It was hard to admit how broken he was. But he was. He was born into this world with no true goal in mind. Surely, the last thing he had ever expected was to find a mate, to have a family. He wasn't a womanizer like his father had been, females had never proved to be of interest. But funny how fate was. He had two sons no. And now..no mother for them.
The thought of her death sunk deep into his bones and he wasn't sure how to grieve it. All he could do was blame. He had vowed that he'd see the Empress and her mate fall. The only thing stopping him was his brother, Charon. Zephyrus was no match for him. Charon would be difficult to fight, with the spikes that fell along his body. Why the idiot wanted the retard running the lands was beyond him. But then again, death did stupid shit to people.
And here he was. The black and white druin sticking out on the green hills and lush lands like a weed in a rose garden. He wasn't moving. Anger rolled deep within him. Anger he was willing to take out on anything at this point.

[glow=blue,2,300]Oddly, Kellyn didn't see herself tumbling down the hill and into the path of the giant until just before it happened. A small yip escaped before she landed uncerimoniously on her side. She shook herself as she stood not exactly paying attention to her surroundings, used to being completely alone. The she-wolf's eyes narrowed as she looked back up at the narrow path she had been on, the crumbling rock obvious from below as it hadn't been from above. It was so much like her vision that Kellyn almost laughed. About then she noticed she was not alone and that this other wolf was not likely to be the most friendly. Kellyn was always wary of strangers, she had nothing to protect herself except for her sight and her own judgement, which, according to the growing ache in her shoulder, was not much to go by. Still, she had no where to go unless she decided to run now, and that probably wasn't the best idea either. Stuck and searching her sight for her best option, Kellyn waited for the giant to make a move. She said nothing so he could ignore her if he so chose, or not, she really couldn't tell.[/glow]

Things were going less than perfect then it just happened. He stopped short as he heard a noise. White eyes blinked and he looked to the right just in time to see something rolling down. The ball of fur just landed right in him. The Druin looked down at the wolf not amusement on his face.
His tail flickered as he gazed down at the female. He had been looking for something to beat the shit out of. Unfortunately , he had been hoping it was someone he could fight. The tiny thing before him would stand no chance. Not to mention he wasn't one to pick on defenseless females.

[glow=blue,2,300]Kellyn doubted now that the wolf would attack her, she could see his hesitance, but luck had never been on her side. "I'm sorry for nearly falling on you." Her eyes looked up to meet his and for the first time she saw what everyone else must see in her eyes. It made her stare much longer than normal but Kellyn had only others' descriptions to go off of when it came to her eyes, she had never seen them. Catching herself she looked down, not knowing if she would offend him. Kellyn had no idea who he was, she did not make it her business to know the packs. Being a loner she was rarely in any area long enough to do more then hunt and move on. That way she wouldn't form connections and she wouldn't fail those she loved again. She looked back at him. It also meant she could usually keep herself out of trouble, though lately she was wondering if her vision was failing.[/glow]

She apologized for nearly colliding with him and he took a gaze back at the hill she had come tumbling down. Yeah that would have been painful, even for his size. He glanced back at her and she just stared. He lifted a brow, unsure of why she was staring. If she thought he was big, she should see his other siblings. He was small compared to them...well the ones that were living at least.
The prince looked her over and his frown seemed to deepen. 'You're not from here.' No question, just a fact. 'You're stupid for traveling in these lands.' It waas something close to suicide.

[glow=blue,2,300]Whether he meant to insult her or not, Kellyn didn't care she simply shrugged, "Not really. Most times I can pass through a land and never see another living thing. But then I manage to do things like this." Her gaze flickered to the rock but her head never moved. "I doubt you are going to kill me though." She almost smiled, her mouth curling just slightly at the corners. Not enough to be a true smile, it faded as quick as it appeared. He might not consider himself large but she stood just above three foot and that was small in such a world as hers. Remembering he had noticed she was not from around the area she sat off to the side of his path, the scars across her eye casting a strange shadow on her face. "No, I'm not from around here, but I'm probably not the only one. I'm not really from anywhere." Curiously, and likely at a great cost to her health, Kellyn remained. She wasn't particularly afraid of him but he didn't seem in the least bit interested in being friendly towards her. Unbeknownst to her, she was probably offending him in every way possible, she being unaware of any of the royals of Gaiku or anything to do with any of the packs.[/glow]

She doubted he would kill her and he became aggitated at that thought. To him, she was calling him weak, as if he didn't have the guts to do it. Granted he didn't want to do it, but in the mood he was currently in it was very tempting. Zephyrus watched her, those white eyes narrowing slightly, 'Not many loners come through here. They're either killed or used as slaves.' His black tail flickered, 'Staying here isn't wise.'

