North.
She wanted to go north. No no, that was wrong. She came from the east, so she needed to go south more. Right? Oh hell, she didn't know. Zillah frowned as she looked around at the trees around her, as if they would some how speak to her and tell her what she needed to hear. But they were as silent as statues, ignoring her and not telling her a thing.
As if it made a difference she glared at the nearest one and the black beauty with the red-stripped butt sat down with an unceremonious plop. Snow drifted down from the heavens, speckling her pelt. Her eyes peered around. One was a bright pink color, the only one with sight that tried to pick out other forms of life. The other was a milky pink color, obviously blind, but it was ever moving, seeking out the spirits of those who still lingered from beyond their graves.
She was in territory she ahd never encountered before. The area around them was so soft and serene, even the dead seemed at peace. She had been heading to her fathers homeland, the lands of Fire Wells, when she must have gotten turned around by accident. She again glared at the nearest tree, and again blamed it for all her troubles.

((OoC: Mind if I join?))
With her pack the size it was, it was understaffed in regards to the Toran, or scouts. Members of the pack appointed for other positions had agreed to make a few rounds every so often to check the territory.
Ea preferred the forested area. It was such a peaceful place, one that seemingly no harm could be done to anyone or anything. She was just starting on her route when she caught the faint scent of another wolf. Intrigued, she followed the trail until it was fairly strong.
Her white pelt keep her hidden...for the most part. The black markings on her leg and chest stood out a bit, but so did her bi-colored eyes. The pendant swaying at her throat moved with her stride, catching what light there was and reflecting it.
Assuming her sister was off somewhere in the highlands, Ea figured she would investigate-even meet-this new wolf.
She remained as stealthy as she could as she approached the other female. From a tree a number of yards from where the strange wolf sat, Ea watched. The other wolf didn't seem combative or even aggressive, but she knew all too well how much a facade could fool a person.
In actuality, though, this wolf seemed a little...lost. She gazed around the trees as if looked for something with flashes of conviction. By now, Ea figured her presence was already known, so why not say 'Hi'.
She stepped out from behind her tree and walk a few steps out, ever slow, ever cautious. She sat down slowly, lowered her head in greeting and spoke up. "May I ask your name?"

((Sorry went out of town yesterday lol))
Where Ea could blend in well with the snowy surroundings, Zillah stuck out like the sore thumb she felt like. Her tail twitched in aggitation as she continued to look around. Because of her bad eye, she often did miss much. Subtle movements coming from her left side often went unnoticed, her blind eye unable to pick up true physical things. It wasn't until she heard the crunch of snow did her head swing around to look at what was coming near.
Naturally, the fur along her neck and spine spiked upward, a form of warning. She didn't like being caught off guard like she often was. She watched Ea warily for a moment, unsure of the other fae's intentions. She was moving slow, her head dropping in mild greeting. She wanted to know her name and Zillah shifted uncomfortably. 'Zillah.' She said shortly, though she felt it didn't matter. She wasn't here to stay or make friends. 'And yours?'

((OoC: No worries ))
A warm smile spread across Ea's face. She was glad this female-Zillah-seemed to be a better tempered individual than many she had met before. That, and the fact that the eyes of the wolf before her gave away an unfortunate flaw: She was blind in one of them. Ea made a mental note to try and stay on the opposite side so as to not startle the already agitated Zillah.
"I am Ea." She looked around a moment before continuing. "If you don't find the question too intrusive, may I ask what it is you are doing wandering around up here?" Her head was tilted to the side in genuine curiosity. It was completely possible Zilla was lost, just as it was possible she was wandering. If she was lost, perhaps Ea could help her find her way.

Normally Zillah was as much a loner as anything else. The living often annoyed her, but their company was often better than that of the deads. She had learned from her travels what to expect from rogues and from packs. The question Ea dropped only meant one thing: she was in a packs land. Very easily they could have attacked and cornered her, but to her luck only one member came out and asked her what it was she was doing.
She licked her lips, getting a small layer of snow onto her tongue which melted fairly quickly. But answering the question would admit to something Zillah hated and she made a small face as she glanced around. Her head lowered, as wella s her ears. 'I'm..' she swallowed, 'lost.' she mumbled the last word as embarrassment seeped right through her. Oh she prayed to the heavens that Ea didn't find it funny.

Ea didn't laugh, though she kind of wanted to. She understood, though, how easy it could be to get lost in the white vastness of the land. Instead of giggling, her smile only grew friendlier. From the look on Zillah's face, she could guess that laughing was the last thing she wanted to hear.
"Were was it that you were headed, Zillah? Perhaps i could help." She swished her tail in the snow behind her to signal the friendly and benign suggestions. Se was willing, even happy to help this female to where she had meant to go, but where was that exactly? Perhaps the watery lands? Or the ruins? or perhaps her old homeland?

No laughter came and Zillah spared a glance up toward Ea. She was smiling but not out right laughing. Tension eased slightly from her shoulders but she stayed where she was. She asked where she was headed and the young fae straightened, "The Fire Wells.' She waited a beat then realized they may call the volcanic land something else, 'I dont know where it is from here. But its a land that has volcanoes and smells like sulfur for miles outside of the territory.'

The fire wells? Ea's brow furrowed ever so slightly. She hadn't heard of a place by that name before, but she'd heard tales of a place engulfed in omnipresent fire. She had not been sure of the legitimacy of the stories before, but she reconsidered them now.
Another thought struck her as well. If this wolf was headed to that place, more than likely there were other wolves-or even a pack-there, and if that was true, just maybe she could somehow meets with their leaders and form a friendship, or even an alliance!
"The Fire Wells, huh?" Ea said thoughtfully, "I have not heard of that place before, but I have heard tales of a place surrounded by ash and fire." She looked around and the glistening that surrounded them. When her gaze returned to Zillah, Ea's expression was neutral. "Wouldn't such a place as that be much farther south than here?" From what Ea could surmise, it seemed Zillah had walked arrived from the south-east direction. Or had she com in from straight east? "How exactly did you get to here?"

The fae's brows came together and Zillah knew the other didn't know the name. But she hadn't only never heard of hte place, she figured it was only a rumor. Zillah shrunk down a few degrees. Lost and the ones who could help her weren't even sure themselves. She got more detailed and Zillah had to blink at her. She looked around for a moment then back to Ea, 'If I knew where to go from here I wouldn't be lost.'
She shifted in her spot, kicking some snow off of her body and crunching the stuff beneath her butt. 'I can't really even tell you which way I came from.' Oh yeah, she was all turned around.

Zillah slumped, seeming to give up hope. Ea hadn't meant for that to happen. She wanted to help this wolf as best she could, but how could she if she didn't even know where to look? Perhaps her sister knew.
The idea struck her and her eyes lit up. "I have an idea! Come with me to find my sister. She may know of the Fire Wells and be able to help." If Zillah agreed to go with her, they would head a little south to where her her sister was posted.
'Gods, this place is dull.' Darklight thought to herself. She lay across a small outcrop, her head on her paws. The day seemed to be dragging on far too long...
