great things, I probably will never be known at all except for the few wolves that run into me, you are the second wolf I have seen... my name is Rina, a-and I am a winged wolf, but I am different, I-I don't always have my wings on me.." She shrugged. "I-It's hard to explain, I don't know how this works anyways." She stuttered over her words.
Rina took a deep breath, "I guess it's best to show you." She glanced back at her wings, she was partially shocked that she still had them out, but now that she thought about it, she hadn't asked them away. She spread her large wings, and wished them away. At the very tips, feathers gave away, flowing away into the wing. Her wings became numb and it felt like a rock hit the it of her stomach as the wings gave away and now only feathers remained, flowing and dancing away in the wind. She looked at the wolf, to see his reaction. She dropped her ears, lowering her tail, if he was afraid, hopefully he wouldn't attack her, call her a witch, or a monster, but he was celestial.
Do celestial wolves attack other wolves? She repeated his words once more in her head, closing her eyes, 'I am a celestial wolf. I am a do-er of good and a lover of life. I am a healer of ills and a gentle touch where there once was none.' A smile appeared on her face, fear edged away and she opened her eyes, now soft and welcoming, her shyness was still great, but she was a little more open. She sat down openly and awaited for his reaction.

As she repeated his name, he nodded happily. He treasured his identity.
As she dipped her head, he sat down. His legs were tired from standing. He had been traveling since the early morning and, although it was only mid-afternoon, was feeling slightly weary. As he sat, he watched her shake her head. He almost missed it, but caught it just in time. Tilting his head again, he wondered what she was thinking about. Behind her fear, there seemed to be a great sadness. He could sense it within her, although he knew not from where it stemmed.
He was relieved when she smiled back at him. And as she began to speak, he laughed. It did not surprise him that she was unfamiliar with his kind.
"Do not feel bad. Few wolves know of Celestials."
He collected himself, and continued to speak.
"I do like your name, Rina. It is very unique. I've never met a 'Rina' before. And I am interested to see h-"
He paused, watching as her wings dissipated. His mouth dropped slightly open in wonder as feathers rained down upon and around him. What was this?
"I must say, I've never seen that happen before either. It's wonderful." A feather landed upon his paw as she drooped. Marvel did not understand her behavior, but neither did he question it. As she had said, she had not met many wolves, so he did not expect her to be fully aware of social courtesies.
"I wish I could do that."
He looked back at his wings. They were large and heavy. He had become accustomed to carrying them around. In fact, he was so used to them now that he hardly noticed they were there. Having wings was now a natural part of his life, and he had grown to love them.
"Don't get me wrong, I love having wings. It offers a freedom like no other. But, sometimes I wish I could... erm... wish them away... as I pleased."
He chuckled again, tilting his head back as he laughed.
"Sometimes they are a slight burden. Other wolves stare at them. I can never really tell if they are staring in fear or wonder until they speak. There have been some wolves who hate me merely because I possess wings. They see them as an abomination."
He paused, reflecting. He was still smiling, only thoughtful.
"I would not give them up for anything, though."
He noticed now that she seemed more open to him. It made him happy that she no longer seemed so afraid. He supposed he couldn't blame her though. There were a lot of strange individuals in the world.
"May I ask what brought you to the graveyard? Personally, I find them peaceful... And, I suppose I have a sort of curiosity towards things of the afterlife."

Her heart dropped when she saw him pause. It seemed as if an hour passed bye while she awaited his full response. He likes me name.... She offered quietly to herself, almost smiling at her own joke. His statement caught her off guard. She looked up at him, surprised. Her ears perked.
He wishes to be a freak like I am? Though, he called it wonderful... She watched him carefully, not wanting to scare him away now. He seemed happier that she had opened a little bit more up. She looked back at his wings when he did. "Your wings are so pre-" She paused, she was almost sure that a male wouldn't want to be called 'pretty' so she stuttered out her next words, "M-M-Magnificent." Premagnificent? Wow... She wanted to groaned and bite herself on the muzzle. She nodded, but it wasn't as easy as that.
She was always hungry, and tired. She could hardly take care of herself, but the gods always seem to shine down on her and give her easy prey, or a place to rest. Her stomach clicked quietly, she was hungry, in need of more nutrition. His laugh was so joyful, she wan't to join along just because his voice compelled her to, but she just smiled shyly, dipping her head.
I guess wings are just a burden... Rina though to herself, she wondered why wolves got angry at others for having something they did not. She paused, her ears perking once more, Could they really hate someone that much...? "A c-couple days after my wings came, these marks began to appear... She motioned to the bright orange marks. She glanced at him, beginning to think that she said too much. "What brought me to the graveyard?" She tilted her head, but her stomach decided to answer her instead with a low rumble. She flattened her ears, "That comes with the wings.." She whispered shyly. "I needed rest, or I was going to pass out while I was flying, and this was the best place I could find so no one else would find me... guess you did." She added with a hopeful smile, she looked to the sky. She breathed in slowly, suddenly wishing her mother was here beside her, she would hunt for her, teach her how to hunt. Suddenly tears threatened to spill from Rina's eyes. With her eyes watery she glanced at the celestial wolf and tried to blink the water works away. She gulped dryly, taking in a deep breath. Rina's mother had been so kind to her, why did she have to leave the world so soon? Why did those stupid wolves have to come and kill her family? Why did she have to be so small? So unwanted in the world... She controlled her tears, before one had a chance to run down her muzzle. Rina glanced at him once more, offering a small smile.