[glow=blue,2,300]"If you say so." Kellyn stood watching him. "You don't smell like the others that are around. Who are you?" Her curiousity had been building since he hadn't ripped her to pieces and now she was brave enough, or stupid enough, to ask him outright. She hadn't met anyone like him, he never seemed to make up his mind, like he was living moment to moment, but maybe it was just his mood. Whatever it was she had the most difficult time trying to see what he would do next. It flickered moment to moment and every chance seemed just as equally possible as the next. It made her head spin in a way it hadn't done since she was a pup. Kellyn didn't make a move to walk off, not knowing what he would do made her hesitant to give him her back, not that it would really make a difference. She waited for him, tail held slightly away from her in a way that was obviously not timid but not aggressive either. Her stance was a little off since her shoulder still hurt. It wasn't broken but she'd have an interesting few days ahead.[/glow]

Who was he? Great question. he wasn't even sure any more. And really, she had no right to ask. His size should have given it away to any pack members. But her not being part of the pack, well it just made sense why she wouldn't know who he was. 'It doesn't matter who I am.' He was who he was and right now he wasn't even assured of his rank any more.

[glow=blue,2,300]Kellyn's ear flattened giving her a somewhat commical, sure-whatever look but she shrugged and began to make her way down the trail, slowly because her shoulder was now very tender. "No, I suppose it doesn't matter to me. But then it never does." Purposefully she was headed in the same direction that he had been. He was just as liable to rip her to shreds as he was to follow her because she annoyed him. She hoped he would follow her a little ways because she knew that others wouldn't attack something as large as him as fast as they would something as small as her. "My name is Kellyn Selia and I'm a Seer. That way if you decide I'm annoying enough to get rid of, you'll know." She smiled back over her shoulder at him then continued on her slow walk. It was more of a prod then anything else. She still didn't think he'd hurt her.[/glow]

She started to walk away from him, ironically in the way he had been walking. He noticed the lip in her shoulder as he watched but all the same, he wasn't sure if he should be annoyed or not. She technically was in his way. She was still speaking, talking over her shoulder, giving him her name. He frowned slightly. 'I don't need your name to get rid of you.'

[glow=blue,2,300]Kellyn glanced back at him with a look of annoyance plain in her features. He was missing the point. "It wasn't for your benefit, grouchy." Her tail flicked as she continued. "I would prefer if someone killed me, they at least knew who they were killing not just some nameless body." Suddenly the road in front of became very interesting as she waited for his response to that. She might have let her mouth run away with her again. Again it proved just how faulty her judgement might be no thanks to her sight. Truth was she wasn't even thinking about it when she had said it. Now she was and she wondered if wasn't the dumbest thing she did all day.[/glow]

Grouchy? Never before had he been called that. Guess there was first time for everything in this screwed up world. He had a grim line set in his mouth as he moved after her, 'You think if someone wants to kill you, they'd care about your name?' He gave a snort, 'You are just a nameless body to them.' [glow=blue,2,300]She shrugged akwardly and winced slightly at the pain. "I'm not a nameless body to you now. An annoyance maybe, but not nameless." Her previous doubts and hesitation were erased as he snorted at her and she forgot that he was much larger and more powerful than she was. "You are the only nameless body here now." She looked up at him. It wasn't a snide remark but if he was going to be pointing out facts then so would she.[/glow]

Zephyrus eyed her, slightly admiring her stubbornness. Slightly. He frowned, realizing why he liked it. Phobia had been like that. She had refused to leave the lands, refused to leave him. She had been placid at first but when she found him akin to a friend, that stubborn streak had come right out. Shaking his head he looked around, 'Im not nameless. I just refuse to give you my name.' He gave a casual shrug of his shoulders. He didn't care.
