It was amazing to him how much was in the air, unsaid, yet felt between them. He wondered if she noticed it also. How strange, and yet he hardly thought it had only been caused by their moment of physical contact just after eating before. No, this had been building up for quite some time. It was only now that it was finally showing. Perhaps because in other times, others had been around? He wasn't sure.
In any case, everything was becoming more and more obvious and he found himself thinking once more of how long the storm might last. And he found himself hoping it would last quite some time. He pushed the thought aside. Should he think such things?
Her voice pulled him from his thoughts as his apology had her from hers. It seemed they both had so much on their minds. Unspoken. Yet it was as though the thoughts longed to be put aloud. No, not yet. He smiled and nodded at her, rising to follow. "Wouldn't pass up the chance for adventure," he said lightly, almost teasing. Now that was something he would not have said only a brief amount of time before, before he had come here... and met her.
Oh but he would do anything for her, go anywhere with her. Of this he was certain. Was it only now the realization hit him? Or had he known all along..?
He followed her deeper, his own eyes briefly following her figure and then averting his gaze to the stone walls once more. How beautiful she was, he thought to himself. How he longed to tuck her into his chest and be near her. He caught himself and tried to push the thoughts away before they went any further. He hoped she hadn't noticed his own eyes on her. He hadn't noticed her doing the same to him before.
He noticed a sparkle in the darkness tucked in a pocket in the stone. It lay deep in the space cut between the floor and the wall, though if either one dipped their paw in they would be able to flip whatever the object was out of the crevice. He peered down. "I think my paw might be too big..." he murmured.

There was something between them , she could feel it. She hoped he felt it too. She liked him, probably more than she should as Serra, but could he feel the same way? From what she remembered with her parents, her mother had been someone important before she ran away and found her father, who was far from royal or anything like that. Rank hadn't meant much to her parents, maybe it shouldn't to her either.
But when she tried to think how she could steer the conversation to try and see how he felt about her, she drew a blank. She could think of absolutely nothing. The only think that popped into her head was her secret. Her transformation. She could change here, as the moon wasn't visible, but what would he think? What would he do? Her heart sunk as she thought of the worst.
It picked up again when he spoke. To tell the truth, she had not noticed the eyes on her, although she usually would have, especially from him. He was looking at something that lay in a crevice in the rock floor. She looked at his paws-they were so big-and then at hers. They were easily small enough to fit into the space and flip over whatever it was that shown in the ground.
"I'll try" she said as she walked over. The sparkle was almost mesmerizing. Tentatively, she reached her paw down. She found purchase and pulled back, flipping it over and out.
((OoC: Did you have something in mind for what it is, or does it matter?))

((Perhaps some sort of jewel? I don't particularly mind, but since it was your idea, what ever you had in mind is fine with me.))

OoC: Okee doke ^-^
iC:
The sound of a rock clattering against the cave's floor would come to their ears as Ea flipped the stone out of the crevice. The stone was round and smooth, a foggy blue color, though it seemed to shine within itself. He wasn't sure he had ever seen a stone which looked like it and he wondered what type it was. He glanced at Ea briefly, then once more at the stone, moving to push it toward her. What to say?
"Serra... I know you already wear a gem about your neck, but if I found a way to have it fastened, would you wear it?" he asked. He felt so sure and yet so uncertain. It was driving him crazy how near they were, how easy it would be to just say he thought she was the most beautiful, kind, and wonderful wolf he'd ever met. But it was so hard! How was it things had gotten here anyway?
He was baited for her response, his heart beating in his chest.

The stone was a beautiful blue. Foggy, yet it seemed to have a sort of luminescence about it. She was absorbed by it. "It's so pretty." She mumbled under her breath. Just then, Akuma spoke as well. She looked at him as he spoke, and she wondered. Was it a trick of the light, or did he look as nervous as she felt?
She felt the words forming in her throat. "Akuma I..." have feelings for you. She cut the words off before they spewed forth. She recovered and finished instead by saying "would love to wear it. It can be a moment of our adventures in this cave together." She smiled to show her sincerity.
She hadn't realized it till now, but she had been inching closer and closer to him. She didn't move away this time though. Would he notice? Would he move away? She hoped not. She found herself looking into his eyes. What a beautiful color they were.

He felt relieved at first, and then a slight sinking feeling when she said it could be a testament of their adventure. He was hoping it would mean a little more than just that. Maybe he was pushing his luck too much. Afterall... they were just stuck here until the storm was over so they were making the most of it. Yea...
Her eyes locked with his and he felt his heart quicken in his chest. He should just be honest with her. What was there to lose? Well... everything in one respect. There was a risk... but... she was worth it to him. The risk. And everything.
"Ea," he murmured, "I was hoping it would mean more than that to you. I..." his words caught in his throat, "hopeitwouldsignifymyloveforyou..."
If he were human, his cheeks would have turned beat red, but he didn't look away. He felt his heart hammering in his chest, anxious, and hoping it weren't so loud she could hear it. He felt he might burst. How would she respond?

