The night air was cool, brushing Kialona's face gently as she padded softly across the ground. The young wolf had been traveling for quite a while, searching for a place to settle, and these fields seemed perfect.
A movement in the corner of her eye indicated that it was time to eat, so she turned. There she could see a soft brown rabbit swiftly sprinting away. She took off like an arrow, her chains jangling merrily as she gave chase. The rabbit was fast, but not fast enough to escape the crushing jaws of his adversary. Kialona made quick work of the small animal, gratefully reaping the fruits the land offered her. Lifting her head from her kill, she glanced at the sky and gave a muted howl.

Sitting on one of the grassy hilltops, Helgarm looked at his brother. They had been out here for quite some time. Despite being members of the Akeru pack, they still preferred the solitude these hills provided. So here they sat, together, and with almost stern looks on their faces watching the horizon, not really looking at anything. Finally, they'd been in one spot for long enough. With a brief glance at each other, they stood up and began walking. As they walked, they scented many critters frightened by their presence. It didn't matter. They didn't need them for sustenance at the moment anyway. They simply walked until they heard a quiet howl. Curious, Ietgarm sniffed and looked in the direction of the howl. Rubbing his head on his brother's neck, he then looked up at him pleadingly. Helgarm snorted, annoyed that Ietgarm felt the need to follow every trace of another wolf. Then rolling his eyes, Helgarm started off in the direction of the howl, prompting his brother to come prancing up beside him, obviously pleased. ((They don't really talk all that much, especially when alone with each other.))

Finishing her meal, Kialona was ready to begin moving again when her ear flicked to the side. It was faint, but she heard the grass rustle as it what disturbed by movement. She stood still, watching for any sort of threat. After a moment, she decided that the approaching company weren't of any immediate concern, and so she waited till they drew closer. Her breath froze in the air, white and hot, then rose like a cloud.

As they approached the source of the howl, the twins scented what was, indeed, a wolf, and faintly a recent kill as well. It didn't matter, since it didn't smell like a wolf had been killed, probably just a rabbit or something similar. They were nearly there, more cautious now, since they didn't recognize the scent of this wolf. They stepped through the brush into view of the wolf. As it turned out, it was a female, with many colors on her fur. It seemed as if she was waiting on them. Not terribly surprising, considering they didn't really sneak up on her. Looking at her, they sat, Ietgarm sniffing at the air in her direction, curious, but otherwise doing nothing.

Kialona watched their approach patiently, curious despite her better judgement. She wandered if it was her scent or her kill that drew them to her, but nevertheless was someone content to have company. For a moment she stood, watching them silently. She she stepped forward just a bit, lowering her head in a domesticated dog greeting. It was her way, still retaining the mannerisms of her mother. Her chains rattled as she drew her head back up, a single word carrying out on her silvery breath: "Evening". It wasn't a very elaborate greeting, but simplicity carried class in her own mind.

((Sorry for late response, had things cropping up everywhere for the last few days.))
The twins dipped their heads in kind, almost simultaneously. Figuring something else was necessary, Helgarm simply said, "Hello." They could tell this was either a loner, or a member of a small pack. She smelled more of the forest than other wolves. That was just as well, most of their dealings were with loners. In fact, were it not for loners who had helped them in the past, they would not know how to speak, or understand spoken word. So here they sat, waiting for a response. Ietgarm laid down, but Helgarm stayed sitting, his chest puffed out a bit as he watched her.