He did not move or flinch. She could feel her chest thump thump thumping away and her body grew warm. The anticipation was tangible in the air. Why had his face fallen when she said memento? Perhaps...
She did not have to wait long to find out why. He kept her gaze as he spoke, though he was obviously nervous. He spoke her name and her heart picked up. The rest made her heart skip a beat and her eyes widen, but only slightly. His...love for her? He loved her? Could it possibly be true?
She was over-joyed and nervous and wary and so many other things. She would close the distance between them and nuzzled under his chin, if he were ok with that. "Is...is that how you really feel about me?" After he answered, she would lay her head on his chest and reply "Because I have had feelings for you as well, I just...I didn't know if you felt the same, or what you felt at all. As Serra, I thought all I could do was be strong and hide my feelings." She sighed and settled closer to him, if he allowed her to. She felt a huge weight lift off of her as she told him this. She had been waiting for the right male, and Akuma was just right.

His heart was already pounding and when she came up and nuzzled beneath his chin, it seemed to go into hyper drive. She asked him if that was really how he felt and then explained her own feelings. He let out his breath, not realizing he had been holding it, and felt his heart slow some. "Yea... that's how I feel about you," he stated. It felt good for her to know, for it to be said out loud finally. "You're the most amazing wolf I've ever met," he added.
Then, to her other words he said, "I know what you mean.... I thought I had to hide mine because you are the Serra. But... I couldn't any longer."
He was hesitant at first, but then he nuzzled her back, and then held her close as best as a wolf can, wanting to just stay like that. Perhaps the raging storm outside had been a nice little blessing. It was funny to him that not so long ago, she had excitedly nuzzled him and he had pushed her away, despite his other desires, and now it had come here where he could nuzzle her and hold her all he wanted. If she allowed, he attempted to lick her muzzle affectionately, and once again felt a wave of shyness hit him. "I love you, Ea..."

Ea'S heart sped up. She was filled to the brim with joy. She let him show his affection and offered her's back. She was so filled with emotion, that when he said he loved her, she about cried. She had been waiting to hear those words, those three precious words, from him. "Akuma, I..."
But before she could finish, that terrible thought struck her. He does not know about my other form. The thought crushed her, and she pushed away slightly to look into his eyes. "Akuma, there is something about me you don't know. Something very important."
She searched his face, and prayed. She backed away a few paces, and took a deep breath. "There is something I have to show you, before I can return your love, and before you can be sure you love me." She swallowed and took a deep breath before continuing. "If you cannot look at me the same, after this, I will understand." She paused one last time. "Here it goes."
She closed her eyes. She focused on the pendant at her throat, and tuned out everything else. Akuma would see a light begin to emanate from the pendant. The light would be a bright white that would envelop Ea's body. It would frame her figure, that would begin to change shape. For this short time, the sweet song that Ea always heard would be audible to Akuma as a soft whisper. The song could draw emotion from even hardened beings.
Slowly, Ea's form began to shift. Her hind legs lengthened and changed shape, as did her fore-legs, which turned to arms. Her torso shifted and the spine straightened. Her tail retreated, as did her ears. Her fur receded, except for certain places on her body, like her head, which sported long white locks. Here eyes stayed the same familiar shape, and the markings on the arm and chest remained.
The light began to fade, as did the song, revealing the human form of Ea. She had no clothes on, but not having been around humans, she did not feel shame in her nakedness. She opened her eyes, which were still the same bi-colored sun gold and ocean blue. She glanced shyly at Akuma. "This," she said, her voice shaking slightly with the fear that he would now reject her, "is my other form." She glanced again to gauge his reaction to this new knowledge. Would he still love her? Would he hate her? No one knew of this, except her sister and her family, but...they were gone. She wanted to be able to trust Akuma with this knowledge, but if he could not accept it...

OoC: Dun dun dun! XD
iC:
He was so excited and happy as he felt her against him and his ears perked at her voice. At first, she seemed so happy too, ecstatic, to be with him. But then, something changed. He could feel it in her demeanor and then it was confirmed as she pulled away and looked into his eyes. Something had her uncertain, cautious still, perhaps. Akuma's eyes softened, "Ea... you can tell me anything." She was talking about something he had to know, something she had to show him. He was curious to what could possibly make her think he might not love her.
He didn't have to wait long to find out.
Blue and purple eyes went from bewildered to awe and amazement to realization. At first, he was in shock, completely caught off-guard. This was definitely the last thing he might have expected. As he watched her shift, it was somehow beautiful and yet so very strange. He had heard of such things before... although he didn't think she was like the werewolves. On the contrary, it seemed this was merely another form. This form, this body still held the same Ea inside. Same heart, same mind, same personality that he had fallen in love with.
She seemed to avoid his gaze, except to glance in fear and uncertainty. He hated to see that look in her eyes directed toward him. Feeling a little awkward about wanting to embrace human flesh, he pushed the awkwarness aside. This was still his Ea. Right?
Large paws quickly closed the distance she had put between them, he seeking to hold her eyes. They were still the same eyes, and that was all he needed. He licked her cheek, if she allowed. "Ea..." he wasn't sure what exactly to say, at first, then decided the same thing he had been thinking. Surely, that would show her what he thought of her form. So he did. "It's still you, just another physical shape, but it's still you inside. The same you I love." He would then try to bend his neck over her shoulder and give her a wolfish hug, which still felt quite strange, but he tried nonetheless. "You don't have to ever be afraid around me," he added, "I love you no matter what."

She wrapped her arms around her chest, both in embarrassment and because it was rather cold within the cave. She waited for his response, stealing herself. That steal, however, cracked when he said her name. It completely melted away when he spoke his feelings.
He moved towards her...and embraced her as a wolf can embrace a human. She threw her arms around his neck and wept for joy. Her heart filled and overflowed with the emotion he had been holding back for so long. Fear, stress, and uncertainty melted and were replaced by the far more filling feelings of love, affection, joy, and strength. Yes, this confirmation of love had given her a new strength. She could feel it coursing through her as she embraced the warm fur of Akuma. "Oh, Akuma. I love you as well."
As she held him, her form began to shift again. She was surrounded once again by that pure white light and the song hummed once again. Ea's body quickly returned to her familiar lupine shape, and she now nuzzled Akuma, and licked his cheek in response to his.
She had never loved a male before, but she knew that love was what this was. And she also knew that she would never love another. She never wanted this moment to end. She wanted him to hold her forever, to never let go.

As strange as all this felt - and was - her words delighted him, making his heart beat faster, he swore. When the song arose again, he thought perhaps he should step back and give her space. But it was warm and he had to admit he did feel a little more comfortable once she was back in that familiar form he knew so well. Not that he didn't like her other form, he thought. Or rather, he pushed the thoughts aside. It didn't matter either way. She was his Ea.
He could feel love and joy swelling as though his heart wanted to burst. She was so dear to him and he couldn't express in words just all that was flowing through him. His gratefulness to her for the second chance at himself. The restoration of himself. Her kindness and welcoming into the pack. Her patience with him and her understanding. As she listened to all he shared. His relief. His growth. And now she returned his love. He felt indebted to her, and yet somehow he knew he wasn't.
"Ea," he whispered again, loving the feel of her name on his lips. He just wanted to be with her. To hold her and nuzzle her. He didn't want to let her go either. All thoughts were gone from his mind except her and his desire to be close to her, closer than he already was. It didn't matter that the storm was starting to fade. Nor the responsibility which would now rest on his shoulders as a result of this. Ea. Just Ea.
He would continued to nuzzle into her fur, rubbing her with a paw now and then and licking at her. Even soft whines of affection escaped him. He would do whatever she wished only to what she allowed. Just so long as he was with her, touching her... And he also talked of sweet nothings in her ear, just to see that light in her eyes or a smile. Even to hear her giggle. It was just him and her. ((Please don't hate me for taking so long ))
The sound of her name on his lips sent a tingle of pleasure from her ear to her spine. She wanted to stay like this forever. She briefly wondered if he realized the responsibility he would be taking upon himself as her mate. He would be Ser, male leader of the pack. She didn't doubt he could handle it, but she still hoped it wouldn't be a problem.
They held each other for a long time, neither wanting to move from the others. He whispered sweet things in her ear, and she would feel her face warm, her heart skip, and a smile or a giggle would follow. He would lick her and she would do so back, returning words and gestures of affection. She felt so safe at his side. So warm, so comfortable, so happy. Even the waning storm did not mar the mood.
Eventually, the storm all but stopped. The only thing left of it was a gentle fall of snow flakes. There wasn't even wind now. Ea was beginning to feel a bit tired. It had been a long day for both of them. She looked into Akuma's eyes, a smile still on her lips. "Perhaps we should rest a while before we go back out." Her smile broadened as a thought struck her. "You might need it for when you see Darklight."

OoC: No worries XD Sorry for disappearing myself <.<; this last month has been very busy for me!
For the time it lasted, he simply enjoyed being with her. This was truly bliss. But finally, she spoke, and she brought up a good point. He glanced outward to where a few snowflakes drifted downward, peacefully decorating the blanket of snow which had already been laid. He glanced at her and raised a brow, releasing a light chuckle. "Yea, you're probably right."
He glanced toward the corner they had laid in before and then at her once more. "Lie with me?" he asked her, his voice low as he dipped his head slightly.
Akuma would then walk over to the spot and plop himself down, lying his head across his paw, a smile in his eyes. "Sweet dreams, dear Ea," he murmured before closing his eyes and drifting into sleep, almost surprised at how tired he really was.
-------
((Hope you don't mind me skipping time))
Akuma awoke, the first thing to meet his eyes being fluffy white fur. He blinked and turned his face forward, yawning and then rising slightly to stretch, shaking out his fur. He sat back and dipped his head, attempting to lick Ea's cheek. She was so beautiful, and amazing. Anything a wolf could ever want in another.
His gaze turned toward the outside of the cave where he could see sunlight peeking in. He wondered how long they had slept, but he was sure it had been a while. Certainly, Darklight would be wondering where Ea was... and probably worried. They should be going.
Once Ea was awake, or if she had been before him, he would ask, "Sleep well?" He would then proceed to head outside, blinking slightly in the light. His eyes had to adjust from being in the cave. "I suppose we should get going..."
